As the lady said, Klaus was in the building for less than five minutes.
They rely took his na and picture. There was nothing like his age, where he ca from, his telephone number, and all the other crap he went through back when he was getting his ID on Earth.
After receiving his ID, he left.
Now holding his ID card, he couldn’t help feeling happy.
’One down, one more left to go.’
He soon appeared on the outside, where Maud and the lady were still waiting for him. Not that they could leave... Maud would have inford Klaus.
"Congratulations on getting your ID," the lady said as she turned the floating platform around. Klaus jumped on it, and soon they started moving toward the bank, which was a couple of minutes from the identification center.
"So, are there so other rules I should be aware of while here?" Klaus asked. He already knew about the no-flying policy, so he wanted to learn more.
He had already sensed a couple of immortals, and while he could kill a couple of them now that he was an Empyrean Stage warrior, he planned not to pick a fight with anyone on the first day.
The lady seed to have expected this question, so she was quick to answer, "Aside from the no spiritual energy flying rule, the second one is no major battles in public places. You will be kicked out if you don’t adhere to this rule."
It was a trade planet after all, so damaging infrastructure would co at a rather steep price, even warranting the need to banish anyone involved in damaging public property.
Aside from that rule, everything else that didn’t result in flight and harsh battles was on the table. It ant killing soone who ssed with you was allowed.
Klaus didn’t know how to feel about this, but he knew the rules were vague for a reason. People always set these rules to create a bigger problem for those who would violate them.
In essence, if he were to kill soone now, the person’s background, provided they were powerful, would have to step in and then create an even bigger problem, which would lead everyone back to no bigger battles in the city.
It would co at a cost, and Klaus knew that.
’Ah, it’s not like I plan on cutting heads off right away. I am just here to deposit my money and start working on growing stronger.’
"This place is beautiful for sure," Klaus muttered, looking at the glass buildings towering several ters high, so even touching the yellow clouds.
The sun was still up, so the land was yellow, giving everyone yellow, glossy skin. Klaus looked at Maud, who, despite the yellow surrounding her, still looked dull and dark, as if she owned the color.
"We are here."
Universe Bank
Klaus looked at the tall building and smiled. ’According to Nadia, opening an account here will enable to spend my money anywhere I find myself in the universe. It even works in the Demon Universe.’
Klaus walked off the floating platform and took Maud’s hand, helping her walk off too. After they were safe on the ground, the floating platform rose into the air.
"I cannot wait for you since it will take so ti to handle everything. You can call back when done."
Klaus scratched the back of his head, "Uhm, how do I do that?"
The lady on the floating board looked at him weirdly, but, rembering that Klaus had said this was his first ti traveling out of his world, she seed to grasp his question.
Though strange that a person like Klaus had not heard of communication devices in this modern era, she understood not everyone was exposed to technology like she was.
She was born into technology, so she had been living with it for almost 300 years.
Klaus wanted to say he had only recently reincarnated, so aside from communication crystals, he had no idea how things worked now.
Of course, he used a phone back on Earth, but things were different now. He was far from ho.
"Request a Dark Space communicator after you get your bank card. Then call through this ID." The lady gave Klaus a tallic card with alphanuric inscriptions.
Her na was also on it.
’Eri, huh,’ Klaus took ntal note of the na.
"I also work on my day off as a navigator, so in case you want to go anywhere in this world, I have a flying vehicle that can handle that. I charge by the hour."
Klaus placed the card in his space ring and smiled, "I most certainly will give you a call, Eri. In any case, see you later."
She nodded and left.
Klaus and Maud walked into the building. The mont they entered, a human woman with green, detailed eyes and a tal cheekpiece walked toward them.
"Welco to the Universe Bank. My na is Lihum. How may I assist you today?"
"I am looking to open an account and deposit sothing small before continuing my journey," Klaus replied, and Lihum nodded.
"Please follow ." Klaus and Maud followed her. A few seconds later, they were inside an office facing soone different. Lihum left and went back to her post.
"My na is Circi. I will be assisting you today."
Klaus nodded.
"First, can I see your ID?" Klaus retrieved it and handed it to Circi. She placed it on a glass screen.
A few seconds later, she handed it back to Klaus.
"Do you want a global or dostic account? Global accounts work anywhere in the universe, while dostic accounts are only effective while in the Human Universe.
Of course, with a global account, there is a monthly fee of 20,000 Universe Coins, while a dostic account only takes 1,000 Universe Coins."
"I plan on traveling the universe, so I will go for global."
Circi nodded with a smile and keyed in so details. A few minutes later, she spoke again.
"To finish creating the account, you must deposit sothing that can at least cover the cost of the monthly global fees."
Klaus retrieved one of the credit cards Nadia and Yuying had brought and handed it over. The lady nodded and placed the card on the sa glass screen. A few seconds later, Klaus heard a ding.
This prompted him to conclude that the process was finished. As expected, a path opened on the table, and a sleek card appeared.
"Here is your bank card. You can use it anywhere you go in the universe." Klaus received the card with a smile.
"Thank you. But I was told to request a Black Space communicator..."
"Of course. It is an add-on, but since most people already have communicators, we tend to forget about it. Forgive for that."
Klaus smiled, "No need to worry about that. I rely want one since I am bound to make friends on this journey."
"I completely understand." Circi reached into what appeared to be a storage space for the bank and pulled out a sleek-looking watch.
"Just place your bank card on it, and it will activate. It charges using spiritual qi, so there is no need to worry about it going off.
Lastly, when you get a Dark Space connector, the communicator will automatically link to it, helping you capture both contact IDs and Userlinks."
Klaus nodded, only having a fair idea of what she said. He will find out more later
"In any case, where do I go if I want to deposit more money into my account?"
Circi smiled and pointed at herself, "How much do you want to deposit?"
Klaus retrieved two God Crystals and placed them on the table.
Circi’s eyes widened.
