The rest of the ssages were requests for interviews, while others asked whether Klaus was up to joining their teams to explore a recently discovered ruin.
Icon replied, making them aware that her master was on an expedition when they sent their ssages.
A few reached back, saying they understood, while others ignored her. In the end, Klaus decided to go see Supre Queen Mirabel of the Universe Bank.
He had already received a Dark Key, so teleporting to her domain was as simple as activating it.
After bidding his Paragon Star Guards goodbye for the ti being, he activated the key, and the next second, he vanished from the dark mansion.
He appeared on a busy street sowhere in the Dark Space.
Reacting quickly, he managed to move his body away from the street and scan the city. There were tall buildings, flying cars, thousands of warriors, and all kinds of things.
"Icon, where am I?" Klaus asked.
He expected to appear right in Supre Queen Mirabel’s private world as he did with Supre Elder Ryuu.
However, that wasn’t the case, and that alone proved this key may not have truly co from Supre Queen Mirabel.
Perhaps it was Lord Flux who created it so that Klaus could easily reach Supre Queen Mirabel.
"The master is in a virtual copy of Planet Nka. It is one of the prosperous planets in the Milky Way Galaxy, and the headquarters of the Universe Bank branch is located here.
The master is 20 km away from the Universe Bank headquarters. I will lead the way."
Klaus nodded and started following Icon.
He knew that if he must make ands, coming in person was the best decision. He could have called, but doing so would be very disrespectful.
After walking for 10 minutes, Klaus arrived at a tall building made purely out of glass. It is the tallest building he has seen so far, a clear sign that this planet is controlled by this building.
Walking toward the entrance, a robot guard opened the door while welcoming him in a chanical tone. Klaus nodded and walked inside the building.
"Welco to the Universe Bank. How can we be of help today?" Just when Klaus walked into the building, a petite lady clad in a nice suit approached him with a broad yet professional smile.
It was similar to what happened when he went to open his account at the Universe Bank.
He returned the smile and responded, "Hi, I am here to et Supre Queen Mirabel. You can tell her Klaus Hanson is here, or if you prefer, tell her the Renegade Hunter is here to see her."
As expected, at the ntion of his hunter’s na, the lady beca stunned, her eyes widening.
"P-Please follow ."
She led Klaus toward an elevator in haste. As they moved, many on the bank’s ground floor wondered who Klaus was.
Unfortunately for them, Klaus had disguised his appearance a little before coming, so recognizing him wasn’t sothing they could easily do.
Soon, Klaus was led into the elevator, and before long, they were on the last floor.
After exiting the elevator, Klaus was led to a sitting room and served a glass of wine. "Please wait here while I inform my queen of your arrival."
The Universe Bank has several roles and positions. Those leading the various galaxies are known as Kings or Queens, while the entire universe, such as the Human Universe or Beast Universe, is known as an Emperor or Empress.
They aren’t royalty, but their titles make them people likened to be one.
As Klaus sat there, he examined his surroundings, allowing the aesthetics to sink in. A minute later, the lady returned.
"My Queen is ready to et you. Please follow ."
Klaus nodded, set his drink down, and started following her.
A few seconds later, the lady opened a door and gestured for Klaus to enter. "Please go in, my Queen is waiting for you."
Klaus thanked her and stepped in. The mont he walked through the gate, instead of an office, he found himself in a garden. Seated under a tree, Supre Queen Mirabel smiled, locking her gaze with Klaus.
"Renegade Hunter, I have been expecting you."
Klaus smiled slightly and nodded. "Sorry for making you wait, Supre Queen Mirabel. I was tied down on so missions."
Klaus walked forward, and when he was close enough, Supre Queen Mirabel gestured for him to sit down.
"I suppose now that you are here, we can have a good talk and perhaps cent a few things we never got the chance to the last ti we t."
The last ti, Supre Elder Juo accused him of being the Paragon, prompting Klaus to use the Zorvian Ancient family na to prove his identity.
Because of that, he beca mad at all the Supres present, and so he left them all hanging.
Initially, he planned not to et them again, but after he had cald down, he realized making enemies with them wouldn’t help him.
The Heavens Court may claim they are the strongest, but the Universe Bank is no powerhouse he can afford to antagonize.
Perhaps if one day he manages to reach the peak, then looking down on them wouldn’t be an issue.
"First of all, I apologize for how things ended the last ti. I should have handled things much more civilly. For that, I am sorry and ask for your forgiveness, Supre Queen Mirabel." Klaus apologized, showing how sincere he was.
Supre Queen Mirabel rely smiled and said:
"No need to apologize, Renegade Hunter. I realized the situation you were in, and judging by how we treated you, it was only normal that you acted that way. I also apologize for siding with Elder Juo. I should have been more open-minded."
"You have nothing to apologize for, Supre Queen Mirabel. That said, now that I am here, we can talk about the offer you said you had for ."
Supre Queen Mirabel nodded and started to speak:
"I believe when it cos to the Warrior Temple, you have no dealings with them anymore, right?"
"I don’t. The only connection I have to them is limited to Lord Flux, Supre Elder Ryuu, and the Burning Angel. Aside from them, I have nothing to do with the Warrior Temple."
"Good." Supre Queen Mirabel smiled. "How about the Dark Space Company? They nad you their warrior candidate."
"Oh, that. Well, they did that as a favor to the Burning Angel. While I would have to represent them every now and then, whatever I do with my life doesn’t concern them.
I am a hunter, so they understood that when it cos to missions involving the mission hall, I have priority to pick any I want.
Even if they have a mission for , as long as I am tied down with mission hall duties, they won’t bother . You can even say I am fortunate to have beco their Warrior Candidate."
"Even better." The smile on Supre Queen Mirabel’s face brightened, making her look even more beautiful. She had nice blue hair that fell down her back and perfect jade-blue eyes that captured her essence.
Among the Supres Klaus had t so far, she ranked among the top ten for beauty. Clad in a futuristic cloak-like attire, her beauty shone even more.
"Since you are basically free of most obligations, then how about you beco an Exclusive Hunter for the Universe Bank."
