"The Silver Clan?" Kashan’s blue eyes shimred with curiosity as she asked.
Rod replied, "They are the ancestors of humankind, known as the Silver Humans. They sought refuge under the giants yet were never content to submit to the Giant Throne, and often attempted to find freedom."
"But neither the Giant Clan nor the Silver Clan survived the great extinction of the Second Epoch, after which the Royal City beca an abandoned ghost town, until thousands of years later, our hero Trolian reignited the Holy Fire here, giving rise to us who ca after."
Kashan’s eyes sparkled with Bright Light as she softly said, "You know so much. I used to think you were just a bad student with no ambition."
Rod smiled and said, "Kashan, people change. When I realized that I was carrying the burden of humanity on my shoulders, I knew what I had to do."
Kashan clenched her fists: "Humanity will prevail!"
Rod paused for a mont, then shook his head, "Kashan, actually, we know that we might not necessarily win. Saying ’humanity will prevail, and the Holy Fire will burn for eternity,’ that’s just a slogan. Maybe the next mont, an incredibly powerful monster will jump out from the depths of the darkness, kill us all in an instant, extinguish the Holy Fire, and we’ll sleep forever in darkness, like all those humans and civilizations lost to the ruins."
"But."
He used a word to pivot his sentence.
"If we surrender just because hope is slim, then we deserve extinction. We may fail, but the spirit of humanity must never fail. We must keep fighting, keep battling, keep struggling until the very mont the fire is extinguished."
"That way, when we die in battle, we won’t have regrets over a wasted life or feel sha for squandering our years. We can say to our ancestors with a clear conscience that we did our best."
"Humanity never surrenders."
Kashan’s blue eyes were complex with emotion, touched and fired up. She bit her lip and whispered, "You’re always so amazing. I can’t compare with you."
Rod patted her head, smiling, "Of course I’m amazing, but you’re not necessarily any less. You have the Spark of Fury, which ans anything is possible. The great scholar Delan told that it’s a Spark capable of miracles, whose potential is unimaginable. I believe you’ll be able to control it one day."
He gently took Kashan’s hand.
"Just like how you’re holding my hand right now."
In the dark, Rod clearly saw Kashan’s entire face turn red.
"Really?"
She asked softly.
"Rod, do you think I’m... good?"
Rod nodded, "Very good."
Kashan’s face almost smoked with blush: "But I’m not tall."
"I think you’re very tall."
"And, and nothing else is big either."
"I think it’s very big."
"My Combat Level isn’t strong either..."
"It will be strong in the future."
Kashan looked at Rod, her eyes almost brimming with tears, "Do you really think so?"
Rod didn’t answer imdiately; they walked a few steps when suddenly, there was a bright light.
It turned out to be several lanterns hanging on both sides of the tunnel.
In front of them was an enormous door, made of an unknown steel material with a strange luster flowing across its surface.
Strange waves of Spiritual Power warned Rod that the Sealing in front was rejecting his approach.
That was the real reason the Royal City was troubled.
If a person with a Spiritual Power Level exceeding the tenth level approached, the Sealing would be destroyed along with the tunnel.
If the tunnel was damaged, digging through would beco extrely problematic; Dead Ash Mountain Range was created by a God, its underlying land was Spiritualized, regarded as a whole, making excavation exceedingly difficult.
If they couldn’t correctly pass through this Sealing Gate, then it would be difficult for them to reach Starry Sky City within the scheduled ti.
Rod stopped in front of the Sealing, calmly asking, "Kashan, can you break through this door?"
Curiously, Kashan went up for a closer look. Not feeling anything unusual, she asked in surprise, "What is this?"
Rod replied, "This is a Sealing Gate set up by the Silver Clan. They were probably afraid that others would steal their achievents, so they erected this steel door and used the sealing to ensure it couldn’t be opened by outsiders. It’s likely the Silver Clan had so individuals with low innate Spiritual Power Levels but with unbelievably great strength."
Surprised, Kashan asked, "Can I open it?"
Rod replied, "Of course, otherwise I wouldn’t be here."
Kashan was stunned for a mont, then her face quickly flushed red.
"You, you an to say, you’ve been accompanying these past few days just so I would open this door?"
"Yes."
Kashan’s forehead also reddened as the tears in her blue eyes began to shine, "But, but you said I was tall..."
"No, you can’t even reach my shoulders, no one is shorter than you."
"You, you said I was big..."

The Fire of Fury released a powerful aura of vitality, enveloping her.
From afar, the great scholar Delan and Archbishop Horus watched her condition intently, communicating with Rod through Spiritual Energy, saying, "No, it’s still not enough..."
