Rod’s bones snapped with a sound, blood spurted out, and his body was kneaded into a ball like clay, organs squeezed out, bones crushed.
But in the next second, Rod returned to his original state.
The Undying Spirit refreshed every second, resurrecting Rod from death again.
But the terrifying gravity instantly killed him again, organs and flesh squeezed into a lump, drowned in overflowing blood, gravity quickly settling impurities from the blood, making it exceptionally clear.
Liquids are harder to compress than solids, but the Main Star Priest’s gravity was extrely strong, causing the blood to gradually compress under the weight and turn back into a solid, like a sparkling ruby, sealing the twisted mass of bones and organs.
Yet in the next second, as if it were an illusion, Rod was reborn once more.
In the instant gravity recaptured and killed him, he shouted.
"The Fighting Star Knight Order is utterly destroyed!"
"The Black Fog Demon splits the earth with one strike!"
"Eric was fatally wounded, and none of the Fighting Star Knight Order survived!"
Rod took twenty-five seconds to complete these three sentences.
In the last five seconds.
Rod gathered all his strength and yelled, "Starry Sky City fell long ago, the Starry Kingdom is extinct!"
Boom!
A long wailing sound, like the foghorn of an ocean liner.
The Gravity Field dissipated accordingly.
Space returned to calm.
The power of the Main Star Priest was all dissipating, his body turning into flecks of ash, scattering into the air.
"The Starry Kingdom, perished?"
Rod answered word by word, "The Starry Kingdom has been extinct for fifteen hundred years."
The horrifying aura of the Main Star Priest was completely gone, replaced by a kind of despairing tranquility, his soul no longer mad and chaotic, yet it continued to dissipate.
"Fifteen hundred years..."
The Main Star Priest murmured, his voice no longer distorted, without eerie noise, just like an ordinary person.
He glanced around, his hollow eye sockets seemingly seeing the current scene of Starry Sky City.
So desolate, bleak, silent, everywhere filled with ruined buildings, monsters wandering aimlessly in the rubble.
A large piece of rotten flesh peeled off his face, scattering into the air and turning into powder.
He wanted to cover his face, but seeing his withered hands, he felt helpless.
From his eye sockets, there were no tears, only black decay, drifting away with the wind.
"...Everything we protected has turned to dust."
"Our hope, in the face of true Black Fog and bizarre existence, is insignificant."
The Main Star Priest wanted to turn his head, but his neck had already shattered and scattered, his body coming apart.
"Who are you?"
Rod quickly replied, "We co from Trolian, seeking the Holy Fire Seed of Starry Sky City."
Even though the Main Star Priest’s face had crumbled, Rod could feel the complex emotions within him.
"Is—is that so? We are perished, but humanity endures!"
"The fire hasn’t extinguished, we haven’t lost yet!"
The Main Star Priest’s tone suddenly beca urgent.
"Successors, I don’t have much ti left, the power of the Source Star is nearly exhausted, Her Majesty the Queen used up the last of the Star Source... none among you is a Monarch... you may face unprecedented trials..."
Rod asked urgently, "Can you assist us?"
"No, no, I am an existence not tolerated by the world. The mont I regain sanity, I’m destined to dissipate... I will use my last strength to grant you the blessing of the stars, may your fire be passed on eternally, to restore humanity’s glory."
The Main Star Priest raised his Magic Wand, and at that instant, endless starlight fell from the sky, attaching to everyone.
Rod was wrapped in starlight even more.
"Successors, please rember, there once was a Human Kingdom here, nad Starry, filled with brave warriors who fought for humanity."
As his words fell, the Main Star Priest turned into ashes, completely dissipating into the air.
With a clang, his Magic Wand fell to the ground.
The robe drifted down from the air, and as if it had lost its owner, it shattered into countless fragnts, fluttering and falling down.
Like flowers scattered before a tombstone.
