This hard-won victory led all the surviving "Gray Man" to completely abandon the ethereal belief in Spirit, along with the so-called "Great rc".
They regarded the rise and fall of the "Ark of Redemption" as a costly and painful lesson, erecting monunts for the sacrificed ones.
The Divine is unreliable, and the Evil Spirit behind the Void is even less trustworthy; only the tools and knowledge held in hand are real and dependable.
They resolutely embarked on the path of "materialism," madly excavating the remnants of the Old World, repairing those forgotten machines, and continuing the research their ancestors halted out of arrogance.
Soon they discovered, although fossil fuel resources were depleted, there was still sothing else that could bring them endless energy...
That was the source of "light."
It was a secret they uncovered during battles with the Cultists.
Initially, they sought to expose the falsehoods about the Holy Light, but inadvertently discovered the essence of sunlight—a power akin to stars released from the reaction of two tiny particles!
Through the study of matter, they found a way to bring the brilliance of stars to the ground!
rk couldn't comprehend what kind of Magic it was, nor could he see it, for beyond the incomprehensible "horizon," there is no "viewpoint" to establish observation. He rely saw the flas boiling on the horizon at the mont a secret believer's faith collapsed.
Despair gradually filled rk's heart.
The world behind the 178th Void Realm was slowly slipping from his grasp, and this detachnt was all-encompassing, with consensus between the two worlds gradually disintegrating.
The Gray Man finally strode toward their own history, stepping onto a tiline where the Future was unknown.
On this tiline, there were no whispers of Ancient Gods or unpredictable Spells, replaced instead by a boundless universe.
The entire civilization's ideology had shifted.
In result, they seed to be becoming better, more united, and stronger.
Yet, this kind of "good" that the Gray Man relished seed to bear no significance to the Academic State far away in another world.
In the cold and lonely Mage Tower, rk horrifyingly discovered that the lens of the 178th Void Realm was becoming fainter and blurrier!
It was like an old photograph exposed to acid rain, with the blurry edges curling under the raindrops of ti.
"Quick! Quickly shut down the Magic Array!"
In a panic, rk issued the final command to avoid a complete collapse of the Void Realm, preventing further trouble for himself.
Before the last thread was severed, the assistants hastily cut off the Magic Power supply, freezing the scene in the Void Realm seemingly in the final second before collapse.
The light of the Void Realm dimd instantly.
The lens that once reflected the rise and fall of a civilization finally turned into a lifeless gray in a frantic rush.
Although the ti for the two civilizations eting has not yet co to an end, the day of departure seed not far away either.
"...It's over."
rk muttered to himself, despairing as he slumped into his chair.
"Resentful Spirit Charcoal" had completely beco a part of the history of the 178th Void Realm, although it was sothing inevitable, it happened under his watch.
He thoroughly botched the task Professor Arist entrusted to him...
