Rod nodded in satisfaction, "Good, I’ll leave him in your care."
The Book of Knowledge replied proudly, "Rest assured, Master!"
With a flash of white light, the restriction of the Crystal Wall was lifted.
Asa’s soul soared into the air, laughing wildly, "Hahaha, I am free again! The collapse of Trolian begins at this very mont."
Rod glanced at him coldly and said, "Asa, don’t get too ahead of yourself, or you will regret it."
Asa ignored him and flew into the House of God for the first ti, yanking the Book of the Future from the shelf.
"You damned book, it’s ti to pay back what you owe!"
The Book of the Future, having been soundly asleep, opened its eyes to see Asa and instantly beca furious.
"You idiot with a head full of shit, you’ve got the nerve to show your face before ! It was your stupidity that squandered such an advantage, causing to lose my Destiny Soul Core, my Root Spirituality! Now I have nothing! I’ve lost the ability to manipulate fate, lost the ability to influence reality, I’ve beco a eunuch book, only able to be seen but not touched!"
"This is all your fault!"
The two, disagreeing, started to scuffle again.
But now they were both powerless, and their fighting was no different from children playing house.
Rod hesitated before asking, "Book, they won’t hurt each other like this, right?"
The Book of Knowledge fanned its pages disdainfully, saying, "Two idiots, let them fight. They could do it for ten thousand years and still not produce a winner."
Rod nodded and asked again, "Book, how’s the repair of the puppet going?"
With the personnel in the Dream Realm growing complex and the Book of Knowledge being unreliable, he began to miss the puppet Aphro dearly.
"The damage has been basically fixed, only missing Primordial Soil."
Rod sighed inwardly and was about to ask another question when suddenly the Dream Realm darkened, and a strong red light burst from the Obelisk.
An invasion!
Rod snapped back to reality in an instant.
The invasion has arrived!
After defeating the Dark Stars, the long-awaited invasion had finally co.
The red light quickly receded like a tide, and Rod looked up to see on the prediction side of the Obelisk, lines of blood andering downwards, forming several rows of text.
Invasion!
Invasion!
Invasion!
Erosion has begun, and after fifty-one sunsets, the Soul Devouring King will arrive.
——
What?
Rod read the ssage several tis before confirming it referred to the Soul Devouring King.
But wasn’t it sealed in the Soul Devouring King’s Castle?
I had just reinforced the sealing; how could it erge to invade the Dream Realm?
Rod imdiately turned his gaze towards the Book of Knowledge, but it suddenly jumped up, as if it had a sudden revelation.
"Master, I understand now! No wonder the seal on the Soul Devouring King had no Divinity! It turns out it had long been disturbed by the source feedback of the Black Fog and was about to invade the Dream Realm!"
Rod was taken aback.
"Book, are you saying the Soul Devouring King is unaffected by the sealing? That we sealed it in vain?"
"Of course not."
The Book of Knowledge quickly denied, "Dream Invasions are activities of a higher order, barely related to the lower-level conventional sense of ti and space. It’s all about Position, and even within the sealing, it could complete the invasion through the Black Fog!"
"When I spoke of the depths of darkness earlier, I ant being closer to the darkness in Position. The Soul Devouring King is such a powerful creature dwelling deep within darkness. It is because it’s about to invade the Dream Realm that everything about it is not accounted for regarding Divinity."
The Book of Knowledge flapped its pages frantically, betraying its nervousness.
"Master, this is a King Level Monster, and we are facing an unprecedented challenge! It exists on a different level than the Dark Stars! Even without Nightmare Night, its power far surpasses the last invasion!"
"Our first choice was the correct one! If we did not go to seal it, it would beco even more powerful, and we would be in deep trouble!"
"Master, we must have more Divinity, we must urgently repair the Divine Mirror, fix Aphro, resurrect the Evil Ghost King, and find the Dream Fragnt. Only a stronger Dream Realm can withstand this invasion!"
Rod’s heart sank.
He rembered the terror of the Soul Devouring King’s Castle, where the re presence of the powerful creature had caused a Domain Well effect in space, making the whole area seem to collapse into that point, as if ti and space had been twisted.
Near the Soul Devouring King’s Castle, all were powerful monsters born from its Characteristic. The countless Thirsty Demon Spirits even devoured the life of a First Level Combatant.
When they fought in the castle, they were cursed by the Soul Devouring King periodically, and if it weren’t for Misole’s curse-breaking, they would soon die of soul exhaustion.
That was the most morable battle to Rod.
He still rembers every detail of Lily’s death.
Although he did not fight directly, there was no question about the Soul Devouring King’s strength; it was a much more formidable being than the Dark Stars.
Rod felt a trace of anxiety. There were not many places in Trolian to obtain Divinity, and the only place that had it was out of reach. Without Divinity, he could not grow any stronger, always half a step from reaching the First Level Combatant.
Nor was there any sign of Primordial Soil.
The only good news was that the Dark Dragon had been thrown off their trail, and the Dream Bubble was now nearing the Dream Fragnt within the Light Country.
Rod could only hope that this Dream Fragnt would bring him enough changes.
——
One day later, with Rod’s full Acceleration, the Dream Realm finally neared the target point.
