What Nia was doing was truly heaven-defying. However, she wasn't the only one with mind-shattering abilities; Luna and her sister Nuna were equally amazing.
They may not have the ans to move through ti, but their control over shadows is impeccable. Klaus is already aware of their ability to use shadows to create shadow beings that can fight on their behalf.
Additionally, just like Nia, they can utilize the shadows to augnt their abilities, which will significantly enhance their defense.
In fact, they had already started...
However, what caught Klaus's attention now wasn't the shadow being raised slowly. This ti, it was how they were using the shadows.
Klaus raised his brow, and Eren smiled.
"It is called Shadow Enchantnt," Eren said, then went on to explain. "They are using the shadow to strengthen themselves, and while at first they might only have the ans to boost their defense, this ti they are boosting everything.
Their agility, defense, strength, and stamina. They are using the shadow to do all that, and while not many assassins can do this, it seems to co naturally to them.
Of course, they are still too weak to realize the true power of shadow enchantnt, but if they undergo the training I have for them, they will beco immortals before they even reach the Chaos stage."
"That is indeed sothing to wrap one's head around...but how would they beco immortals?" Klaus had to ask. He didn't know if he was once an assassin, but he was fascinated by the idea of using shadows to kill.
He already rembered from his past that his first incarnation was a swordsman, the second an archer, the third was also a swordsman, and the fourth a combat mage proficient in multiple weapons... Of course, his other incarnations could use other weapons aside from the sword and bow.
In his fifth incarnation, he had yet to learn about that person, just as his sixth and seventh incarnations remained a mystery.
But he had a nagging feeling his sixth was a woman, considering his affinity for music. While he didn't want to admit it, he could play the zither like a goddess.
This feeling was deepened when he t Syrith, the demoness of music, inside the trial he underwent in the dungeon. He could also be overthinking it. Perhaps he was a dude after all.
So, he knew his sixth incarnation wasn't an assassin.
His seventh wasn't an assassin either, simply because he had a nagging feeling that incarnation was much more bloody, making it unlikely for him to wield daggers.
The eighth and ninth weren't assassins either, so his fifth must have been, which would explain his liking for daggers.
'Or maybe I'm just overthinking everything... I'm a weapons enthusiast, so it's natural for to like all types of weapons.' In the end, he decided to listen to what Eren had to say.
But first, he watched closely as Luna's dagger flipped through her fingers, then she lded into the shadows only to appeared behind a Peak Tier 10 lunar beast, triple her size, and slit its throat before blending into the shadows again.
'...Beautiful.' Klaus couldn't help but admire such a graceful display of murder.
"The Shadow Enchantnt has three forms. The first form allows one to augnt their body and weapons with shadows, amplifying them.
This is, of course, temporary unless they have sothing that can trap shadows. In that case, they can store the shadows and use them later. If not, then they can slowly use it while they kill.
The second form is called Shadow Infusion. This form allows them to infuse the shadows into their blood slowly. This will enable them to permanently augnt their bodies, as the infusion occurs in the bloodstream.
I was once at this stage before the Eternal Sleep years ago. But even now, I still have traces of the shadows in my blood.
This augntation, when done to so stage, can turn their bodies shadowy, rendering them invincible to most weapons.
Then, at so stage, they will beco shadows that no physical blow can destroy. I was at that stage, and aside from Nyxthar, who has abilities that make him immune to all augntations, I was immortal on the battlefield.
And before you ask, Nyxthar's abilities are not sothing found throughout the universe; he created them himself, and yes, among all of us, he was indeed the strongest.
But that is by the way. The third form, which I never managed to reach, was said to make the assassin completely immune to all attacks, regardless of the source.
It was just remorse, but you once told us you know soone who had achieved this infamous third stage of shadow augntation."
Klaus nodded, hearing all this craziness. He didn't like to admit it, but watching his ladies smile as they took down their fair share of lunar beasts left him awed.
That was true for Lily, who was like a blur on the battlefield. She moved like the wind, driving wind blades through the beasts, killing them as she moved.
The Red Fury, who once chased him across the universe, was now killing the beast that, deep down, they thought would end the battle on the winning side.
If only they knew that the Red Fury was among the line-up of heaven-defying warriors taking care of them. Then again, who could bla them? They were fighting a battle that had already been set in stone.
Even Klaus expected at least hundreds of beasts to surrender, but only 47 did. This ant his beast army now had four dozen more additions that, after their evolution, would beco Void stage beings and perhaps five Chaos stage divine beasts.
'Wouldn't that be a sight to see?' Klaus smiled.
"I an, isn't it cheating that they have my blood running through their bodies? Now they have the ans even to beco invincible to physical damage," Klaus smiled.
He turned and looked at Eren, then a grin appeared on his face.
"Do you perhaps think you can teach this Shadow Enchantnt..."
Eren smiled, which turned into small laughter. "Isn't it ironic... to think the creator of Shadow Enchantnt will ask to be taught his own creation..."
"...Ah, I knew it. I was once an assassin," Klaus smiled.
"The best assassin to have walked the face of the universe... well, there was the Shadowless Assassin too, but, well, history tends to take you out of their history books, so... By the way, I would be glad to teach you."
