Now reading: Chapter 332 - 234: The Outrageous Commander from The Last King Of Darkness, a Eastern novel by Mountains and rivers have no memory.

The thunderous sound and light effects of the Thunder Stone far surpassed its actual power.

The simultaneous explosion of twenty Thunder Stones sounded like rolling thunder, awakening this ancient town that had slumbered for a thousand years.

Molly’s Spiritual Vision was around 50, and with her sight alone, she could see more than fifty monstrous creatures charging towards them.

A look of distortion appeared for the first ti on her usually cold and serious face.

"Are you insane?"

According to standard combat principles, this was already a small battle that required a fully equipped team, at least 150 Seventh Level combatants, or 75 Sixth Level combatants, or 38 Fifth Level combatants, to accomplish the mission normally.

"There’s no way we can deal with so many giant beasts!"

"Could you at least give a heads-up before you act?"

Filled with regret, Rod said, "Sorry, I forgot for a mont."

For the first ti, Molly felt the urge to hit soone; she had never seen such an unreliable Commander.

She took a deep breath and forced her rational mind to return.

"Commander, we must retreat south imdiately, we absolutely can’t draw the monsters near the Underground City stronghold. I’ll notify everyone on the way to clear out, and we’ll figure out how to deal with this group of monsters later."

Since just now, Rod’s gaze had been fixed straight ahead, unwavering for a single mont. He nodded and said, "You better start running."

Molly’s tone showed noticeable urgency for the first ti.

"What are you planning to do? Your Spiritual Energy cannon can’t kill so many giant beasts, your Spiritual Power Strength is insufficient, run now before it’s too late!"

Far from heeding her words, Rod took large strides forward.

In front of him, countless monstrous creatures sprinted towards him.

Their long arms and legs, and their burly figures were covered with misshapen growths, their gray flesh as hard as rock.

Powerful Spiritual Energy surged within their bodies, and the approaching Rod appeared as insignificant as an ant.

"Molly, you run fast to avoid getting caught in the middle of it," he said.

A gust of wind blew by, and Rod’s coat fluttered in the wind, giving off a sense of a hero facing death.

Molly clenched her teeth and chased after him.

This ti, it was Rod who beca anxious: "Don’t stay here! You’ll get in my way!"

But suddenly, Molly’s figure turned into a thin mist and flew directly into his body.

A cool female voice ca from inside Rod’s stomach.

"My Soul Trait is Puppeteer, allowing to possess others and assist in combat."

Rod sensed for a mont and felt she had established so sort of remarkable connection with his body.

But his soul wasn’t disturbed.

"Not bad, your Characteristic is quite useful," Rod praised with a smile. "You’ll get to witness my heroic stance."

The cool voice beca slightly distorted, "Be careful! The giant beasts are coming!"

Whoosh!

A forceful wind hit his face as a giant club larger than Rod himself smacked down toward his head.

Rod swiftly dodged to the side, the giant club grazing past his face.

Boom!

The ground was smashed into a crater half a yard deep, the whole surface quaking montarily.

A blustery wind ca at him, making Rod feel suffocated as dust filled the air within dozens of yards.

Molly quickly said, "Don’t try to block with your Spiritual Energy at all costs, their weapons are the malignant growths sprouting from their bodies, any contact will lead to infection and malignant mutations in your body."

Rod used the wind to leap tens of yards back. He had not even landed when the sound of whooshing ca rushing toward him.

He tapped his foot, and his body lunged forward, dropping to the ground.

The giant club flew over his head, the wind scraping painfully against his scalp.

Another quick movent avoided a second smash of the club.

More monstrous creatures sward him, and despite Rod’s swift actions, the situation was fraught with danger.

Molly urged anxiously, "The giant beasts are incredibly strong and fast, their Spiritual Energy is dense and tough; their only drawback is not being nimble enough, but their numbers can compensate for that flaw. That’s why we normally take them down separately."

"Now that we’ve drawn so many, they can’t be beaten without a team. We should really retreat now, I can use my Spiritual Body to attack and distract them."

Rod was too busy dodging and weaving through the intense combat to respond.

But his path wasn’t moving towards the outer circle; instead, he was closing in on the center of the monsters.

A sinking feeling filled Molly’s heart; she rembered clearly from Rod’s file that his Spiritual Energy cannon needed at least 60 to 80 seconds to accumulate energy.

How could he possibly build up energy in the center of the monsters?

What in the world did he plan to do?

Rod continuously dodged the giant clubs’ assaults, moving through the monstrous creatures like a fish through water.

His profound foundational skills were put to unparalleled use at this mont: every movent was incredibly efficient and smooth, each attack dodged by a hair’s breadth.

Finally, he reached the center of the encirclent.

Looking around, he saw that all the disturbed giant beasts had convened there.

At least one hundred fifty of them.

This was the number of creatures Molly had planned to hunt over the course of a week.

Good!

Rod’s spirit flickered, and within half a second, he retrieved the item he intended to use from the Dream Realm.

As Molly could sync with the sensations of his body, she imdiately noticed sothing had appeared in Rod’s right hand.

"Round... the size of a fist... is it a Thunder Stone?"

Her tone beca extrely anxious.

"Rod, Thunder Stones are useless, the Spiritual Energy thickness of the giant beasts can’t be penetrated by Thunder Stones, it’s a difference in rank, quantity doesn’t matter..."

But Rod shut her up with just one sentence.

"It’s not a Thunder Stone."

"...Then what is it?"

"Kales’ Sa Temperature Cannon."

Rod said with a smile, revealing a term she had never heard before, as he began to inject Spiritual Energy into it.
