Boom!

Rod slashed down with his sword and the trendous force collided with the Phantom’s sword, producing an explosion-like sound.

A huge circular shockwave spread out, sending the Phantom flying, its long sword slipping from its grasp and disappearing into thin air.

Only then did Rod realize he was still in the states of "Soul Burning" and "Giant God Power."

Clearly, it was because his external body had yet to exit these states.

Hahaha!

Ecstasy surged through Rod’s heart.

What luck!

This battle, I’m bound to win!

With a tap of his toe, Rod’s massive strength instantly propelled him forward, launching a fierce pursuit of the Phantom.

Under the enhancent of great Spiritual Power, Rod completely dominated, beating the Phantom so ruthlessly that it could rely attempt to flee in disgrace.

Rod had never felt such powerful states before. Usually, he could only maintain "Giant God Power" for the duration of one strike, at most two seconds.

And now, "Giant God Power" could apparently persist indefinitely.

This overwhelming Spiritual Power was entirely under his control; even a normal strike beca imnsely powerful with such strong Spiritual Power enhancent.

However, after a fierce onslaught for a mont, Rod suddenly realized that although the Phantom appeared ragged, it seed not to have suffered fatal injuries.

Moreover, it was gradually solidifying.

Rod knew this was bad and launched his full force in attack.

But now the Phantom had grown significantly stronger. Unless it was close combat, most of Rod’s ranged attacks couldn’t reach it.

In close combat, it would flee, and even though Rod’s Spiritual Power was much stronger, the Phantom’s skills were too formidable. It couldn’t completely dodge, but it would avoid being hit in critical areas as much as possible.

Although the Phantom had no vital points, it still retained human combat habits, dodging potentially fatal injuries as much as possible and looking for opportunities to counterattack.

The more Rod fought, the more alard he beca. He had gradually started to feel sothing was off. Even under the dual super enhancents of "Soul Burning" and "Giant God Power," he couldn’t kill the Phantom.

And the Phantom was growing stronger.

Dong!

Eventually, the Phantom reclaid its sword and for the first ti successfully blocked Rod’s attack head-on.

At this mont, it had almost reached a translucent state; its deep blue armor had a dreamy light blue hue, its large cloak fluttering behind it, the burning Fighting Star emblem was incredibly realistic.

A sinking feeling in his heart, Rod knew the situation was grave.

Indeed, the battle beca increasingly unfavorable; from rely parrying, the Phantom slowly began to occasionally counterstrike and then shifted to taking the offensive.

Eventually, Rod was left only parrying.

Rod could hardly believe it; he had never been on the back foot while boosted by these powers, but this opponent was unlike any monster he had encountered before.

His combat skills were exceedingly superior, and his manipulation of power and the sword reached an unimaginably high level. In pure hand-to-hand combat, Rod was completely outmatched.

Even using Star Power had no effect. Infinite Spiritual Power Multiple lodies were impractical in such tight combat, "Giant God Power," and "Soul Burning" had been used, and summoning Wind’s Phantom only got it killed instantly, adding only a burden.

Rod couldn’t use any other thods since this was a Spiritual Space, where no physical matter could be brought in.

After fighting a while longer, Rod felt he soon wouldn’t even have the power to parry.

This mighty Knight Captain had reached a seventy percent state, nearly indistinguishable from a real person - his appearance was rough and imposing, clad in exquisite and opulent armor, his large cloak fluttering behind him, resounding loudly, making him look trendously formidable.

What’s more astonishing was his movents, concise, efficient, swift, and lethal.

Even under the enhancent of "Giant God Power," Rod’s Absolute Spiritual Power was still superior, but he could no longer launch effective attacks; the Knight Captain easily predicted his moves and launched deadly counterattacks.

Thus far, this Phantom used no special characteristics. Serving as one of the Starry Kingdom’s strongest knight orders, its captain rely employed lee combat abilities to completely suppress Rod.

Soon, as the resonance further deepened, the Phantom’s Spiritual Power Strength also surpassed his, making the battle even more difficult.

