Rod imdiately bowed in return.
"Hello, Your Excellency Amides. I am not yet a great Fire Son, so please just call by my na."
Amides is a highly respected scholar in the Royal City, whose knowledge has solved many problems for Trolian, and he has had extensive interactions with Rod, earning his deep respect.
Amides smiled and said, "Lord Rod, your achievents are so dazzling that they greatly inspire those of us trapped in dark predicants. The knowledge you’ve imparted has greatly enlightened us. Even the esteed scholar Ward has installed a steam engine invented based on your theory in his latest chanical body."
Rod nearly spat out his drink.
"A steam engine? What use is that thing?"
Mina quickly answered, "It’s an excellent power core. By heating steam to create high pressure and then using a hydraulic arm, it can provide over 100,000 tons of thrust, much more effective than a spiritual energy core."
"100,000 tons?"
Rod was truly shocked.
Can a steam engine do that? What have you modified? I rely provided so basic knowledge.
"Exactly!"
Mina proudly puffed out her chest, her tall beige knitted sweater nearly brushing against him.
Evidently, she played a role in the creation of this monstrous steam engine.
"I created a steam boiler using Star Marrow, used Sun Crystal as a heat source, True Silver as a piston, and Star Light Ruby solution as a lubricant. As long as enough spiritual energy is provided to raise the boiler temperature sufficiently, the seemingly harmless steam can lift a chanical body weighing 100,000 tons."
"This is truly amazing. We never considered this approach, it indeed represents a miraculous idea!"
Rod looked at her speechlessly, thinking that normally, steam engines with such thrust would face countless issues with pistons, the boiler, crankshafts, and seals, unable to withstand such pressure and high temperature.
However, she solved these issues with rare spiritual materials.
This was an avenue he had never considered.
"Is it practical?"
With her face filled with unabated joy and pride, Mina answered, "It’s extrely practical! It consus much less spiritual energy than a pure spiritual energy structure, and the strength of the pure chanical structure has increased by at least 50%, saving lots of precious spiritual materials!"
"This is a groundbreaking invention! According to the evaluation by the chanical Research Institute, the combat power of this chanical body is already close to a high-rank combatant, though it’s not very agile, the combat thod is singular, and requires human assistance."
She chattered on until interrupted by her teacher.
"Alright, Mina, although the 59th chanical body is excellent, it still faces issues with high costs and consumption. It requires much improvent before mass production. Our main purpose in coming to Starry Sky City is not for it."
Mina protested, "Teacher, it is one of our secondary purposes. Maybe so ancient technology left in Starry Sky City could help improve the 59th chanical body, and we might find so inspiration."
She turned her head, looking at Rod with sparkling eyes.
"I firmly believe this is the path to human salvation. Flesh is too fragile; only machinery and steel can defeat terrifying monsters and usher us into the dawn of fire."
The aning in her eyes couldn’t be clearer.
Rod wasn’t very convinced by her belief, but looking at her towering beige knitted sweater nearly touching his face, he could only reluctantly say, "That’s right, Sister Mina."
"Yay!"
Mina imdiately lunged and hugged him tightly.
"I knew little Rod would agree with ! We are kindred spirits!"
Rod scratched his head, feeling a little embarrassed, "Right, right, very big and soft... uh, I an, our path is correct, um, the teacher is still watching."
Reluctantly, Mina let go of him and stood aside.
Amides gave them a aningful glance before continuing as if nothing had happened, "Lord Rod, your knowledge has brought us significant changes and ford a system in our understanding of this world."
"With this system, our research is no longer scattered and our exploration is no longer aimless. Many scholars therefore believe you are the reincarnation of the All-Knowing God... Given your extraordinarily brilliant achievents, they are quite certain of this assumption."
Rod gave a dry laugh, as his conscience would not allow him to accept undeserved honors, explaining, "No, no, I rely possess superhuman wisdom, not a reincarnation of any god."
Amides smiled slightly and continued, "You’ve brought a world of change to countless scholars in the Royal City. Through your system, we’ve made significant progress, creating many new inventions. I believe in the near future, they will surely bring us unexpected surprises."
Rod felt imnse joy in his heart; the seeds he planted had finally taken root and sprouted, and this would surely bring him endless divinity.
"Your Excellency Amides, are you here this ti to explore Starry Sky City?"
Amides nodded slightly.
"Lord Rod, you once told us that part of your knowledge was obtained in Star Town, so we are here hoping to find more knowledge in Starry Sky City to further perfect this system."
