The deep and dark forest fell silent, all sounds fading away.
A giant sword as tall as a person had pierced through "Longbowman" Rees's chest, nailing him firmly to an ancient oak tree.
Blood flowed down along the sword and the trunk's grooves, pooling into a puddle on the ground.
Just a few minutes ago, this battle had been quite intense.
Rees, weaving through the forest, kept shooting arrows imbued with Chaos aura, trying to wear down the so-called Rock Sword Saint with terrain and distance.
Yet the reality was harsh; despite all his efforts, he could not defeat the "Thoughts of All," an embodint of righteousness gathered from countless hearts.
He couldn't even leave a scratch on that Sword Saint...
Rees spat out a mouthful of blood.
He reached out with a trembling hand, grasping the mountain-like resolute sword blade and sared his darkening blood onto it.
"Even as a ghost... I will not let you off..."
His venomous curse exhausted his entire strength. He glared at Gunter's face, and finally, the light faded from his eyes amidst boundless hatred.
Gunter's expression remained unchanged.
He rely gazed calmly at those gradually unfocused eyes before withdrawing his giant sword, sending off another soul lost in evil thoughts.
From a martial artist's perspective, Urgos's Divine Chosen seed weaker than Calmandes.
This guy, although breaking through to the Purple Crystal Level during the fight, did not impose as much pressure as the Ogre he saw outside Brass Pass.
As a Diamond Level Fla of Destruction Chosen, that guy at least succeeded in wounding him in battle.
Perhaps this also relates to Urgos's "preference" for disorganized masses.
However, Gunter did not let his guard down due to the victory in this duel, especially with the previous massacre in Griffin Cliff Territory's south still fresh in his mind.
Urgos's Divine Chosen may not be the strongest, but they often commit earth-shattering catastrophes.
And when things get to that point, even a Demigod Strongman would find it tricky...
Building order is a lengthy task.
But destroying it is all too easy.
Rees's body silently fell to the ground, Gunter flicked the blood off his sword and sheathed it on his back again.
He raised his head, looking towards the increasingly deep sky not far away, frowning slightly.
Sothing seems amiss.
Several Chaos Chosens had died by his hand, but if it were Brass Pass, even the most fervent Ogre Tribe would begin blowing the retreat bugle.
However, here was different, the corruption of Chaos not only did not weaken but instead grew stronger...

Atop the city walls, Baron Elaric, the Governor's face was pale, his lips trembled as he stared at the sea of flesh outside the city.
The knight beside him swallowed, forcing out words from his parched throat.
"What the hell... is this."
No one could answer him.
Elaric was also seeing such a blasphemous scene for the first ti, as if the end of the world had co upon him.
"Governor..." a young warrior looked at him, asking in a trembling voice, "What... should we do?"
Elaric didn't turn around, still staring at the writhing ocean outside the city, speaking in a hoarse voice.
"Hold the wall... until the last mont."
He didn't know if reinforcents would co or how long he could hold out.
But he knew he was the Governor of this city, the Baron ordained by Your Majesty, a child of Saint Sis, and the final barrier for the city's million soldiers and civilians.
Panic spread on the city walls.
Many soldiers had been fighting blood-soaked battles for days, their spirits nearing the brink of collapse.
And after witnessing this horrific scene, even the most determined faced an involuntary despair.
The despair was not only above the city walls, but also below.
If Nobles want to kill soone, they must go through legal procedures based on the person's status, while the Green Turbans kill purely at their discretion.
A city of a million would need at least a hundred thousand to die.
In the Twilight City cathedral, Count Thelon Gard knelt before the statue, his face full of remorse, but even more so, fear and despair.
"Saint Sis above... please forgive my sins, I... I mistook the Holy Daughter you sent for a Witch; it was my ignorance and arrogance that hard ."
He regretted indulging in pleasure and complacency, squandering his talent in Extraordinary Power, and also not running far enough when the flood arrived.
Unlike Kelan, who considered himself a righteous incarnation until death, Thelon admitted his stupidity and arrogance facing death, albeit slightly more frankly.