In his mind, the doll shouted, "Master, this enemy is extrely powerful; in his era, he must have been among the top élite. Even dealing with his past echoes is this challenging!"

"Is there any way?" Rod asked urgently, as he was completely unable to hold on any longer and could only flee desperately.

"Find his weakness!"

"How do I find it?"

"Recall the information about him that you saw in the Book of the Past. You will surely find sothing."

Seen in the Book of the Past?

Rod reflected quickly as he ran wildly.

What did I see?

The Fighting Star Knight Order was appointed in the presence of the Queen at the plaza, achieving countless consecutive victories, regarded as heroes by the civilians.

The Royal City was in peril; the Fighting Star Knight Order returned to defend it. What followed was their annihilation with a single strike by so indescribable entity.

In this series of events, could he discern any weaknesses of the Knight Captain?

His regret, his remorse, his despair?

Rod glanced at the phantom before him. His face was expressionless, his deanor wooden, and his brown eyes devoid of any emotion. Despite this, the overpowering aura that enveloped him still made him feel like a living person.

The resonance of the phantom was almost indistinguishable from reality, fitting nearly perfectly with the traces of the past. He was almost exactly like the Knight Captain from a thousand years ago.

The next mont, a flash of Spiritual Light crossed Rod’s mind.

But imdiately, he was stunned by this absurd idea, not knowing how he had co up with it.

Despite this, Rod decided to give it a try.

"Aphro, I rember, my Wind’s Phantom can change its appearance, right?"

The puppet quickly answered, "Yes, but its combat strength will not change."

Rod nodded slightly, "I got it."

He quickly summoned the Wind’s Phantom, but did not control it to move forward for battle. He rely changed its appearance to the most beautiful woman he rembered.

phit, in her silver-haired and silver-eyed state.

In an instant, a silver-haired beauty appeared beside Rod.

Bang!

A fierce attack, which Rod barely blocked.

But he keenly noticed a mont of hesitation in the Knight Captain’s phantom.

Could it actually work?

Rod imdiately erased phit’s image and replaced it with the most stunning one he had ever seen.

The Moon Knight, Olivia’s bathing scene.

Not just the face, Rod flawlessly replicated her entire figure, not missing a single detail.

After all, he had observed this image the most.

When this female knight, taller than Rod by half, with an explosive figure and every line filled with strength and beauty, appeared before him, the entire phantom stopped.

Its eyes no longer looked wooden but glead with a strange light, its head unconsciously turning towards the phantom.

Yet a strong force restrained it, making it turn its head back.

It spoke, uttering a phrase Rod had heard before.

"Lady, you are so beautiful... may I have a date with you tonight? My ho has a clover that squirts water."

The voice was distorted and malford, filled with unreasonable noise. Yet, beneath this noise, there was an almost inaudible whisper.

"My weakness lies under my ribs."

Rod sharply caught it, imdiately leapt forward, and thrust his sword under the ribs, piercing through to the other side.

The phantom imdiately fell, its body beginning to crumble, a strange force peeling away from it.

It gradually beca transparent, but its expression turned from wooden to gentle, as if possessed by a spirit from the past again.

"It’s the successor, huh..."

Its voice was ethereal and hollow, as if from a very high place, about to fade away and disappear.

"Humanity has not perished, that’s good, that’s good, that’s good..."

Rolling tears fell from the phantom’s face, its voice gradually fading along with its body.

At that mont, Rod felt as if sothing was different.

Two streaks of golden light flashed across his eyes.

Flower of Humanity 5

Blessing of the Past’s Ghost

Rod had not even reacted before a dazzling golden light enveloped him.

The next mont, he was back in Death’s Trace Canyon, his right hand violently withdrawn. As the latter half lost the guidance of will, the arm whipped out like a whip, striking himself.

Bang!

A sound as if from the void thudded.

The entire pile of corpses imdiately collapsed, countless corpses tumbling down and rapidly decaying.

A decayed disc fell to the ground, shattering into fragnts.

Three streaks of golden light flashed across Rod’s eyes again.

1.5 billion Souls Without Spirit.

Soul Firewoods.
