Back on Earth, the moon was in full bloom, lighting the night sky with its radiance and beauty. Many were star gazing with their loved ones.
Suddenly, everything turned crimson, shattering the serene atmosphere.
Instinctively, all Moon Borns retrieved their weapons and prepared for whatever was coming. The humans also followed.
The Overlords and Grand Elders flew up, acting as the first line of defense against whatever threat might erge.
Their response was quick and imdiate.
anwhile, Klaus, Queenie, Queen Lunara, Ohema, and Miriam gazed upward, watching as Nari clashed with the ssenger.
Her attack landed on his body, sending him flying to the ground. She moved rather quickly, and before the ssenger could counter her move, she had already landed a blow.
"Fla Ascendance!" Nari's voice bood as a thick, three-ter-tall arrow shot from her bow and arrived right in front of the ssenger.
"Boom," She mouthed the sound as the arrow exploded, bathing the unfortunate ssenger in its unholy radiance.
Screams of pain escaped his mouth as the impure flas burned deep into his body, searing even his soul. Nari's impurity fla was rather lethal in that regard.
Then, to the shock of the five onlookers, Nari took a nosedive into the burning flas. It was like the fla was a pool of cold water.
She dived in.
The next second, she was back in the air with the ssenger in her grip. He was burnt all over, and from the look on his charred face, he was terrified.
"Let guess, you thought this would be an easy gig from the heavens, so you decided to get arrogant." Flas surged from Nari's eyes.
"I know that the heavens will not be happy with now connected to a paragon. I know they will send idiots like you to hinder my breakthrough. I know they will set their sight on from now onwards.
I know they will try everything to stop . But do I care?" Nari turned and looked at Klaus. A smile appeared on her lips.
"I don't care, for I promised him eons ago that I would help him on his journey. This ans I will not let the heavens touch him, not now, not ever."
Klaus heard those words, and the bow in his hands vanished. The anger and frown on his face were also wiped away. It was then replaced by a smile.
He could tell that the Nari speaking now was the sa one who had kissed him, yet also she was sowhat different.
This one seed much more mature, aning she had been possessed by her past self for this tribulation. Klaus had already been in the sa situation several tis, so he could tell.
"Ladies, why don't we sit back and watch a good fight?" Klaus snapped his fingers, and five chairs made of ice appeared.
"I have a feeling we will learn a thing or two from our very own Calamity disguised as Nari." His smile blood, catching the four ladies by surprise.
They had heard what Nari said but didn't know how to process it.
However, a seed had been planted in their hearts, and soon, it would make them start wondering about many things—one of them being whether they were incarnations of people who once lived.
The answer would follow from three.
"I know when you die here, your other body will be safe," Nari said, her smile turning crazed.
"Sorry you t . You see, I cannot let you divulge my awakening to anyone. Not just yet, so I will kill both bodies now."
Her smile was now as crazy as it could get.
Sowhere far in the universe, a tal Demon, who had recently entered the Chaos stage, snapped his eyes open and tried to scream.
However, before even a peep could co from his mouth, a phoenix tattoo appeared on his forehead, and then he exploded, destroying the space he was in.
Thankfully, three more people in the sa posture died with him. One of them was inside a tribulation, facing soone very important to Klaus.
This person had once promised him that if they t again, she would grant him three wishes of his choosing.
Nari grinned at the ssenger and engulfed his neck in flas until his head was turned to a crisp.
"That is too evil," Queen Lunara said, watching the smile on Nari's face.
"That is not evil enough, my lady. What the heavens just did was sothing they shouldn't have," Klaus said, already waiting for his tribulation.
He knew they would carry all their frustration and offload it on him.
*Rumble.*
The heavens shook again, and this ti, a terrifying beast with six pairs of arms and three pairs of eyes erged from the clouds.
The mont it arrived, everyone present could sense the aura emanating from it—it was that of a Void stage expert who had been suppressed to the peak of the Ascendant stage.
"This should be fun," Klaus said, his mind already calculating 14 scenarios in which he could kill the beast up in the air.
Nari also smirked and then pulled back her bow.
However, before she could release an arrow, the beast split into six different versions. Strangely, this caused it to lose five pairs of arms, revealing it to be a six-part beast rged into one body.
"These," Queenie muttered, watching as the six beasts lunged at Nari, who had to switch her attacking mode.
She conjured a fla into her palm and raised it up. When the beasts closed in on her, she clenched her fist, and a wave of fire exploded from her hand, pushing back the six beasts.
"Piercing Fla Arrow." A brilliant red light flashed through the air, piercing a hole through one of the beasts.
Four more followed, killing all five additions. In a way, Nari didn't know which one was the real body, so she simply killed at random.
Of course, when the five died, the last one weakened, and the next second, that one, too, was killed.
Then, a different beast appeared, also suppressed to the peak of the Transcendent stage despite being a Void stage expert.
That one, too, was dealt with, and more kept coming. Beasts of different sizes and shapes poured in for Nari to slaughter.
Klaus and the ladies could only watch with amazed expressions.
"I feel like the real battle ended when that demon was killed. Look, his body is even on the ground," Miriam said, pointing toward the demon.
"Indeed. The rest are just formalities," Klaus smiled. He waved his hand, and the body vanished. "The heavens truly didn't see that coming."
Two hours later, Nari was finally done, killing hundreds of beasts.
However, when the last beast fell, the rebirth ceremony began.
"Ladies, pay attention to what is about to happen, for you might only see it once in your lifeti." For so reason, Klaus was very happy.
It was the kind of happiness one feels when they see soone they missed dearly.
"You are about to witness the kind of rebirth that is widely accepted by the universe and added as a cultivation stage."
"You are about to witness the Nirvana Rebirth of a True Phoenix."
As soon as Klaus said that, Nari's body exploded into brilliant fla. Everything about her was gone. A golden-red crystal remained in her place.
This crystal is widely known as the Phoenix Heart, one of the most valuable items in the universe.
The rebirth is about to start, and the attraction starts drawing all kinds of beasts.
