Beyond the distant Void.
On a muddled red land, a middle-aged man with hands bound behind him knelt, his head drooping.
His face was ashen, his eyes vacant, and his mumbling lips seed to be cursing the Divine, questioning why He beca like this.
Why?
They were clearly victors...
Yet, Death ca knocking after they won everything.
The voice in the void did not answer, his thoughts interrupted by a righteous shout.
"ita!"
Upon hearing his na, the middle-aged man twitched as if shocked by electricity.
"I… I confess!"
Laughter erupted on the execution ground, while those outside remained silent, uncertain if they might end up there themselves.
As to why they were afraid, well, that's another matter altogether.
"Did I ask you?"
The middle-aged man hunched his shoulders, his lips quivering, yet unable to speak.
Perhaps finding his miserable appearance pitiful, the interrogator, though disdainful, showed a bit of sympathy, easing his tone sowhat.
"Alright, do you have anything else to confess?"
Though death could not be avoided, speaking out might ease the burden, so as not to beco a Fierce Ghost below.
However, the middle-aged man seed to misunderstand the intent, his hunger-driven emaciated body exploded with unimaginable Strength.
He desperately turned his head, trying to look at the man behind him and the audience within and outside the execution ground. With his mouth swollen beyond recognition, he uttered a muddled plea.
"I am innocent! At Eternal Night Port... I was gathering intelligence and funds for the army! Every act was for our family, General Grove can confirm, I am loyal!"
His nonsensical babbling drew ridicule.
This ti, not only did those on the execution ground laugh, but even those outside joined in.
"That stray dog is already dead," said the one who pronounced his fate, expressionless, "You won't see him again."
Dead...
The middle-aged man's face turned pale, as if drained of all Strength, as if soulless.
He finally stopped struggling.
A cold laugh ca from behind him, followed by the sound of a bullet chambering.
"Since you want to see Grove so badly, you might as well accompany that traitor down below."
Bam—!
A piercing gunshot rang out, and the man nad ita fell to the ground.
His eyes open wide even in death, etched the final and most vicious Curse into his slowly dispersing pupils.
'I curse you—'
'And all of you, along with your descendants!'
'You shall build Nest City in Urgos, and live like ants there, endlessly running like mice, persecuting each other in ignorance, repeating endless cycles in the insatiable gas! Forever!'
His Soul roared silently.
That resentnt even overshadowed the blood scent on the execution ground, chilling the Executioner's back, as if haunted by a Fierce Ghost.
ita didn't know who Urgos was, it was the only na he heard in his dying monts.
It seed to be a na.
The only True God who opened His eyes and lovingly responded to his Soul's query amidst his furious denunciation of fate's injustices, cursing Heaven's blindness.
'I will fulfill your wish.'
'My poor child.'
Hearing that promise from the void, ita's corpse shed moved tears of blood, as if seeing a true father.
Harboring the curse and hatred towards the entire world, his Soul finally broke free from that shattered flesh, embraced the will of Urgos, guided by Karma to another world...
However, awaiting him was not a blissful, embraced second life in the Exotic Realm.
Opening his eyes in terror, he found himself transford into a huge and fat mouse.
Though he was of the Mouse Clan People, he never expected to truly beco Ratn.
He straightened his three-ter-long body, glancing around in panic, finding himself amidst a far bloodier mountain of bones than the previous execution ground.
All around were similarly huge mice, stretching as far as the eye could see.
They feasted on bloated corpses, munching loudly, mouths full of blood, and fat.
ita despaired.
Trembling all over, wanting to return, yet couldn't find the way ho.
Worse, he could feel that his familiar family seed to be among these mice, glistening with oil from feasting, yet didn't know which one they might be...
ita recognized only one person.
Though that person bore a Human face, he resembled a mouse more than any other mouse here.
Is that... the patriarch?
No—
That guy should still be breathing, why did he beco Human?
He's the one who should be in Hell!
At this mont, the renowned "Grove" and "Gopal" bowed at that person's feet, as docile as big cats.
ita couldn't comprehend!
A second ago, he still believed in karma, now he doubted Heaven's fairness.
Clearly, he lacked physics knowledge, unaware that force is mutual, and so is karma in the void.
Yet people always see others' karma, but not their own.
Those who pushed him into the Nest City would inevitably go to theirs, yet he, cursing his compatriots to never reincarnate, obviously went to his Nest City, and even ahead of them.
