Chapter 1618: Warning From A Demon Lord
The moment Klaus responded to the Ebon Sovereign, his expression paled.
Seeing this, Klaus laughed. “Why don’t you call your supposed 1,000 demons and see if they respond?”
The Ebon Sovereign quickly reached for his munication device and called the men tasked with ensuring that every last hostage remained under their watch. A few seconds later, the call ended without a reply.
He called another, then another, then another, until he finally realized he had lost the odeal even before the battle began. His men wouldn’t dare let his call ring for more than three seconds without answering. So, ten unanswered calls meant only one thing…
“They’re all dead, and you are next.”
Visibly, all 400 demons trembled.
But Klaus had already made up his mind. He would kill every last one of them and finally rid the Sylvaris Planetary System of their filth and disgust.
Before the battle began and everything went live, he already set two more Supreme-grade living weapons, like the Grim Void Blade, to ensure the hostages were safe.
The two weapons are, of course, the [Light Ascension Spear] and the [Ten Calamity Prayer Bead]. Just like Seraya, they had also been upgraded to the supreme stage.
Their weapon spirits had also chosen to take the weapons as their new body, so the weapons had bee living weapons now.
Klaus knew they would get the job done, so he wasn’t even bothered. This means he can kill these demons, and he planned on doing so…

The man was a Celestial, so even through the projection, Klaus could sense his imposing presence.
“You have failed me, Ebon Sovereign,” Lord Mordrika said, staring at the Ebon Sovereign with disgust and disdain. The poor demon general gritted his teeth but said nothing.
“Put that arrogant human bug on the call.”
Before the Ebon Sovereign could turn to Klaus, the sly Paragon extended his hand, and the municator flew toward him.
Around the universe, everyone paid close attention to the conversation that was about to unfold. Lord Mordrika was one of the 42 Demon Lords in the Demon Faction.
This also makes him a member of the Demon Court under the Ice Demon King. Every Demon King had three Demon Lords serving under them. Lord Mordrika answers to the Ice Demon King, who in turn answers to the Demon Emperor.
Unlike Klaus’s grandpa, King Alastor, who had chosen to remain neutral in the struggle between the demons and the Heavens Court, this Demon Lord had vowed to encase the Heavens Faction, or righteous faction, in ice.
So he was feared by many, and today he stood face to face with an uprising talent of the righteous faction…
Klaus locked eyes with the Demon Lord for a few moments before speaking.
“I suppose you didn’t call all the way from the demon universe to take beauty inspiration from my good looks, oh mighty Demon Lord.”
Klaus chuckled at the end, and far away on Planet Caelmir and in the Demon Universe, both Klaus’s father and grandfather burst out laughing. In fact, they weren’t the only ones.
Many who weren’t afraid for his life, most of whom were his wives, couldn’t hold back their laughter. Even Queenie, who had been down because of her recent memories, wore a smile.
Lord Mordrika beamed with fury, his usual blue eyes turning red as he narrowed them at Klaus.
“Brat, do you think I am someone you can disrespect and get away with?” he gritted his teeth, clenching his fist.
Klaus smiled and answered, “Obviously not, but you’re kind of blocking me from killing these demons, so why don’t you threaten me, curse at me, and leave me alone so I can kill them?”
“Oh, so that is how it’s going to be, huh? You wouldn’t even save face for me.”
“Definitely not. You see, my job is to hunt down scum and get paid for it. I was paid a great deal of money to e kill these demons, so letting them go would be a waste. But rest assured, I’ll make it swift and painless.” Klaus laughed.
“Though talk about save face, do you see in three perspectives considering you have six eyes.” It was a genuine question, but wasn’t answered.
Lord Mordrika glared hatefully at Klaus, almost as if he wanted to bore a hole through his head.
“You are very arrogant, human. I’ll give you that. Perhaps if you were a demon, you would have bee far worse than most of us. However, it is this arrogance that will kill you soon.
These demons are here under my mand, so if anything, letting them go would be a step toward earning my favor. However, since you insist on killing them, I have no reason to remain here much longer.
But know this, human. While I cannot e to the righteous faction and kill you, I will be waiting for you on the Ancient Battlefield. The day you step foot there will be the day you die.”
Klaus smiled and shook his head, almost amused.
“Why wait that long when we can do it right here?” Klaus laughed before turning serious.
“Paragon, if you are watching this, then here is my request. I am one of the greatest warriors of the younger generation, so naturally, I fall under the category of someone who can stand shoulder to shoulder with you.
However, unlike you, who has powerful allies, my family disowned me, so I have a proposal. Kill Lord Mordrika for me, and when it is time for you to attack the foreign race, my friends and I will join you in that campaign.
I may be part of the righteous faction, but even I know the universe needs the likes of you to save it. So do this, and I will be in your debt.”
Almost instantly, the Paragon’s profile on the Uniweb responded.
[It is good to see a warrior such as yourself asking for help, Renegade Hunter. Since you asked, I will see to it that Lord Mordrika dies within the next couple of days.
Also, since we will be fighting side by side, we can hold off on killing each other for now and focus on preparing for the battle ahead. That said, you should be careful over the next couple of days. My shamans warn me that something dark is ing.]
Klaus smirked, clearly amused. He looked at Lord Mordrika and chuckled.
“RIP, demon.”
Klaus hung up the call, and the next second, thousands of weapons moved, bringing an end to all 400 demons.
However, many failed to notice that the moment the Ebon Sovereign died, his bloodline essence and soul spirit were extracted and vanished into Klaus’s soul sea.

Back on Planet Caelmir, Orion looked at Hunter.
“Pops, you’re up. Go to the Demon Universe and kill that sucker.”
“Huh? But you need me to save your other incarnation in the Devil’s Maw.”
“That was the plan before I stepped onto the God Ascension Trial. But even if it es down to it and I can’t handle it, Mom and the Calamities are there to e to my aid.”
“I see. Then I’d better handle that bastard first and return. I don’t want to miss the fun after all.” Hunter smiled and stood up.
“Say hi to Grandpa and Grandma for me.”
The overly happy puppeteer swordsman had not only seen his job class upgraded, but his bloodline had also evolved, making him an Asura Demon now. This meant his class and bloodline are far more monstrous now.
“They will hear your greetings, son.”
With a laugh, he vanished from sight, appearing somewhere on Planet Blood Star. Since Klaus had already shared his Star Monarch bloodline with his grandparents, Hunter was able to teleport all the way there.
But even without it, Runner, who had bee a Celestial now, would have taken him there in mere minutes.
