"Inconceivable."
Luo Yan looked around, watching the verdant woods and the birds flitting intermittently through the trees, his face was filled with awe.
"...She brought the scenery of the Surface World underground!?"
What astonished Luo Yan the most was not the beautiful scenes that t his eyes, but the entire greenhouse garden's do directly above him.
A sun was hanging in the middle of the curved glass wall, seemingly corresponding with noon.
Moreover, the soft glow did not appear to co from the glass wall but from the distant heavens, as though it was truly the sun.
The gentle rays passed through the overlapping leaves, casting mottled tree shadows on the ground, infusing the whole forest with vibrancy.
Not far away, a sika deer was observing him, seemingly blinking at him before its spirited gaze and agile figure vanished together into the depths of the forest.
In this mont, Luo Yan finally understood the source of the shock he felt upon initially entering this place.
The Demon King Academy also possessed similar botanical gardens, but the feeling they gave him was entirely different.
That place was like a dead specin.
While standing here, he could feel that everything around him was alive.
Stealing a glance at her brother standing beside her, Vivian took a deep breath and began in a tone as relaxed as possible.
"Professor Adonia often says that all the miracles we co across, whether it's magic, 'qi', or other types of Extraordinary Power, all originate from our consciousness – or to put it another way, sothing deep within our souls."
Luo Yan, pulling his gaze back from the depths of the forest, glanced at her.
"Sounds profound."
Vivian gave a bashful smile and said.
"What Professor Adonia researches is Magic World's most profound domain... about the soul and the spiritual entities within the Sea of Consciousness."
"Astonishing."
Luo Yan gave his assessnt, then continued with keen interest.
"So she simulated day and night here, raised various animals and plants, and established an artificial ecosystem...sothing like 'Biosphere No. 1'?"
"Ecosystem? Biosphere No. 1?" Vivian tilted her head, not quite understanding what her esteed brother was talking about, only feeling it was sothing impressive, "Maybe... I don't really understand what she's doing either. I only heard it ntioned in passing by Grandpa, that it's Lord Demon God's realm."
Lord Demon God's realm.
Luo Yan mulled over these words, trying to unravel them and analyze sothing useful.
Having learned the transmigrators' past, he always felt that this world's Divine beings seed to ultimately tread the sa path—
Naly, creating their own systems of Transcendent Power and then utilizing those miracles originating from themselves to create beings that are loyal to them.
It's like so sort of destiny.
From ancient tis so distant that no written record exists, through to the second epoch where Saint Sis and the Demon God were equals.
As Luo Yan was pondering a subject deeper than the origins of life, Vivian stole a glance at him.
"I wonder when Professor Adonia will co… Shall we sit down and wait?"
"Is there a place to sit?" Luo Yan looked around, but all he could see was a thriving jungle.
"Please follow ." After leaving those words, Vivian walked ahead, leading him to the area right in the center of the greenhouse garden.
This place resembled a park's rest area, complete with elegant tea tables and benches.
Luo Yan could sense a faint flow of Magic Power nearby, seemingly part of a Barrier preventing ordinary animals from approaching.
Without any hesitance, he took a seat at one end of the bench, while Vivian sat at the other end with restraint, but before long she inched a bit closer to him.
The little girl seed to be testing his reaction. Seeing that he did not object, she scooted closer again and, before long, she was sitting next to him, only two fist-widths apart.
Honestly, Luo Yan was sowhat perplexed by her behavior and wasn't sure what she was trying to do.
Similarly perplexed, Vivian too was unclear about what exactly she wanted to achieve; it was a purely subconscious action, wanting to know if he disliked her.
So far, it seed not.
She felt sowhat relieved.
As she was contemplating whether to say sothing, her brother's voice ca from beside her.
"Did you inherit your mother's eyes?"
"Yes, yes!"
"They're beautiful."
"Tha-Thank you!" Vivian's face flushed with a red that ascended from her fair neck to her ears.
For a Vampire, such high blood pressure is indeed rare. But for Miss Colin, this was already the second ti today.
A smug smile crept onto her lips, yet she felt it was inappropriate, so she tried to suppress it. However, try as she might, she couldn't succeed.
Looking at the restless and shifty-eyed Vivian, Luo Yan found it amusing and responded half-jokingly.
"You're welco."
"..."
The conversation stalled again.
The atmosphere between them was subtly awkward.
Vivian had thought he would ask her how her injury was healing, but he hadn't ntioned it at all, as if nothing had happened.
Was it to avoid awkwardness?
Or for so other reason...
What she really wanted to know was whether he still held a grudge against her, yet she didn't know how to broach the subject.
