From their mouths, Rod knew that they were all academy-trained fighters—raised in the standard environnt of the academy, with the characteristic that both their foundation and theory were very solid, though they had slightly less combat experience.
At the sa ti, most of them were special students, who had perford excellently in the graduation trials, directly leaping across social strata, becoming Fourth Level or Fifth Level Combatants in one fell swoop, and gaining further developnt in a very short ti, achieving harmony between Spirit and flesh, and subsequently entering the Fire Hall smoothly to beco Reserve mbers.
"Are there many people like you?" Rod asked.
Ryan from Green Grass Town answered, "According to the academy’s statistics, it’s about 0.07 percent."
The woman who was duped exclaid in surprise, "That few? Why do I feel like there are quite a lot of them?"
Lannister from Wood City lifted his glasses and said seriously, "This is a bias effect. Those who are around you all passed the tests, and those who did not pass, those who lacked talent, you never encounter them."
The woman sent his glasses flying with a punch in return.
"Hehe, ’Rod’ is it? Your knowledge is really profound."
So it was you who pretended to be to deceive others... Rod glanced at him indifferently, noting that the guy had regular features and was clean-cut, indeed sowhat similar to him, just less imposing in handsoness, no wonder the lady had been fooled by accident.
Lannister pushed up the pieces of his broken glasses and said calmly, "Cilly from Flower City, I never admitted I was Rod; you misunderstood and took the initiative with , thinking my explanations in bed were evasions. Strictly speaking, I am the victim."
Cilly exploded in anger, "Bullshit! You’re just asking for a beating, aren’t you?"
If it weren’t for Rod’s tily intervention, this tactless guy would’ve probably been beaten to death.
After so coaxing and persuading, they finally cald Cilly down, who then pointed at him and cursed.
"If it weren’t for the face of brother Rod today, I would’ve crippled you, you shaless bastard!"
Lannister quietly got up and stood outside.
Rod coughed, "Everyone, don’t fight, we are all the top talents of the Trolians, we should show the deanor of the pillars of humanity."
Ryan from Green Grass Town laughed and said, "Brother Rod, you overestimate us. We are only better than the average people, far from being the very top."
Rod was surprised, "Aren’t you guys the very top?"
"Of course not. The talents of the new generation have unimaginable potential. What’s our achievent compared to theirs?"
"Exactly."
Cilly’s expression was filled with longing.
"Those are our rising stars, the hope of humanity, highly regarded even in the Fire Hall."
Rod couldn’t help but ask, "Who are they? Can I et them?"
"Hmm, let think."
Ryan counted on his fingers, enunciating every word.
"The Valkyrie Teresa, shining in golden light, the Magic Release Evelyn, the Great Sword Tai Luo, the iron clump Rasso, the Undefeated Jessica, the Phantom Silver Cat, the luminescent Fei Xue."
"That’s just recent years."
Rod was surprised, "There were others in previous years?"
"Of course, there are new stars every year."
Suddenly, Cilly shouted, "You forgot the black hole Rod!"
Rod’s face fell imdiately.
"I’m not! I didn’t, I’m just ordinarily excellent like you guys, just a regular Fire Holder."
Ryan laughed and said, "Brother Rod, don’t be modest, you’re much more exceptional than us, I believe you’ll soon outpace us, becoming an even stronger warrior, and holding up an even bigger sky for us."
Rod didn’t know how to argue with such a statent for the mont.
Ryan then pointed to the west and continued,
"Brother Rod, do you see that list? The numbers behind them are their weights, the more missions completed, the higher the weight. Only those at the very front have the qualification to earn more Honor Badges and shoulder greater responsibilities."
"I believe you’ll be among them soon."
Rod was just about to take a closer look when suddenly, there was another commotion in the crowd.
Soone shouted, "The Undefeated Jessica!"
Rod looked up to see a group of stunningly beautiful won entering the Fireplace Area.
His eyes brightened.
Aren’t these all acquaintances?
Classmates from his special student days, companions from the secret branch’s Top Class period, Anna’s sisters whom she deeply missed.
Their common Characteristic was Magic Power Release, supposedly innate strong fighters with exceptional combat strength, while it was Anna, the odd one out, who was so weak that she ended up as Rod’s mount.
According to Horus and the others, whether as special trainees or secret operatives, to them it was all just a prelude; the Hall of Flas was their destined goal.
The stunning beauties walked past them proudly, paying no attention to them, until Rod called out.
"Sister Jessica!"
Only then did the beauties turn around, directing their gaze toward the source of the voice.
"Eh? Isn’t that little Rod? It’s been a while, you’ve already entered the Hall."
"Hehe, didn’t I say little Rod could make it?"
"Wow, look, I told you my judgnt was right; after his spirit and flesh coordinated, his body proportions are simply fantastic!"
"What a pity, Teresa got all the benefits."
Rod blinked, not understanding what "Teresa got all the benefits" ant. He wanted to ask if they could take him on a mission, but the beauties did not stop for him.
"Bye, little Rod."
"See you next ti."
"Take good care of little Anna, don’t bully her, or we will co looking for you."
A fragrant breeze swept past, and the beauties vanished into the depths of the Hall.
And once again, everyone looked at Rod with new respect.
The "Spirit Won Group" was known to be one of the most inaccessible groups; they were extrely strong and extrely dangerous at the sa ti. Their powerful characteristics often made them very aloof, hardly approachable by ordinary people.
To everyone’s surprise, Rod actually knew them and could even talk to them.
"Are they very strong?" Rod asked.
"Very strong," Lannis, from the outer ring, said.
"Especially their actual combat ability, which far exceeds all their other indicators. If it weren’t for certain special regulations, there wouldn’t be just one rising star every year."
Rod felt sowhat puzzled, but he didn’t ask any more.
Just then, a golden light emanated from the fla badge on everyone’s collar; the pattern of the burning fla started to shine, and the golden fras glittered.
"Ergency situation!"
Ryan said imdiately.
"Our combat sequence has been moved to the front line; hurry to the outer hall for assembly!"
No one complained, and everyone sprang into action, rushing to the outer hall like a gale.
Rod was among them, not falling behind at all; it took only a mont to reach the outer hall.
There, a burly figure with a Great Axe and Great Hamr strapped to his back was waiting for them.
Rod recognized him at once. Wasn’t that Guardian Qiuqie’er?
Qiuqie’er turned around, swept a gaze over them that landed on Rod, nodded slightly to him, and said loudly:
"We’ve got an ergency, an unexpected developnt in the Trident River battle; the Underworld connected underneath the river far exceeds our expectations. The stronghold that we just established around it is in danger, and if we don’t turn the situation around quickly, the City Defense Legion fighting bloodily on the southwestern front will suffer heavy losses."
"We will join the battlefield urgently to stabilize the situation until the two major legions consolidate their forces and enter the Trident River Region."
"You will act as an independent combat unit, supporting every point on the battlefield. The mission is urgent; we’ll discuss the details on the way."
Qiuqie’er waved his hand and led the way out.
Everyone followed behind him, rubbing their hands together with excitent.
Ryan whispered, "It’s a battle! Ti for us to show what we’re made of!"
"Right, we might not be super geniuses, but we’re not to be underestimated!"
"Hahaha, my Great Axe has been itching for action!"
Amidst the quiet discussions, everyone followed Qiuqie’er onto the flight deck, where a terrifyingly large Floating Spiritual Power Carriage lood before them.
"Get in."
Qiuqie’er opened the door, and everyone filed in.
Just as Rod was about to get on the carriage with the others, a voice suddenly rang in his ear.
"Brother Rod, I’ve been waiting for a long ti."
"Don’t disappoint !"
