Klaus left the room with a blissful expression. He was happy with his gains and so, he planned on spending the next few days with his ladies and moon before entering seclusion to review his mories.
However, the mont he stepped out, he found Kathy standing in the hallway, probably waiting for him.
"Tell you haven't been standing there for hours," Klaus said, but Kathy only smiled guiltily. It was clear she had been standing there for a while. Explore stories on My Virtual Library Empire
"Unbelievable." Klaus said shaking his head. "But to what do I owe this visit that required you to wait for for hours?" Klaus asked, and Kathy went down on one knee.
"Thank you for giving your blood. I am truly grateful," she said, prompting Klaus to quickly move toward her and lift her to her feet. He brushed a few strands of hair from her face and stared at her.
"Kathy, you are family now, and family doesn't thank each other for everything. Hanna told how you helped her and my friends while I was away, so instead of thanking , I should be the one thanking you.
Giving you my blood is my way of thanking you if you must" Klaus didn't know how to feel about such a beauty kneeling in front of him.
Well, he actually knew how to feel, considering so of the most beautiful won on Earth had been kneeling in front of him these past few days.
But that was a different setting.
"No, your blood—while humans might not understand—is sothing no beast like myself would ever take lightly. I can now feel an untapped power surging within . I would be lying if I said I couldn't take on a Tier 10 beast at the 7th level right now."
"Your blood is very powerful, and because of you, I am now a powerhouse that doesn't have to bow to any beast. I can stand on my own two feet. So, thank you."
Klaus could only sigh...
"If you insist on thanking , then I will accept your gratitude. But let this be the last ti. You are family now, so don't behave like an outsider," Klaus said before letting go of her hands.
Kathy nodded and then vanished into the hallway, leaving Klaus alone. He sighed understanding where she was coming from.
As a beast who now have the power to say no to any beast, she was indeed very grateful. Before they t, she hated humans.
She also hated beasts simply because they tend to use their authority to command the monsters into doing all kinds of dirty jobs for them.
Kathy was ones in a raid that saw almost all the monsters in that raid wiped out. So now that she had reached the stage she can make her own decision, she could on thank Klaus for making that happen.
Klaus stretch his arms for a few second before speaking toward a certain direction.
"Stop being a creep, Mom. I know you're behind the door," Klaus said. A few seconds later, a door opened, and his mom walked out, smiling.
"So, you still use your senses to spy on people, huh? I never knew I raised a pervert," Klaus's mom said, causing Klaus to blush.
His mind went back to when he first awakened the Eye of Malevolence. Back then, he didn't know how it worked, so he may have accidentally peeked at his mom while she was bathing.
But it was by accident. Yet, this shaless woman never seed to want to stop teasing him about it. Klaus also never seed to forget that mont, despite wanting to.
She walked closer and placed her right hand around his shoulder. The two appeared as one as they walked down the hallway like buddies.
"It seems you really are enjoying this vacation," his mom said with a teasing smile as they gazed into the distance, where all his won were seen spending ti together.
"I worked for it," Klaus replied.
"That you did. But you have to leave so of the credit to . I worked too." Klaus turned and looked at her, wondering if she, indeed, was the one who had given birth to him.
"Mom, how can you be this shaless? I was the one who worked to get them into my harem. All you did was be a creep and a perv—ouch!"
"Who is a creep?" his mom said, holding onto his ear and causing him to scream in pain. This caught the attention of his ladies, but they just brushed it aside.
They now knew the dynamic between the son and mother, so they figured Klaus had probably said sothing he shouldn't have.
"Sorry, Mom. I promise from now on, I will recognize your importance in my love life," Klaus pleaded for his ear. Thankfully, the shaless mother accepted his apology.
This caused him to sigh and make a ntal note to get back at her. Turning her into an ice statue would indeed co in handy.
"Mom, do you miss Dad?" Klaus suddenly asked.
"Of course, I miss him. But he is no more, so we can only keep living in his mory," she replied without hesitation, bringing a smile to his face.
"I don't believe Dad died, Mom. I know deep within that he is still alive. I will look for him one day. When I beco strong enough, and I can travel the distance of stars, I will search for him." He held her hand and looked into her eyes.
"That is my promise to you. I will bring Dad ho."
She nodded and then hugged him, making Klaus smile slyly. His dad was the best when he was growing up, so though he was declared dead, he didn't believe it. He would one day find him.
'If only it were that simple,' Klaus's mom thought, but she didn't say anything and kept hugging him.
"Mom, is it just , or have you grown again in all the right places?" Klaus said, looking at the damsel in front of him.
"I had to live up to your standards, brat. As your mother, it was only right for to be equally beautiful to match yours.
Though I am still more beautiful than you and your ladies, I wouldn't want to take all the credit. But since you noticed, I can only say thanks for noticing. At least I still have a man in my life."
"True. As the Angel of Death, you shouldn't pale in comparison to us re mortals," Klaus replied.
"At least you know how to complint . Do that more often," she said with a smile, but the happiness in her eyes said it all—she was very happy at the mont.
"Then why don't we join the jealous ones over there? They seem to have their sights set on devouring you mom." Klaus and his mom looked at his ladies, who were staring back at them with warning glances.
"They're creeps," his mom said.
"You made them creeps," Klaus replied, holding her hand.
"I cannot deny that," she said as they walked toward the pavilion.
