Rod recognized it in an instant, "It’s you, the Great Sect Leader of the Polluter Sect, Asa!"
"Hehehe, it is I, the King of Excrent, we et again."
Hall watched it warily, hands clasped together, ready to strike at any mont, "What is that thing?"
Rod’s face darkened beyond compare, "Twisted Spirit. It’s a force ford by the Book of Destiny in the Great Sect Leader’s hands. Like the Soul Devouring Worm, it can invade souls."
"Doomsday believers? How can Doomsday believers be here?"
Both Hall and Misole were filled with surprise in their eyes.
Rod said solemnly, "The recent disturbances by the Soul Devouring King, and all the accidents we’ve encountered along the way, most likely were all caused by it."
The Twisted Spirit twisted and contorted in the air, emitting a shrill laugh.
"Hahaha, you know quite a bit, worthy of the title, King of Excrent. But alas, there is no excrent here, you’re all dood!"
Rod’s heart was full of murderous intent, but his face remained calm as he said coolly, "Sorry, but your sches have failed. We are about to win. Once we return to the Royal City, you and your tattered book will face the Doomsday you’ve been longing for."
The laughter of the Twisted Spirit grew louder.
"Oh, is that so? Impractical fantasies, arrogance, weak yet confident, these are the characteristics of you fools. Look, what is this?"
The Twisted Spirit showed a bizarre light that dove into the fathomless darkness.
With that bit of light, they could see in the depths of the huge hall, a silent Thirsting Demonsoul.
Just as huge as before.
An eerie silence fell over the team.
The Twisted Spirit began to laugh loudly again, "How is it? Despairing yet? Shattering the hopes of you arrogant fools is my greatest pleasure."
Rod, unfazed and unexpectedly calm, said faintly, "Asa, stop wasting ti, what do you want?"
The Twisted Spirit said appreciatively, "Not bad, very clever. What I want is very simple, as you should know, Rod. Surrender your soul and its characteristics, and I’ll let you savor despair in this hopeless world a while longer."
Rod said coldly, "And if I say no?"
The Twisted Spirit laughed maniacally, "Without First Level Combatants, you wouldn’t want to encounter a fully-ford Thirsting Demonsoul, would you?"
Rod sneered, "Asa, have you been driven into a corner by the Judger units of the Internal Affairs Court? Hiding like drowning dogs, eating shit every day, you were eventually found by the White Tower, weren’t you? That’s why you’re so eager to trade with , right?"
The laughter of the Twisted Spirit disappeared, its voice turning extrely harsh.
"Nonsense! Those grey dogs can do nothing to . I am the great highest Heavenly God, the supre King of Darkness; nothing can stop . You’re all dead, all of you..."
Bang!
Misole suddenly landed a punch that burst it.
But Asa’s voice still echoed in the hall, "Naive. Did you think this would stop ?"
Boom!
The enormous Thirsting Demonsoul woke up. It rose and rapidly located the invaders, charging towards them.
Asa laughed maniacally, "You’re finished!"
But Misole smiled faintly.
"No."
She placed her hand on Rod’s shoulder, transferring the weakness in his soul into herself.
Soul transfer!
"We have won."
