Klaus smiled.
He may not have known much about Calamity Beasts back when he was on Earth. However, now that he had recovered his mories of the Star Monarch, he knew quite a lot about them.
After all, he was able to ta the Three True Calamities during the era of the Star Monarch.
"When I was the Star Monarch, I had the pleasure of eting all three True Calamities. Back then, I had this wild assumption that the day we t, I would subdue them with my power and take them under my wings.
However, when we did et, it was who was subdued—literally. They were calamities through and through. However, we got to know each other, and eventually, I managed to convince them to join my side.
They were beings cursed by the Heavens to usher in the end of an era. They were ant to wreak havoc and cause mayhem, only for the Heavens to swoop in, take them out, and restore peace to the universe.
They had succeeded many tis in the past; however, I stopped it during the Star Monarch Era, and it was then that I discovered sothing chilling."
Klaus sighed and sent his mind back to the day he learned from Nari’s past self why the Heavens hated them and why they placed a curse on them.
"You see, the Calamity Beast race is one that treads on the thin line of fate. From the day they are born, fate struggles to keep them tethered to its will.
However, once they beco gods, that little hold becos even more fragile until eventually, they beco fateless. That is what the Heavens feared, and so they made it so that all Calamity Beasts get stuck at the peak of the True God stage.
They don’t want you to beco fateless because the mont you do, your existence becos yours to control. It was why they hated the True Calamities.
I found out that over the years, the True Calamities had been using their blood to help many Calamity Beasts beco fateless. They wanted to free their kind, and so they were cursed.
My blood broke the curse, but it also called down the wrath of the Heavens, ultimately resulting in the death of billions."
Klaus sighed again, this ti feeling intense hatred toward the Heavens for what they did to his people.
Many who died were innocents living in their peaceful world, but because of their hatred for him, everyone was slaughtered—everyone, including children and pregnant won.
They showed no rcy.
"This is what I am going to do. I will make you fateless, and in return, you will fight for . If we manage to leave here in one piece, I’ll take you to one of the True Calamities and let her transfer the true inheritance of the Calamity Beast race to you."
Lady Beyhos trembled in her seat, the look of shock appearing in her eyes.
"Are you saying the True Calamities are alive? I thought they died."
Klaus laughed. "Oh please, do you think I play chess to lose? I always have so aces up my sleeve, and so I can confidently say they are alive. Well, the Black Fla Calamity Phoenix died, but the Red Horn Qilin and Demon Eye Dragon are still alive and well."
"Oh, the Black Fla Calamity Phoenix has already risen from the ashes, like the phoenix she is."
Klaus wanted to summon Nari over, but he decided against that. The last thing he wanted was to put her in danger when he still didn’t have his blood in Lady Beyhos’s system.
He doesn’t trust her just yet, so he can’t make such a bold move.
"So what do you think, Lady Beyhos? Do you accept my proposal to beco a mber of the Star Monarch family, or will you sell out to the Heavens Court and hope to beco an even more cherished pawn in their ga of deceit?"
Clearly, she was pissed to have learned she had been deceived all this ti.
However, committing to another person right after seed like a rushed decision.
"You said that we have to fight together, or else we will all perish. What did you an by that?"
"The only reason you are alive today is so you could kill the humans who would be entering this place, preventing them from fighting against the warriors who would be coming after the Jade Ant Queen."
"WHAT?" Her eyes widened.
"The Jade Ant Queen is dead, so why would they co after her?"
"That is because she would be undergoing her rebirth in a couple of weeks, and your employers want to get their hands on her. Of course, once they succeed, they would have no use for you, and so, to prevent you or anyone from telling on them, they would kill you all.
I plan to stop them from succeeding. However, I will need your help if we are going to have a shot at keeping our lives intact."
"I see. I suppose I want to live, and so do thousands of Calamity Beasts out there. However, even if my subordinates and I join you, there are thousands of us out there who would still be a hindrance.
How do you plan to address that?"
Klaus smiled and waved his hand, extracting four drops of his blood. "Here is the key to breaking the hold the Heavens have on you. You can take one, and when you see its effect, I am sure you will kindly offer it to the other three gods.
Crux already told you are the strongest, so I have no doubt you will face any opposition, especially after you are done taking my blood."
The intoxicating sll of his blood caused Lady Beyhos to absentmindedly lick her lips. Seeing this, Klaus smiled and stood up.
He froze three of the blood samples in an ice block. He waved his hand, and they flew toward her alongside the unfrozen one.
"I will be taking Crux with . Her speed is sothing I need to get to a very important place. When I return, we will have a eting on how best to handle the coming battle."
She was so focused on the golden blood that she nodded, but didn’t even notice when Klaus walked out of the trunk house.
Klaus had no fear that in a couple of days, four gods would be joining him. In the past, just one of his subordinates could recruit hundreds of others simply by giving them drops of his blood to give to those they deed worthy of joining his cause.
This ti, too, he knew Lady Beyhos would join his cause. After all, just when he took three steps out, he sensed she had consud his blood.
He smiled and turned toward his left, locking eyes with Reed, the mantis-type beast that tried to suppress him when he arrived with Crux.
Seeing him co out of the trunk house, alive and in perfect shape, shocked him.
Crux landed by Klaus’s side. "How did it go?"
"I am alive, so I suppose it went well."
She nodded and turned toward Reed and Lizzy. After flashing a smirk, she took to the air, and Klaus followed. He had already discussed his plan with her, so she knew where they would be going next.
