Vivian's face flushed red as she reached out to knock on her head, yet was unaware of how much her reaction betrayed her true feelings.
Dodging the strike with ease, Heneviet giggled and continued teasing with winking eyes.
"Looks like I guessed right."
Vivian sighed and withdrew her fist.
"Alright... it's really not what you think, I just feel a bit sorry for soone."
She paused for a mont, then continued.
"Heneviet... do you think, regular demons really spend their whole lives unable to reach our starting point?"
Heneviet thought for a bit before replying.
"Not necessarily, if they encounter so miraculous adventure that pleases the divine, they could have a chance to beco a High-level Demon, it's just that the probability is quite small. Or else, they resort to underhanded thods, like becoming a Witch Demon and absorb other souls through an ascension ritual, but I heard the cost is hefty..."
At this point, Heneviet suddenly smiled brightly.
"Vivian doesn't need to worry though, your grandfather is of Demigod Level, right? With the Colin family's devotion to Lord Demon God, and you being the eldest daughter, you also have the potential to aim for Demigod status."
Hearing these words, Vivian's feelings beca even more complicated.
She suddenly realized that what she had taken from her big brother wasn't just the position of heir, but also an endless array of future possibilities.

Watching the Horror Demon standing obediently like a calf beside the table, Vivian nodded and responded offhandedly.

The senior Horror Demon unexpectedly gave Vivian a look, but it was like they were seeing a creature from Subspace.

The legendary Miss Colin was actually so approachable?
Although he had not dealt with this notorious witch before, just listening to those fantastical rumors was enough to make his Horror Demon legs quiver.

Seeing him still standing there unresponsive, Vivian slightly frowned.
"Is there anything else?"
"No, nothing more." The Horror Demon, as if awakening from a dream, shook his head and promptly turned to leave, fearing to stay a second longer.
Heneviet watched Vivian with a cheerful expression, then suddenly spoke.
"You really have changed quite a bit."
Vivian couldn't be bothered to explain, her face showing a helpless gesture.
"If you say so."

After lunch, Vivian parted with Heneviet and made her way alone to Professor Adonia's Magic Workshop.
It was a hemispherical building covered with glass curtain walls, the inside planted with various flowers and greenery like a greenhouse garden, highly distinct within the Demon City High Demon Academy that is otherwise characterized with granite and obsidian architecture.
It is said that the garden was built to replicate the environnt above ground, housing not only a variety of rare plants transplanted from the surface but even featuring the transitions of spring, sumr, autumn, and winter.
Vivian didn't quite understand Professor Adonia's aesthetic preferences, which were starkly different from the mainstream aesthetics of Hell, but she had grown accustod to view it over ti.
As she was walking towards the greenhouse, she suddenly noticed a crowd of demons of various shapes and colors gathered around the main entrance of the greenhouse.
The expressions on the faces of those demons were wonderfully diverse, so showing surprise, others excitent... and so with a mix of blatant jealousy or envy mixed into their whispers.
Just as Vivian was wondering what they were all gathering for, she spotted a familiar face amongst the crowd.
And in that mont, her body instantly stiffened, her pupils dilated, uncontrollable shudders ran through her, and her legs began to give way, almost collapsing to the ground—
Big, big brother?!
There stood Luo Yan!
But different from the Demon King she had seen the night before.
The man standing there now seed like a different person with the sa face, wearing a gentle smile that showed no hints of cold-bloodedness and ruthlessness.
Seeing him being so tender to others, Vivian suddenly felt an inexplicable wave of jealousy.
Although she knew it was her own fault, she couldn't help thinking that it should have been hers.
At that mont, a senior Enchanting Demon shyly approached, her eyes glinting with star-like admiration as she gazed at him.
