Rod was startled; the voice ca from sowhere unknown, but it was clearly the voice of the Starry Queen.
Her spirit has dissipated, so how could she speak?
Most importantly, the phrase "Is that you?" almost completely confird that the Starry Queen recognized the previous Master of Dreams.
At the very least, she was aware of the Dream Realm’s existence.
How should I respond?
Ti began to pass, yet still very slowly. That sense of transcending ti vanished from Rod, and he couldn’t utter a complete sound, only attempt to reply within his mind.
"Are you the Starry Queen? What do you an?"
There was no answer, and the voice seed to disappear.
After a mont, just as Rod almost thought it was an illusion, a soft sigh reached his ears — imnse loss, lancholy, and sadness, as if icy water chilling to the core.
"I’m sorry, I mistook you. I know... I knew that Heigao’er couldn’t have survived, the Dream Realm shattered, the Source Soul Body torn apart, nothing could save him, he couldn’t reincarnate..."
The voice by his ear blurred at a certain word, turning the syllable into "Dream Realm," while other syllables remained unchanged.
Rod felt a chill in his heart, realizing so invisible force was helping him mask the existence of the Dream Realm.
And the Queen’s words clearly indicated her deep connection with the Dream Realm.
"This, Your Majesty the Queen."
Rod cautiously asked.
"The Heigao’er you ntioned, is he the Northern Prince Heigao’er?"
Heigao’er was the previous Master of Dreams. When Rod first entered the Dream Realm, Heigao’er’s frenzied soul was attacking the Obelisk and then turned around to attack Rod, only to be killed by a divine blade.
His soul then automatically flew into the Dark Devourer, directly elevating this Initial Star to a stable state.
Perhaps for that reason, the Soul Strength provided by the Dark Devourer was pathetically low; even with quantification, it only amounted to thousands, though it did provide 6 units of Source Energy.
Rod knew little about Heigao’er; most of the mories from the Book of Knowledge and the doll were lost; he only knew Heigao’er was active during the Fire Epoch, but didn’t know why he perished.
If he could learn about him from the mouth of the Starry Queen, it would undoubtedly greatly assist Rod on his future path.
"It is him."
The voice by his ear beca very gentle, a warm and soft voice suppressing the sorrow and loss.
"New Master of Dreams, can you tell his fate?"
Rod hesitated for a mont but eventually recounted the whole story, only omitting the fact of his madness.
After listening, the voice by his ear was silent for a mont and then softly sighed, "I see, his soul finally returned to the Primary Star, igniting a light for the next Master of Dreams, his spirit should find peace now."
Rod solemnly replied, "In the paradise of fire, his spirit sleeps like an infant, his worries disperse like a breeze, his pain vanishes like snow, until the end of ti."
The voice had a trace of choking.
"Thank, thank you, you are truly a good person..."
If one only heard the voice, Rod would never have guessed she was the majestic and powerful Starry Queen, but rather, a petite girl.
"This, Your Majesty the Queen, can you tell how you ca to know him?"
The voice softly said, "New Master of Dreams, it seems you have encountered great difficulties and lost many mories, can you tell , how much do you know about the past?"
Rod replied sowhat embarrassed, "I know almost nothing, not even what happened during the Fire Epoch."
The voice was silent for a mont before softly saying, "When I first t Heigao’er, it was during the fall of the City of Hope."
