Before he could finish speaking, he was interrupted by those two oblivious guys.

"It's not about the money!"

"Exactly! This is about fairness!"

The two goblins exchanged glances, both unwilling to back down or concede.

Snick cleared his throat and continued, "According to my community managent regulations, ownership of the food should be decided by whoever made the first move."

"Ha! Did you hear that?" one of the goblins imdiately put his hands on his hips, "I picked up the mouse first!"

"Wrong!" the other goblin was equally unwilling to concede, "I reached out first! He was just a step quicker!"

These kinds of things happened frequently.

Snick sighed, then flipped open a "docunt" he had beside him—it was entirely doodles, purely for show.

"How about this, you guys split it in half."

"What?!"

"You guys fought so fiercely, which shows neither of you wants to lose. So let's be fair, split it in half, and neither of you say more."

The goblins widened their eyes, looking at Snick's "this is the final judgnt" expression. While they felt a bit resentful, since Snick was now an "official," personally promoted by Lord Demon King, they reluctantly accepted it in the end.

Moreover, that docunt looked like it had been personally signed by Lord Demon King. It wouldn't do to escalate such a trivial matter to him.

"Alright then..."

"You're tough."

Snick cheerfully watched the two angry goblins storm out the door, humming a little tune as he made a note in symbols only he could understand on his grease-stained little notebook—

[Two goblins fighting over a roasted mouse. Resolution: split in half.]

"...Poor guys, fighting over even a mouse, tsk tsk tsk."

With a stroke of his little pen, the first "neighborhood committee case" was smoothly resolved.

While it couldn't be called fair, it was better than letting them bash each other's brains out.

They are, after all, Lord Demon King's valuable workforce, they can't be wasted on a dead mouse.

Snick felt a smug sense of loyalty and was moved by his own commitnt.

Although he had only been on the job for one day, he had already fully embraced his identity as the Demon King's minion.

He now belonged to the Demon King!

In the midst of that nonsensical quarrel, the day quickly passed, and the lights atop the factory gradually extinguished, signaling that Black Wind Castle was about to enter the night.

Just as Snick was humming his off-key tune and getting ready to close the door of his "office"—a flipped-over wagon—urgent footsteps ca from the muddy alley.

"Boss! Boss!"

A short goblin ca running over with a shiny string of snot hanging under his nose, which was impossible to ignore. He ran so fast he even flung so of it off.

Snick frowned slightly, stepping back with so disdain, "Sniffles, what is it now?"

This guy nad Sniffles licked his chapped lips, eyes full of flattery and expectancy, mixed with a hint of jealousy, and said, "Boss, while and the guys were strolling around—cough, I an patrolling, we found so suspicious ones!"

"Oh?" Snick's interest was piqued, he raised his eyebrows, giving this scruffy minion another look.

Sniffles looked around to make sure no one was eavesdropping, then leaned in and lowered his voice, "They don't work! And they have no worries about food or clothing! All day they're mysteriously managing to hang out where there are lots of goblins, or they're in the tavern drinking all day, and they never steal or show off!"

Snick's eyelid twitched.

Not working and not worried about food or clothing, that's one thing, but not stealing, not showing off? Are they really goblins?!

No doubt about it, they must be plotting sothing big!

Sniffles, with a look of jealousy on his face, continued to press his point.

"Boss, only those with positions can live such a carefree life. Tell , why can a bunch of goblins that popped out of nowhere live as carefree as we do? Is this reasonable? This is unreasonable!"

"Makes sense, let think about it."

Snick 'hissed,' instinctively scratching his chin, while his cunning mind began to ponder.

Normally, a goblin finding a piece of scrap tal would polish it to shine for a day. If they can't snatch it, they'd steal it, if they can't steal, they'd scam, if they can't scam, they'd cry... where do you find ones this low-key?

It's indeed too unusual!

Recalling Lord Demon King's teachings, a flash of cleverness crossed Snick's eyes.

"There's sothing fishy... okay, let's first figure out their situation."

He lowered his voice, his tone leaving no room for argunt.

"You take a few brothers and tail them, see who they et every day, where they live, what they're doing, where they hang around... Rember! Don't alert them, just mark them down!"

Sniffles grinned, revealing uneven fangs, rubbing his hands together excitedly, "Don't worry, Boss, I'll dig up eighteen generations of their ancestors for you!"

"No need for that, just find out the people behind them."

Snick nodded in satisfaction, his eyes gazing towards the distance.

He was just worried about not having a chance to prove himself in front of Lord Demon King.

And look.

Opportunity for rit practically delivered itself!
