Days passed in this manner, with Rod heading to the command center on the upper level of the Hall each day, optimizing battle deploynts with inspirations from the puppet, earning up to 6 points of Divinity and at least 1 point.
It might seem small, but it adds up to be quite substantial.
The Dream Realm also provided a fixed 1 point of Divinity weekly, which was directly credited to him, and currently Rod’s only source of Divinity.
In addition, Rod actively took on minor tasks to eliminate non-significant threats.
Even though the Divinity gained wasn’t much, ranging from 1 to 3 points, the upside was the short ti required, simplicity of the tasks, which could be wrapped up within a single day, and did not hinder his role as the human brain in the command center. He would also gain so extra Souls.
Moreover, the Book of Knowledge would always find the most suitable tasks for him based on the predictions of Star Square.
By now, Rod had reached unprecedented efficiency in acquiring Divinity, without taking up much of his ti.
He even had ti to undergo training with the old Sword Saint Galen, further mastering the use of "Chaotic State Spiritual Energy," and even began learning advanced techniques of "Soul Strike."
"Soul Strike" was when the spirit reached a state of intense concentration, delivering a blow with a conversion efficiency of Spiritual Energy that far exceeded one’s own limits.
It usually was several tis the conversion efficiency of the Chaotic State Spiritual Energy one could muster, and when combined with a burst of Spiritual Energy, it had an extraordinary power.
Since Rod began practicing it, his physical combat capabilities had significantly improved. When completing tasks, he could easily do so with purely physical combat without relying on other abilities.
The sword "Star Night" finally demonstrated its true value, its sharp blade unstoppable with the empowernt of formidable strength. Once formidable Fierce Level monsters could not withstand a single strike from him, and he was able to directly overpower ordinary Strong Monsters without resorting to other thods.
At that mont, Rod had truly beco a high rank combatant, a savior in tis of crisis, a ray of light in the darkness.
When he appeared, all difficulties would dissipate with the wind, all crises seem to resolve effortlessly, formidable monsters in people’s eyes were slain in the blink of an eye, soldiers and civilians trapped in desperation cheered and leaped for joy.
For the first ti, Rod’s na was widely spread throughout Trolian. Whenever they saw the young man clad in the robe of the Hall, sword in hand, they would shout.
"Thank you, Rod."
Internally within Fire Hall, due to Rod’s high frequency in combat, his uncorrupted and untainted soul, and astonishing endurance, "little Alan’s" renown was gradually transferring from Tai Luo to Rod.
The Defense Chiefs were eagerly anticipating to delve into Rod’s potential, to utilize his capabilities better, and the information about Rod was being updated almost daily in the Combat Departnt.
As it was widely known, besides his impressive endurance, he also possessed a surprising ability for strategic deploynt.
Now, whenever Rod visited the command center, it was packed with various Defense Chiefs and Commanders, all eager to witness his astonishing "strategic intuition."
Each ti Rod executed a correct strategic deploynt, exclamations and discussions surged one after another.
Galen even demanded that everyone write a "review" after observing, to ticulously ponder over every detail of Rod’s deploynts.
"Rod Deploynt" had now beco a proper noun, referring to the strategic deploynts made by Rod.
Studying "Rod Deploynts" had beco a trend within the Military War Departnt, and many scholars believed that "intuition" was in fact the instinctual response of the soul’s comprehensive factors, including a deep instinct which was just omitted due to high intelligence.
By studying "Rod Deploynts," one could acquire Rod’s wisdom and thereby issue better strategic commands.
To Rod, this theory seed entirely nonsensical, yet many people believed it unquestioningly.
To his astonishnt, they even managed to derive so results from their studies, resulting in a slight improvent in the level of various Defense Departnts.
The most direct proof was that he received 1 point of Divinity because of this.
Fine, point taken. You’re impressive.
While Rod was stirring up Trolian, the Black Battle Group was also growing.
Anna relieved the Soul Curse within her and had resud her training.
For so reason, her growth rate had increased considerably. What used to be arduous ditation was now incredibly smooth, she could clearly feel the growth of her Spiritual Energy, and the cultivation of her Characteristics was no longer filled with difficulty. She could feel the tracks within her soul expanding and extending.
She was rapidly becoming stronger.
Although still far from the normal Spirit woman’s pace, it was no longer the snail-like growth rate of the past.
Rod was pleased yet puzzled; after lifting the curse, it seed as though her seal had been broken, and Anna’s growth rate had finally reached that of a normal person.
But why hadn’t he noticed the Soul Curse within Anna’s soul before?
If he had seen it earlier and given Anna the Goddess’ Tears sooner, she would already be his by now.
What a pity.
On another front, phit had started taking the Ice Soul Trait Blocks, and one of her three Soul Traits began growing, causing her Soul Curse to shift, often maintaining her in the beautiful form with silver hair and silver eyes.
However, due to the growth of her Characteristics, her whole body always emanated cold.
It was a sign that the power was becoming uncontrollable.
Rod, however, was not truly heartless or recklessly bold. Before giving phit the Ice Soul Trait Blocks, he had inford Archbishop Horus.
