What does it an to be the Paragon? How does it feel to be the Paragon?
These are the most frequently asked questions Klaus has answered many tis in his many lives. He had been asked so many tis that he couldn’t even begin to count.
However, whenever he is asked, instead of complaining, he smiles and gives them the only answer that justifies and fully encompasses his nature.
"What does it an to be the Paragon, huh?" A pondering expression appeared on his face for a few monts before he smiled.
"To answer this question, I first have to answer one important one. There are two aspects of being the Paragon: the feeling and the aning.
With the feeling, it feels free being the Paragon. I have no rules to follow and no one to answer to. The limitations that plague everyone do not affect . I have the liberty to do as I please, which, if looked at from a certain perspective, feels free.
So you can say it feels good/free/relaxing to be the Paragon. However, as to what it ans to be the Paragon, the answer is simply that I have to carry the load of everyone."
Klaus smirked, a bit annoyed that his role had to do with protecting all who hate him. The universe had been programd to hate him.
A typical example was his 7th incarnation, where, in a world of billions, only six people loved him. Before he awakened, he was loved by all; however, when his destiny took hold and his nature as the Paragon started to awaken, everyone turned against him.
Yet in the end, it was he who carried the fate of the entire planet on his shoulders at the expense of losing the few who loved him.
So, being the Paragon, while it feels free and good, also cos with a huge role that only he can carry.
"You know, if I stopped being , this universe would not last the next era. Many believe that the Heavenly Court and the other powerhouses are responsible for keeping this universe safe—of course, they are doing their best.
However, when it cos to the real battle, the one that will determine the fate of the universe, not even the strongest of them can last a second."
"How is that so?" Lady Narcisa asked. "What is different about you that the strongest of the universe cannot replicate?"
"It is very simple, Supre Elder Narcisa. They fight against the bugs, while I fight against the Heavenly Dao." A smile tugged at the corner of his lips. "When the battle to determine everything arrives, it will be one against the Heavenly Dao."
"So, since you are soone who doesn’t have to follow the rules of the universe, you are the only one qualified to oppose them." The quiet Lista ca to a conclusion that made everyone turn to Klaus for confirmation.
"That is indeed true."
They all turned and looked at the shy demigod, causing her to blush and hide her face.
"I eat the Heavenly Dao for dinner, so in a battle of the Dao, it will be between the Defiance Paragon Dao and the Heavenly Dao. I doubt all these overly overpowered puppets of the heavens have what it takes to face the heavens."
"You make it sound like the heavens will rebel, boy," King Alric muttered, a smirk appearing on his face.
Klaus turned and looked at his no-good old man and laughed. "But they have already rebelled, old man. The mont they turned against during my third incarnation as the Asura God, they rebelled.
You see, I only recently learned that I ca to this universe at the Heavenly Dao’s request. So if that is the case, why would they spend so much to get here just to start hating , killing all I cared about?"
Once again, Lista ca to a conclusion. "The only way that is possible is if they feel threatened by you."
"Bingo,"
"But if they were the ones that brought you to this universe, why then would they suddenly decide to hate you? It doesn’t make sense to ," she asked, and everyone nodded at her question.
Klaus had already made it clear that he is the only one who can stand against the Heavenly Dao. Naturally, that makes him a threat.
However, saying he ca to this universe thanks to the heavens contradicts the fact that he suddenly beca their enemy.
"Unless there is soone threatened, soone who is just like you, soone who can defy the Heavenly Dao." Lista again deduced, and Klaus smiled...
"You are a curious one, huh? I like that. I like people who can think logically." Lista blushed again, and this ti, she hid her head behind her mother, who couldn’t help but laugh at her predicant.
"You indeed have a point, Lista. The only way the Heavenly Dao would hate is if soone is in control of it."
Queenie narrowed her eyes and asked, "If they are in control of the Heavenly Dao, then why won’t they just kill you and be done with it? Although you are a monster in human skin, I doubt that you can handle the power of the heavens in your current state. So what is preventing them from killing you?"
"That I do not know. But I have a few suspicions." He took a gulp of his wine and raised one finger. "First, I think they don’t have complete control over the Heavenly Dao yet."
He raised a second finger. "Second, I think there is soone standing in their way. I know it is not , and it most certainly isn’t soone I know, but I am sure the heavens brought here, and that decision was made by soone. That soone may be the last obstacle in their way."
A smile ford on Klaus’s face. His wives, who knew the kind of narcissist he is, knew he was about to be shaless, so they covered their faces.
"Lastly, I think they are too flustered to attack simply because I am too handso. They couldn’t bear to hurt ."
RUMBLE
Thunder and lightning streaked across the clouds, causing everyone in the dining hall to raise their heads and look. Klaus, however, took a slice of at and placed it in his mouth, a grin on his face.
"Unbelievable." Steve, Queen Leah’s eldest child, shook his head and smiled. "That was the warning of divine punishnt. Aren’t you a bit afraid?"
"Afraid?" Klaus laughed. "I don’t know if sothing is wrong with my head or not, but I don’t have fear of the heavens. They don’t scare , and I most certainly would not allow them to scare ."
Lucy chuckled and sumd everything up. "In short, he is the only psycho in the universe who doesn’t fear the heavens. To him, angering them is a hobby."
Be it King Alric, who is a Celestial, or Queen Leah, everyone couldn’t help but look at the white-haired brat with varied expressions.
There was reverence, intrigue, fear, joy, and the strongest of all—love.
In their eyes, Klaus is the embodint of the perfect human. He is not limited by the heavens, and he also doesn’t care about what they think about him. What could be more perfect than that?
