The chips piled up on the gambling table were getting higher and higher, and the demons who were originally uninvolved were forced to join the ga. Just then, an inconspicuous small boat approached Seldo Port.

Standing at the bow, Lumier gazed at Seldo Port, his furrowed brows like knots on a sailboat.

A little over a month ago, he had embarked on a mission ordered by the Demon King, steering the ship carrying the dreams of Thunder City's residents out of the Vortex Sea, heading toward the Western Vast Ocean to explore the territory of the non-existent Colin family.

Over this month, the wind and sun had not only tanned his skin but had also transford him from a young man who had only piloted a fishing boat into an experienced captain.

As he fumbled with the tricks of navigation, he was heading towards deep waters when suddenly, during a routine communication, he received an order from Lord Demon King to make a detour to Seldo Port and understand the situation there.

To be honest, he wasn't exactly on route.

But, based on his loyalty to Lord Demon King, he decisively changed direction without hesitation.

As the distant port ca into view, his brows furrowed deeper and deeper, and he couldn't help but smirk.

"Looks like things here are worse than expected."

The dock was still marked with charred traces, and the port's warehouses were almost razed to the ground by war.

A few dilapidated ships lay at the shore, like stranded whales, barely surviving amidst decay.

And the wreckage subrged under the harbor, who knows how much there is.

As described in the letter, the entire port had been destroyed by war, and before the ocean currents swept away the sunken ships near the port, larger ships almost couldn't dock.

Just as well, his big ship couldn't dock either.

After all, the ship was filled with corpse ghosts, and the perfu used to disguise their identities was limited.

Putting down the monocular in his hands, Lumier called out to the two corpse ghost sailors beside him.

"Push harder, move quicker!"

The corpse ghost sailors remained silent, but noticeably quickened their rowing, urging the small boat toward the port.

The small boat slowly approached the port.

Lumier tied the rope to a post on the dock and looked towards the approaching Imperial Guard in the distance.

The man with unevenly trimd beard carried a firearm on his back, shouting loudly at him.

"Who are you? What are you doing here?"

"As you see, I am the captain of the ship behind ,"

Lumier gestured with his chin at the silhouette of the ship behind him, then flicked his thumb to discreetly send a silver coin into the Imperial Guard's hand.

"May I replenish so supplies? My ship is short on fresh water, we'll leave as soon as we buy so."

Catching the silver coin and tucking it away quickly, the guard instantly smiled with delight, but still sternly admonished.

"Behave at the port! Don't cause trouble!"

After saying this, he waved his hand, signaling a pass.

Lumier tipped his hat in acknowledgnt, then brought the two rowing corpse ghost servants ashore, weaving through scattered pedestrians, heading towards the tavern at the edge of the port.

Currently, only one tavern at the port was still operating, with its shabby sign and charred door seemingly speaking of its past experiences.

Lumier went straight forward and gently pushed the door open.

Although it was dayti, the tavern was still gathered with quite a few idlers.

"A glass of rum, and two glasses of water for my friends."

Walking to the bar, he looked at the bartender sitting behind it and casually tossed a silver coin onto the table.

The taciturn bartender nodded, took out a sowhat aged bottle of rum, and poured him a drink.

Lumier picked up the glass and swirled it, gesturing to his companions to sit aside, his gaze inadvertently surveying the tavern's hall.

The people gathered here included rchants, sailors, and citizens who had survived calamity, but mostly were Imperial Soldiers.

Due to recently experiencing a victory, these soldiers' faces were filled with excitent, unabashedly discussing their "glorious exploits."

Lumier recalled Lord Demon King's instructions and quietly took out a Recording Crystal, placing it gently beside the wine glass.

At this mont, the entire Seldo Port was imrsed in the miraculous epic victory, their guard completely let down, leaving no one noticing his actions.

Ti ticked by second by second, Lumier waited patiently, until a hearty laugh rang from the corner of the tavern.

"Hahaha, let tell you, the battle that day was more of a miracle bestowed by Saint Sis than General Hamoldon's military genius!"

Lumier subtly glanced sideways, noticing the speaker was a young Imperial soldier.

His body donned a standard leather armor, bearing the emblem of the Griffin Knights, looking like a knight's squire.

This fellow had been drinking quite a lot by midday, presumably on holiday. He banged the table while elaborating with his companions the details of the battlefield.

"Who's that guy?" Lumier asked with piqued interest, raising an eyebrow as he looked at the bartender behind the bar.

The bartender glanced at the table's tip, silently stashing it away into his bosom, and replied in a casual tone.

"Lord Kadwell's squire, na's probably Jimmy or Kumi, terrible drinker, mouth doesn't stay shut... He's only a bit more restrained when Lord Kadwell is by his side."
