Suppressing the mixed thoughts in her mind, Erin quickly tidied her disheveled clothes and donned the familiar, cold armor once again.
The heft of the tal on her shoulders brought her a sliver of comfort.
Underneath the last piece of armor laid a well-crafted map and a brass compass.
On the map, a small circle drawn in red ink clearly marked her current location.
This ticulous care ford a bizarre contradiction with the demonic aura, deepening the suspicions in Erin's heart.
What on earth does this guy intend to do?
She couldn't comprehend it.
However, the priority now was not to uncover the truth, but to return to the ones who cared about her as soon as possible and to find out what was going on outside.
Erin stepped out of the cave, greeted by a tranquil Forest bathed in moonlight.
The night breeze caressed her face softly, and amidst the woods, she could faintly hear the chirping of insects and the rustling of leaves.
Taking a deep breath, Erin lifted the torch that she had taken down from the fire, using the map and compass to guide her towards the direction of the camp.
The night Forest was pitch-dark, and no matter how bright, the torch could only dispel shadows within five steps.
But for Erin Campbell, this was quite enough.
She walked through the Forest for quite so ti before her view finally broadened slightly, low shrubs and flatlands replacing dense woods and mounds.
In the distance, campfires and cooking smoke were faintly visible, and a winding stream andered through the woods, the gentle sound of flowing water replacing the cacophony of insect chatter.

She unbraided her hair coiled at the back of her head.
Raising her tremulous hands, Erin didn't splash her face with a handful of clear spring water but gently scooped up a lock of her own hair.
The delicate touch distinctly reminded her that what she saw was no illusion.
A blend of shock and bewildernt crossed her firm yet delicate face, leaving her speechless for a long ti.

After Erin had left the cave, he hadn't departed but silently followed her from behind until she reached this stream.

Gazing at the lone figure standing under the moonlight, Luo Yan remained silent for a long while before speaking slowly.

He had considered many possibilities, including laying all truths bare or leaving things be, only this plan seed most reliable.
She was undoubtedly strong, but letting her bear all truths at once would easily shatter even that strength.
Clearly, the na "Colin" had already been mythologized in her mind, becoming her lone spiritual pillar, engraved into the Light of Praise.
