Rod interjected, "But it’s also very dangerous, Anna, besides using the spear to restrain the monsters, your main task is to look after her. Kashan’s physical strength isn’t enough, so unless it’s absolutely safe, do not get close to the monsters."
Anna nodded, "I understand."
Kashan clenched her fists, her cheeks reddening, but she didn’t retort because she knew that real combat was no joke and allowed no room for caprice. Her temper could flare at ho, but not on the battlefield.
Rod was pleased with Kashan’s response; the forr team leader was truly a good seedling.
He continued, "phit, just like before, your main task is to freeze the monsters. Do not approach the frontline; I can sense the danger here."
phit conveyed with her eyes that she had heard.
Afterward, Anna distributed combat supplies and potions to everyone and urged them not to lose this glowing stone, which was a guiding stone. If they happened to get lost, they could crush it, and a spot of light would lead them back to the base.
She exclaid, "The Spiritual Energy locator and the guiding stone are both very precious; our battle configurations are indeed high this ti. Following you is definitely the right choice."
Rod smiled, "Of course, one day you will be able to fight side by side with your sisters."
Anna’s eyes filled with joy, and she then dug out a red stone from the bottom of the box and handed it to Rod, "This is for you."
Rod examined it curiously, "What is this?"
"I don’t know, it was specifically left for you by Mr. Dalin, reportedly from the White Tower."
On hearing the na of the White Tower, Rod stored it away as it might be connected to the tracking of the Doomsday believers.
At that mont, the Spiritual Energy communicator lit up, and a red ssage appeared on the Spiritual Energy’s screen.
"All combatants, First Level battle preparation! Non-combatants must evacuate imdiately!"
"The battle at the Storm Pass has begun, the disturbance in Spiritual Energy has reached Fifteenth Level! It is predicted to extend over a thousand thousand yards. The White Tower has already detected anomalies in the Black Fog, and the Investigation Legion has successively found signs of instability in various places."
"Repeat, First Level battle preparation! All non-combatants still at the front line must evacuate imdiately!"
Everyone tensed up, with Anna holding the Fog Disc in her hand, her knuckles turning white.
But the Fog Disc was blank, showing nothing but their own bright spot.
Rod looked anxiously to the west, while ntally asking, "Book, have you heard of the Soul Devouring King?"
The Book of Knowledge answered, "No, perhaps my fragnted soul has forgotten it, or perhaps it is a monster born after the destruction of the Dream Realm. However, I heard from the chosen one of the Fire, that it’s a King Level Monster, and if it’s awakened, things could go badly."
Rod furrowed his brow, "Why?"
The Book of Knowledge said, "When Aphro was at the Fire Hall, she heard a lot of information about the Trolian humans. I and the mannequin inferred from so pieces of information that your current situation seems quite grim."
"In Troli, there are only eleven individuals with Commander-level combat power, and only one with Monarch-level power, who is the chosen one in resonance with the Holy Fire. He cannot leave the Holy Fire, aning he cannot act freely in conventional combat, which essentially ans he is not present."
"That ans, in terms of combat power that can act freely, there are only eleven."
Rod, sensing an unsettling feeling from the text of the Book of Knowledge, asked sowhat discontentedly.
"So what? The King himself is responsible for guarding the Holy Fire. We still have so many warriors, so many strong combatants."
The text of the Book of Knowledge grew heavier.
"Master, the situation is not as simple as you think. A King Level Monster is fundantally different from other levels of monsters. To defeat a King Level Monster, at least one high-ranking combatant is needed; otherwise, it is impossible to kill it."
"And Aphro and I deduced that at least four to five of those eleven are caught in significant trouble."
"Moreover, King Level Monsters exist to the north, east, and south of Troli, so of which are even in an active state. When they will strike is utterly unpredictable."
The Book of Knowledge paused for a few seconds, then continued writing.
"King Level Monsters are terrifying disasters, and if left unchecked, they can destroy a civilization, sothing that has happened more than once in history."
"Among these eleven people, so are currently confronting these extrely dangerous monsters, preventing them from approaching Trolian."
"Finally, so of them must be in a state of high alert, for the behavior of monsters is rely a fleeting glimr on the surface of the sea; their true nature is chaos and disorder, and any action is possible."
Rod frowned and said, "Are you suggesting that the Royal City cannot spare any more Special Level Combatants now?"
"Yes."
The Book of Knowledge gave a definite reply.
"Although your grading system is unusual, it is also excellent and effective. The resonating combat cluster you ntioned is probably the last bit of strength you can muster. Any King Level awakening in the west would bring catastrophic consequences for Trolian."
Rod ventured to ask, "Can I not just kill it, perhaps while it’s sleeping?"
The Book of Knowledge shook its head, "That is impossible. You should know that the reach of the Soul Hand of the Soul Altar is limited. The Soul Strike it provides is actually a two-way contact. If the power difference is too large, you will be the one killed by the monster. With your current Spiritual Power Strength, even with full burst capability, you would still be killed by a King Level Monster."
Rod’s heart sank. If even a "Soul Strike" couldn’t kill the monster, then it was out of his hunting range.
He couldn’t help but ask, "At what level would I be able to kill it?"
After thinking for a mont, the Book of Knowledge wrote, "Probably as a First Level Combatant. Your ranking system is really convenient... Of course, you would also need to invoke the Giant God Power and use a Soul Strike to boost your strength... However, this is only true in a sneak attack scenario and doesn’t an you have the ability to face it in direct combat."
Rod nodded slightly, "I understand."
The standard for a First Level Combatant was Eleventh Level Spiritual Energy and mastering the Field; he was still a bit far from that.
"What should I do now?"
The Book of Knowledge wrote, "Try to kill as many attacking monsters as possible to ensure that the legion is not disturbed. The quicker the war ends, the safer you will be."
"Moreover, the quicker the killing process, the better. I have seen so divinity in it, which proves it’s effective... The divinity you can gain from this campaign is substantial. You must do your utmost to acquire it as that will wholly rely on the next invasion."
Rod nodded, "I understand. What is the situation in the Dream Realm now?"
"The Obelisk has been completely repaired, and I am fixing the puppet. There’s not much soul and spirituality left, probably not enough, and there’s no Primordial Soil either."
Rod didn’t ask any further, as he had already spotted a monster approaching them.
A few seconds later, Anna’s Fog Disk also sensed its presence, and a massive black spot appeared on the Fog Disk.
"Here it cos! It’s a Strong High Rank!"
Anna scread.
"Eleventh Level Monster Spiritual Power Wave! The soul has Dark Vortex engravings, adorned with dark golden light, at least controlling one Source!"
Rod glanced at her, "You know all this so clearly?"
Anna glared at him, "Of course, I am a professional! Why are you saying this now? The monster is here! Prepare for combat!"
Rod smiled, "I know."
If this were before, he might have been very nervous, but for the current him, an Eleventh Level Spiritual Power Strong High Rank was not a difficult monster to handle.
Rod took a deep breath, his Spiritual Energy surged all over his body, a more controlled Tenth Level Human Spiritual Power Burst erged, coming forth like a hurricane, making it hard for Anna to breathe for a mont, and even Kashan felt a bit stifled.
Only phit appeared calm as usual.
"Let’s go!"
As his words fell, Rod had already disappeared.
