Why not just build an "internship base" near the Outpost Fortress on Kao Planet?
For example, send newly recruited Acolytes there for two years of intense training before rotating them with another batch of newcors...
This plan seems feasible!
As Luo Yan was seriously contemplating this idea, a sudden new thought popped into his mind—
What if the Acolytes dispatched to Kao Planet didn't just devote themselves to prayer but also managed to convert the native Kao people into his own believers?
This idea sounded like a wild fantasy, but thinking it over carefully, it didn't seem entirely impossible.
Especially since Luo Yan quickly recalled a recent update on the forum post by the Players, which ntioned that the Kao people do not reproduce through traditional thods but instead grow out of mushrooms.
The Kao people's tribes often patrol the Mushroom Forest, retrieving the young sprouts they find, bringing them back to the tribe to be raised, where they undergo a process of indoctrination, turning them into mindless killing machines and loyal servants of "Fla of Destruction" Calmandes.
If there were so way to influence the mushrooms on Kao Planet and modify the genes of the Kao people, perhaps it would be possible to assimilate the planet's indigenous population!
The more Luo Yan thought about it, the more promising it seed.
At the very least, it was an idea worth pursuing!
If successful, not only could the corruption of the Great Graveyard spread further into the heart of Chaos, but it might also lower the Players' resurrection costs!
"Youyou, could you please send a ssage to Terrell, the chief of the Gray Wind Tribe? I'd like to discuss sothing with him and Gray Wind... about the plan to establish a research station targeting the Kao people on the fifth layer of the Maze. I might need their cooperation."
"No problem! Lord Demon King, I'll take care of it for you right away."
Youyou's response was as reliable as ever, filled with enthusiasm.
When it ca to expanding the Power of Faith, it was more eager than anyone else—so eager, in fact, that even Luo Yan himself couldn't compare.
Luo Yan closed the projected window on the stone stele and was about to conclude his ditation and exit the Sea of Consciousness when not even two seconds after leaving, Youyou suddenly floated back to his side.
"Oh right, Lord Demon King, have you forgotten? There's still a Desperate City on the tenth layer of the Maze, where nearly a hundred thousand Demons and Demonkind reside. If you could replace the Demon God Statue there with one of your own statues, wouldn't that solve your concerns about the growth of the Power of Faith?"
As Youyou spoke, the greed in its tone was almost palpable—if it even had a mouth to drool with, that is.
Luo Yan wasn't surprised by the question. He answered without hesitation.
"I haven't forgotten about that place. In fact, our Acolytes have already been sent there to spread the faith, but progress has been slow. The Demons and Demonkind there have only recently submitted, and their faith still centers on Demon God Bayele. We can only subtly and gradually change their beliefs—placing our statue next to the Demon God Statue when the ti is right. Acting too rashly will only backfire."
It wasn't just Desperate City.
Even the Blood Blade Clan held potential for expanding the Power of Faith, and Luo Yan had never forgotten that. However, his approach had been relatively cautious.
After all, this prize was already in his grasp. As long as he didn't make any overly absurd moves, there was no way he could lose it.
Still, Youyou's reminder gave him an idea.
It had been nearly a month since the Four Demon Generals pledged their loyalty to him. During that ti, he'd been so focused on managing the internal affairs of the Great Graveyard that he hadn't had a chance to visit his vassals' territories.
Now that his current tasks were finally wrapping up, perhaps it was ti to pay a visit to his loyal Desperate City and bask in the cheers and reverence of its residents...
