At this mont, a well-dressed textile mill owner approached with a wine glass in hand, his humble tone carrying a hint of flattery.
"Honorable Mr. Sak, pardon my intrusion, but I noticed the fabric of your clothing seems... sowhat coarse? Have you ever considered our Thunder City's fine-spun cotton and velvet? They are as soft as clouds, and I bet you'll love them!"
Sak, hearing this, let out a hearty and loud laugh.
"Haha! You're right! Your fabric is indeed beyond praise! Where I'm from, only the Great Chief and the tribal high priest can enjoy such fine silk. You even use it to upholster chairs—what a waste!"
This remark made the textile mill owner's eyes light up imdiately, desperately wishing to invite Mr. Sak to his factory right away.
His warehouse has plenty of this stuff!
As long as the Lizardn of Gutaf Kingdom need it, the Campbell people can work overti to produce for them!
Yet before he could start his sales pitch, a boss from a chanical power plant working for the Andes Group squeezed in cautiously, probing into a more central issue with careful wording.
"I've heard your country possesses powerful steam technology, is that true?"
"Steam engines? Oh, you an those iron lumps that puff out white smoke all day."
Sak's interest visibly waned as he waved his hand nonchalantly.
"We use them to dig tunnels, mine, and even farm, and to haul goods... so run on water, so on land. They're very common; even children in our tribe can use the parts to make simple toys."
The chanical power plant boss gasped, unable to hide a look of envy on his face.
Even the children know how to make them?!
anwhile, the other rchants exchanged surprised glances.
They'd heard of mining steam engines, but what about those running on land and the farming ones?
In those few words, Sak had already sketched an imnsely alluring blueprint in the minds of the Campbell rchants—
It was a colossal kingdom with a robust industrial foundation and infinite resources.
Their technology was advanced, yet their spiritual world was barren, and the realm of consur goods and luxury was like a blank slate. Thus, the nobles there were eager to engage with the outside world. Gold was abundant, and they themselves were like walking gold mines!
The atmosphere in the lounge reached a peak.
Just as everyone in the lounge was breathless from the vast comrcial potential, the tightly closed double wooden doors were suddenly and respectfully opened by a servant.
The clamor in the lounge seed to pause, and everyone instinctively turned their heads to see Prince Colin standing at the door.
Prince Colin... he returned?!
When did this happen?!
Yet what shocked them even more was yet to co.
They saw the lion-hearted Sak Jifeng instantly spring up from the sofa upon seeing Prince Colin.
If not for Colin's gaze stopping him, everyone might have wondered if his next move would have been to kneel on one knee.
Whispered conversations spread through the lounge, as fiery glances moved back and forth between Sak and Colin, constantly shifting in expression.
Luo Yan, of course, knew what they were thinking, for he intentionally led them to think so.
His calm gaze swept across the room; Prince Colin gave a nod of acknowledgnt and smiled at the rchants who had risen to pay their respects.
Then, he fixed his gaze on Sak and succinctly said,
"Mr. Sak, please co with for a mont."
"Yes, Your Highness."
Sak hesitated not one bit as he respectfully responded, then quickly followed behind Colin as he turned to leave.
The two walked away until their figures completely vanished around the staircase corner, and the lounge returned to its noisy state.
Only this ti, along with the boisterous discussions, there was an undercurrent of uncontainable excitent.
"By Saint Si—what did I just see?"
"That esteed Mr. Sak, acting like a dutiful soldier before Prince Colin!"
"It's unbelievable, the mysterious and wealthy Colin family, what kind of vast power have they established on the Gana Continent!"
"Wait, did you notice His Highness's expression? I don't know if it's just , but he seed... a bit serious?"
"You're not the only one who saw it, I felt it too... it seems our Duchy is about to undergo so significant change!"
