Now reading: Chapter 1174 - 351: Northern Empire4 from The Lord Demon King is Unfathomable!, a Action novel by Morning Star Ll.

Today's teasing has reached its end here; he didn't want to make the little rascal so angry that he'd foam at the mouth and really turn into a cream puff...

...

Due to many unforeseen disturbances along the way, the latter part of the journey north was much slower than before.

Luo Yan didn't find it unpleasant though, since he wasn't in much of a hurry anyway.

Whether it was the Imperial layouts, those from Hell, or the Gana Continent, they all required ti to fernt and during this period, he could observe the customs and cultures of various regions of the Aus Continent and read the books he collected along the way.

By the way, in the past half month, he finished reading "Luo De Kingdom Travelogue", and is now browsing the history of the Academic State, the origins of the thirteen Mage Towers, and the mages currently ruling there.

Out of curiosity about the Imperial "Demon King Academy", he decided not to present Count Hillfin's letter of recomndation initially, and instead planned to participate in that so-called magic apprentice examination as an ordinary person to see what rank those top students from the Demon King Academy could achieve here.

However, maybe due to his previous high-profile actions in Dragon Watch City, the news of Prince Colin's arrival in the Kingdom's Northern Realm spread quickly.

This news soon reached the ears of the lord of Eagle Rock Territory—Sir Kael Richter.

Ever since the news of Prince Colin heading north ca from the Holy City, this lord, extrely infatuated with the Imperial elegant culture, plunged into a near-frenzied anticipation.

It's Prince Colin!

Though he didn't know who Prince Colin was, nor did he understand the history of the Colin family, it did not prevent him from respecting every noble guest from the Holy City.

He dreamt fervently that soone would bring the stories from here to the Holy City, making the Richter surna a legend there.

In the castle, Sir Richter paced back and forth anxiously.

Suddenly, he paused before a statue of Saint Sis hanging on the wall, piously drawing a cross at his chest in prayer.

"Saint Sis above! Thank you for sending your ssenger to this barren land! I will certainly entertain him well, and will not fail the mission you bestowed upon the Richter family!"

He had people clean the castle early, polished a piano that no one could play, and even spent heavily to reserve a few barrels of priceless wine from the Hillfin family winery from rchants.

However, it was obvious not everyone valued "tradition" as he did, for instance, his wife didn't spare him any criticism for his vanity.

"Mission? Sir Kael, you've already spent half of this year's taxes on those expensive wines and ceremonies!"

A slightly sharp female voice emanated from beside the fireplace, carrying unabashed mockery.

"Don't be naive, even if Prince Colin admires your bravery, the Imperial Council of Elders won't move your territory to the rich southern regions."

"Shut up! What do you know!" Sir Richter snapped like a cat whose tail was stepped on, lashing back, "Woman's opinion! This is a matter of utmost importance for the family honor! What does it have to do with the territory?"

But is it unrelated?

Honor belongs to the Empire, to the Kings, to those grand nobles, only gold coins and land belong to them.

The wife stared at him defiantly, but after all, he was the master of the house, she eventually held her anger and remained silent.

Sir Richter's chest heaved violently like a frog caught by its belly, making his horizontally developing physique appear even more comical.

Though the Luo De people vehently denied it, there might indeed flow a tiny bit of Dwarf's blood in them, visible from their obsession with great swords and keen interest in forging.

Influenced by the Dwarf lineage, their height usually remained below 170 regardless of gender.

The n here possessed broad fras and solid muscles, not obvious if they don't practice martial arts, but once they do, they evolve towards a "barrel" physique. As for the won, although there were barrels aplenty, due to the influence of Imperial culture, waist-tightening was prevalent in high society, making them appear delicate yet broad-chested.

Just then, a house servant tumbled and scrambled inside from outside, their expression excited as they shouted.

"Master! Master! The sentries at the border have just sent word; they saw the purple moon emblem! The Prince's carriage has entered the realm! He's here!"

Sir Kael's wrath instantly vanished, replaced by imnse joy, he waved his hand dramatically and exclaid, "Quick! Everyone, follow out to welco him!"

With that, he imdiately led a group of house servants, not even sparing ti to don thicker robes, hurriedly out.

The piercing cold wind mixed with snowflakes strike the hills outside Eagle Rock Castle relentlessly.

Sir Kael stood proudly at the forefront of the group, dressed in a lavish attire clinging tightly to his barrel-like body, custom-made from the Holy City.

Although his nose turned red with cold, he stubbornly kept his chest erect like a wall, leading a row of shivering house servants holding their ground in the chilly breeze.

Ti ticked by as the snow on the ground rose from ankle to calf.

However, the anticipated splendid carriage bearing the esteed Prince never appeared, not even a shadow.

The expectation on Sir Kael's face gradually transford into impatience and disappointnt. His house servants exchanged wretched glances but didn't dare make a sound.

Finally, as the sun began to slant westward and the sky grew darker, the esteed knight master could no longer maintain his absurd dignity.

Waiting longer wasn't a joke, even if he was a transcendent, his servants couldn't withstand being re mortals.

He stomped his numb feet heavily, awkwardly announcing to the empty snowy field and the servants behind him.

"Bla this damn heavy snow! Yes... it must be the storm that froze Prince Colin's horses, delaying him on the road! We... better head back for now!"

Having said that, he turned angrily, carrying the unspent frustration and distress back to the warm main hall of the castle.

Just as he sat by the fireplace, before he could sip a mouthful of hot soup, a servant ran in frantically.

"Master! Master!"

Kael was startled, standing upright.

"Has Prince Colin arrived?!"

His attire was still on, ready to step out at any mont!

However, the servant, gasping, squeezed out only one sentence.

"Not Prince Colin... it's Pompeii Village! Your village! The Undead attacked there, abducting so children!"

Sir Kael was already aggravated for missing a significant character, hearing such a trivial matter, he beca enraged. He slapped the table heavily, impatiently waving them off and shouted:

"Don't bother with this! Let them find adventurers themselves! Can't even watch over so Undead, what the hell are those guild guys doing!"

If it were his horses at the farm that went missing, he might be agitated, but hearing it was just a few peasant children, his face collapsed imdiately.

The servant stamred an acknowledgnt, leaving with a bitter face, not knowing how to face the Mill Master crying at the Audience Hall doorstep.

anwhile, the revered Sir Kael was drawing a cross at his chest, looking devoutly praying for Prince Colin.

"Saint Sis above... please don't let the esteed Prince suffer the cold of the snowstorm, I'll send people to find him as soon as the snow outside lessens a bit!"
