"Yes, it is a creation of miracles, and its usage is extrely profound," the Book of Knowledge said proudly. "Only I fully understand how to use it, that fool Aphro has no idea."
"Can I just use one on myself to ensure victory in battle?"
The Book of Knowledge shook its pages, "Master, that won’t work, the criteria are very complex. If you’re interested, I will teach you slowly later."
For the first ti, Rod realized how reliable the Book of Knowledge was, and couldn’t help but praise, "As expected of the Dream Realm’s first servant, truly reliable."
Upon hearing this, the Book of Knowledge laughed so much that its seams almost split.
For a period afterward, it followed Rod around like a husky, darting here and there.
Due to blasting a lot of Black Fog Symbionts recently and even snagging a Mysterious Shadow—though not enough to gain so souls—he did collect nightmare fuel.
He has now accumulated a total of 310 units of nightmare fuel, and it takes 75 units of nightmare fuel to create one Colorful Dream.
To be safe, Rod poured 300 units of nightmare fuel into the Dream Factory, and through the refining of the heart-like furnace, 4 units of Colorful Dreams were quickly produced.
Seeing the chaos smoke radiating vibrant light, the Book of Knowledge was very pleased.
"Great, these 4 units of Colorful Dreams are our trump card in adverse battles. I will use them to turn the tide, but I will not use them lightly, as they are very precious. I will handle them carefully."
Rod nodded, handing all 4 Colorful Dreams over to it.
Afterward, Rod began creating "Strong Soul Ashes," investing the Dark Stars souls he obtained last ti, at the cost of 10 Flowers of Humanity and 10 points of Divinity, crafting a batch of "Dark Star Soul Ashes."
Although Dark Stars is a powerful Black Fog Symbiont, soul ashes cannot fully control it. Yet, here in the Dream Realm, the Dark Stars deprived of Source cannot stir up a storm.
After holding onto this "Soul Ashes," Rod went to check on the Evil Ghost King.
Its condition was excellent; its Spiritual Power Level was only Eleventh Level, but its physical strength was terrifying. Having gained the residual soul of the Great Star Priest, it vaguely mastered part of the Star’s laws, with star patterns continually appearing on its body, increasing its defensive power and granting it short-range teleportation and gravity field control abilities.
Lastly, there was Aphro.
As the battle servant of the Dream Realm, it had been training combat skills in an open area during this ti, but due to missing mories, progress was limited.
Its combat power requires divinity to be exhibited.
"Aphro, how much divinity can you accommodate now?" Rod asked with concern. During the last invasion war, its transformation displayed impressive power.
The puppet stopped training and calmly replied, "Master, I can now accommodate 25 points of divinity."
Rod was amazed, "How did it increase so much?"
The puppet raised its arm, which appeared as if made of rusty brass, resembling a doll discarded in a junkyard.
"Master, the imperfections in my soul make my body rusty and obstructed, unable to store divinity, but part of the body is functional, just sectioned off by rust. My training during this ti is to restore that part of the body."
It paused, and a glimr flashed in its murky eyes.
"So far, the results are effective."
Rod felt delighted; last ti just 10 points of divinity in the puppet brought forth astonishing power, so now accommodating 25 points of divinity will certainly be stronger.
"Great! With our comprehensive preparations this ti, the Soul Devouring King will undoubtedly fall at our feet just like every other invader before."
The puppet lowered its arm and calmly said, "Master, never underestimate an enemy; a King Level monster is imasurable. Its terrors are unknown, and any carelessness could bring about our destruction."
Rod nodded, "I will, rest assured."
Turning his head, beside him, the Book of the Future scread and ran into the House of God.
"Ma, Master," it trembled, "I, I’m useless and can’t help, a King Level monster is too terrifying, I can’t predict anything about its future, not even half a second."
Rod didn’t mind, casually saying, "Don’t worry, just hide in the House of God when the invasion begins."
"Go, good, thank you, master; once I’m fully recovered, I’ll definitely serve the master..."
Rod ignored it, retrieving the Stone of Chaos from the House of God, which is a special creation for the Dream Realm’s invasion of the Chaotic Sea, immune to all non-chaotic damage. There was no chance to use it during the Starry Sky City battle, so it was ideal here.
He also held "Guardian of Darkness" and "Twisted Balance" in hand, ready to use them at any ti.
Lastly, after examining his soul and stars, Rod took a deep breath and quietly stood in the Obelisk, awaiting the invasion.
The Book of Knowledge nervously guarded by the Divine Mirror, having used a Colorful Dream on the Yin Cloud outside the Dream Realm.
Soon, the clock ticked past the last mark, pointing to evening.
In that instant, in the endlessly distant Spirit Realm, the unseen sun set.
The Dream Realm suddenly darkened, shadows lowered, and the warning surface of the Obelisk began to flicker rapidly. Deadly red light burst out, its fiery red script twisting and deforming, finally forming four blood-red words.
The Invasion Arrives!
With a buzzing sound, an invisible power arose, and the Book of Knowledge activated the Divine Mirror. White smoke rose from the book surface, intertwining on the mirror, giving total control over all the powers within the Dream Realm.
Beyond the dream night sky, a gigantic shadow appeared in the distance, rapidly approaching them.
Rod shouted, "Book, should I use divinity?"
The Dream Realm could use a maximum of 120 points of divinity for enhancent, increasing defensive power, which was one of their significant trump cards.
"Wait!"
The Book of Knowledge shouted.
"Sothing is amiss."
The next mont, it instead released the outer defense of the Dream Realm, causing a giant hole to appear in the night sky.
Rod exclaid in shock, "Book! What are you doing?"
With unimaginable speed, the shadow passed through the hole, directly entering the Dream Realm.
It was an enormous ghost spirit, its body like a solid ford of ghastly white spiritual energy, lacking limbs, with only a torn torso and a battered skull.
Powerful spiritual energy waves surged forth, with imnse spiritual pressure pressing on Rod’s soul.
Rod felt extrely uncomfortable, but not the breathless suffocation feeling.
Huh?
Isn’t the Soul Devouring King supposed to be a king-level monster?
This feeling, how co it isn’t as oppressive as the Great Demon God?
The Soul Devouring King let out a terrifying howl, spiritual energy waves ca crashing in waves like a tide. Rod took a step back, sowhat disbelieving. This spiritual energy was indeed strong, but only slightly stronger than a Fifth Tier monster, far below any king-level he had encountered before.
In the next mont, the dream realm’s hole closed, and invisible dream forces ca from all directions, starting to suppress the Soul Devouring King.
In an instant, the sense of threat plumted, and the Soul Devouring King fell to the ground with a thud.
The Dream Realm’s power had long been fundantally changed with multiple stars quantifying and increasing source energy significantly, along with the repair of the Divine Mirror.
Especially the latter, as if putting the finishing touch on a masterpiece, made the Dream Realm seem to gain a soul, with mighty power directly and firmly suppressing the Soul Devouring King.
"Is that it?"
Rod could hardly believe his eyes; back when he went to the Soul Devouring King’s castle, even the soul sealed there was stronger than this.
Could it be that breaking through the seal and traversing ti and space to invade the Dream Realm has weakened it?
But at that mont, the Soul Devouring King suddenly spoke.
"Master, oh great master, you have finally... returned."
