This was hinting at Rod that he would draw the Insect Queen’s attention from the front, allowing him to approach her from the side.
"I can run four hundred yards in one burst of speed," Rod thought.
"Just another hundred yards will do."
But before he could move, the next mont he felt the world trembling before his eyes as if it had shaken.
From a distance, the overwhelming Spiritual Energy surged like a tsunami and rushed at them like a hurricane.
The imnse pressure of Spiritual Energy brought Rod’s own Spiritual Energy to a halt, and he watched in amazent.
The Insect Queen was roaring.
Each face on her tail was emitting a horrific wail, and countless grey mists gathered in the sky above, forming a huge and ferocious ghost face.
A sudden burst of great unease exploded in Rod’s heart, and before he could react, the ghost face quickly swelled to an unprecedented size and lunged at all of them.
"This is bad!"
Herman shouted urgently.
"Run!"
But it was already too late; the ghost face moved too swiftly, and no one could react in ti.
Except for Chucher.
He leaped up in a hurry, his Spiritual Energy bursting forth, taking on the ghost face head-on.
Bang!
Everyone felt a jolt in their hearts, followed by an overwhelming shock wave that made it impossible for them to open their eyes.
Several seconds later, the pressure finally eased.
With a thud.
When the group opened their eyes, the first thing they saw was Chucher falling heavily to the ground from the sky.
Then, two loud clangs—as the great hamr and the great axe dropped nearby.
Herman leaped over and saw that his Spiritual Energy was weakened, his breath was faint, and he had fallen into a deep coma.
At that mont, everyone felt a chill in their hearts.
"Retreat!"
Herman yelled, grabbing Chucher and sprinting backward.
"Mission failed! Retreat quickly!"
But the demonized ants they had just managed to fend off were regathering. Without Chucher, they would not stand a chance against them under the Insect Queen’s enhanced Spiritual Energy.
Despair filled everyone’s hearts; only Herman and a few others maintained their composure, shouting urgently, "Retreat unconditionally, save whoever can get away! We must protect Chucher... Rod!"
Suddenly he let out a sharp scream that startled everyone.
"What are you doing?"
The group turned their heads to see Rod not retreating but advancing, charging wildly towards the Insect Queen.
Rod had no ti to explain, pulling out the "Undying Spirit" from the Dream Realm and crushing it!
[Undying Spirit]: Upon use, one would not be killed by any ans until the duration ends, lasts thirty seconds.
This was a special creation from the Dream Realm, originating from the "River of Eternal Death," where only one could be made per entry.
Rod had caused a stir among a great many terrifying existences of the Dream Realm for it once before.
He had not planned to use it, having entered the "River of Eternal Death" a total of four tis, causing significant disturbances. He would not be able to approach it again for a long ti, or else it would provoke great horror.
So, this was sothing even more precious than Divinity, a non-renewable resource.
Rod had wanted to save it, but alas, he had not succeeded.
The mont Chucher fell, Rod knew.
Now, it was ti to use it!

It was a rare starry moonlit night when the pus-covered Giants temporarily stopped their onslaught.
The thick Black Fog also thinned a little, and Alan finally had the chance to return to the castle for so much-needed rest and recuperation.
Alan’s Guard Captain and trusted aide, Kaiso Nightwind, hesitated for a long ti before finally pushing open the door to the hall.
In the perfectly silent hall, the bright yellow Guardian Fire burned quietly.
Reserved exclusively for His Excellency the First Knight, only Special Level Combatants were accorded this privilege.
Beyond the light of the fire, the Knight Order’s Great Knight Captain, Trolian’s mightiest warrior, the human hero, the colossal pillar of the Fire Hall, Alan sat quietly on a long bench.
His eyes closed, his black hair fell quietly over his forehead. His face was lean and handso, with star-like eyes, thin lips, and a straight nose, giving him a gentle appearance. Yet even in sleep, the air of conquest and killing around his eyes diminished not the slightest bit.
Even at rest, Alan wore his full suit of armor, unique equipnt forged from Star Marrow, Source Material, and strong Spirits, now covered with damage.
His Great Sword and Large Shield lay to his left, his Saber to his right.
Kaiso suddenly felt a piercing heartache. Lord Alan had been fighting for so long, and though he finally had a decent length of ti to rest, he was still in a state of constant readiness for battle.
For a mont, he thought to leave, as if nothing had happened.
But Alan had already opened his eyes and asked warmly, "Kaiso, has sothing happened?"
Kaiso’s lips moved slightly. He wanted to say nothing was amiss, but his soul would not allow him to lie to Alan.
"News from the Trident River Region, they are nearing the Insect Queen, and the Space Waypoint is about to be activated. Please be prepared for battle," he said.
Alan exhibited a faint smile, picked up his sword and shield with one hand, and grasped his Saber with the other.
"That’s great."
He stood up, his matchless yet incredibly gentle and restrained Spiritual Energy flashed by.
"We can finally eradicate this disaster. The Insect Queen is far too dangerous for us. If it grows, even I would find it troubleso."
Kaiso’s emotions suddenly went out of control. He clearly saw that Alan’s Spiritual Energy showed instability and fissures. His strong and bright soul was no longer as stable as before.
"Why must it be you? What about the others? The other three Great Knight Captains? The seven Fire Sons? What are they doing? You’ve fought for so long, your soul has accumulated so much filth, and yet you still have to bear the burden of the Space Waypoint, fighting against such a dangerous Insect Queen. This... it’s just not fair..."
Smack.
A soft sound.
Alan had sohow co to stand by Kaiso’s side.
"Kaiso, every warrior is fighting with all they have, no exceptions, and I am no different," he said.
He gently patted his shoulder and smiled warmly.
"I am glad that I have such enduring combat strength, allowing to fight even more for the humans of Trolian."
With a hiss, Alan drew his Saber. The bright light instantly filled the hall, and he spoke softly.
"It is my greatest fortune in this life."
