They finally realized why their leader didn't rush forward, but instead left the opportunity to them.

They couldn't comprehend the Demigod's strength and could only try to explain it using magic or illusion techniques.
Malaki, clutching his scimitar, was thoroughly despaired. At the mont the domain ford, he felt as if a voice from the void had vanished, gone into the invisible emptiness.

Actually, whether it was severed or not was no longer important; even Chaos could not save him from the Demigod's hand.

That was the last sentence Malaki heard.
Until the end, he never summoned the courage to grip his weapon and fight desperately, just like a pig waiting to be slaughtered, cut in half by Sword Qi that seed to cleave through space, then torn into fragnts smaller than shreds of at by an invisible force...
The battle ended as soon as it began.
As the domain dissipated, only Gunter remained in front of the church square, with those boastful soldiers seemingly vanishing, leaving not even a corpse behind.
He glanced back at the blood-stained cross, nodding slightly, then tore open a magic scroll and set fire to the pile of bloodied corpses, turning them to ashes.
After finishing everything, Gunter turned back, discovering that those hiding in the shadows, those starving people were staring at him in fear.
A trace of compassion flickered in his cold eyes, and he spoke in a raspy voice.
"It's over, you're free."
The square was silent, responding to him only with silence.
Gunter also didn't know what to say, sighed, and headed towards the town's exit.
He knew that this scar would probably take a long ti to heal, but it seed all he could do was cut off this rotten flesh to prevent everyone from being devoured.
At that mont, his gaze shifted slightly, suddenly noticing a familiar corpse hiding in the corner of the wall.
It was the old man he had encountered when he first entered the town.
A disheveled boy was crying beside the old man, seemingly a relative of the elder.
Gunter noticed the bread clutched under the elder's arm was gone, but clearly it wasn't the boy who ate it.
Perhaps the old man intended to leave the bread for his grandson, but in the mont it was seen, the bread was no longer theirs.
Gunter clenched his fist tightly, speaking in a deep voice.
"Who did it?"
The boy looked at him in fear, slowly raising his hand, his trembling index finger pointing towards a nearby alley.
A group of hungry people were huddling there, looking over in fear; so confessed their sins, while others regretted not strangling the boy as well.
Clearly, the bread wasn't eaten by one person.
Gunter looked at those hungry people, suddenly thinking about the old Grey Stone Town and those folks, so bold and cheerful.
They were much like the dwarves, especially their straightforward character and hearty drinking habits. But unlike the dwarves, they didn't hold grudges, they were all really good people.
They were clearly the sa group of people...
His clenched fists unconsciously relaxed, and Gunter looked at that small child, speaking softly.
"What's your na?"
"Julian..."
"Julian, would you like to learn swordsmanship?"
The boy didn't understand anything, but he nodded because he felt he couldn't survive there.
Those people had already eaten his grandfather, they would sooner or later eat him as well.
Gunter's emotionless face rarely showed a hint of a smile, and he extended his coarse big hand to ruffle that ssy hair.
