Rod had not yet spoken when Ando’s angry gaze swept over.
"Fei Xue, you could have spoken these words in private, not in such a serious and solemn setting," he said.
Fei Xue stuck out her little tongue.
"What if he had taken it seriously in private?" she asked.
Ando’s entire face visibly reddened like a stead orange.
"Punishnt!"
he roared.
"Severe punishnt! You are forbidden from visiting the Holy White Tree and the botanical garden for a month! You can’t drink a drop of water from Pure Blue Lake until I see so real change in you!"
Fei Xue’s little face scrunched up, and she muttered softly, "Grandpa Ando, isn’t that a bit too harsh? How about just one day?"
Ando snorted heavily through his nostrils.
"Shut your mouth, you have no room to negotiate."
Still fuming, he led Rod and the others away.
Rod glanced at her sympathetically, only to catch her making a silly face at him secretly.
This girl... she’s just a child, Rod thought.
Yet, she had already beco a Guardian at such a young age, a truly gifted talent.
The next person was a middle-aged man with an erect posture.
He was not wearing a Guardian Robe but was bare-chested, showing off his muscular torso with the Fire Crown tattooed on his neck, wearing only a pair of shorts, with clean-shaven legs and a long sword strapped to his back.
"Gale from Cloud Village," Ando’s tone still sowhat stiff.
"He is an old Guardian, having completed the ascension ceremony ten years ago. His experience is vast, his mind agile, and he is very resourceful. You should all learn from him."
Gale nodded quietly to them, his deanor calm, bordering on aloof.
"Hello, shining new stars, I am Guardian Gale. My Soul Trait is Moon Phantom, and my level is nine. This Trait is influenced by the heavenly conditions. It is most potent during the Moon Attribute heavenly phenonon. If you need to collaborate in combat, it’s best to seek out during this ti," he explained.
He paused, then continued.
"I excel at front-line and mid-line combat, resembling an assassin in combat style. I need a big and strong partner to fully unleash my power."
After evaluating them for a mont, his gaze settled on Jessica.
"You are quite impressive," he comnted.
Jessica pursed her lips in a smile, "Thank you, I’ll be that big and strong partner."
Gale gave a slight nod, then vanished like a phantom.
Rod touched his forehead and whispered to Tai Luo, "Why do I feel like he’s a bit unreliable?"
Tai Luo answered seriously, "Brother Rod, Sir Gale is one of the few n in Trolian who holds the title of Sword Saint, known as the incessant Gale Sword Saint."
Rod exclaid, "Is he that formidable? How many more Sword Saints do we have?"
"Old Sword Saint Galen, First Knight Sir Aran, the golden shining Valkyrie Teresa, and I, who am making a bid for the title of Sword Saint," Tai Luo replied.
Rod was even more surprised, "Teresa? She has the title of Sword Saint? She hasn’t beco a First Level Combatant yet, has she?"
Tai Luo coughed, "Her situation is special. Although she possesses the combat power of a First Level Combatant, she is unable to beco a Guardian."
"Special situation?"
"Yes," Tai Luo said solemnly. "There are many First Level Combatants, but not everyone can beco a Guardian. The primary requirent for a Guardian must be a Fire Holder, aning belonging to either the Starfire Series or the Spirit Fire Series."
Rod furrowed his brow, vaguely rembering that there were not just two series, and Fire Holders were not the only warriors with a Characteristic, nor was igniting the Soul Fire the only way to surpass the Spiritual Energy threshold.
"Are you saying Teresa isn’t a Fire Holder?"
Tai Luo slowly shook his head.
"She is a White Spirit Inheritor, belonging to the White Spirit Series. It is a secret, but you now have the clearance to know," he revealed.
Rod’s frown deepened, astonished that Teresa, whom he once saw as a sisterly figure, was not a Fire Holder.
"White Spirit Inheritor... What is that? I can’t seem to recall..."
Tai Luo’s expression turned solemn, and he answered in a deep voice, "A Spirit Bearer is one who harbors the soul. They cannot ignite the Soul Fire but can gain power through other souls’ fragnts with Characteristics. ’White’ represents resonance. White Spirit Inheritors gain power through Soul Resonance, a relatively safe thod, but finding a proper resonance match is challenging. During intense battles or severe injuries, the synchronization might drop, which can affect strength or even cause loss of control."
"But Teresa has never had such an accident. Her Spirit Trait is Acceleration, a simple Trait that she has brilliantly manifested. She possesses innate combat Intuition and unparalleled fighting talent. Under the effects of Acceleration, she appears like a Valkyrie born on the battlefield. Tai Luo paused, glanced at First Elder Ando, who remained motionless, knowing that he could continue.

After a few seconds of silence, Rod asked, "How many First Level Combatants do we have?"
