The rift in the sky was transforming into a vortex that devoured everything, shredding torn clouds. Amidst the ruins of Assam City, increasingly intense gales howled as if about to sweep away the entire avenue.
Luo Yan looked at the eggshell in his arms. Suddenly moved, he shook out the Magic Wand from his sleeve.
"Atmospheric Barrier!"
A milky-white gas sphere ford a protective shield, enveloping the area ten ters around him, and the grass swaying chaotically in the stone crevices instantly straightened.
The restless air quieted instantly, and at that precise mont, a crisp "crack" sounded from his arms.
The eggshell shattered.
A crack appeared on the surface of the dragon egg that had been warm in Luo Yan's palm for a long ti.
Soon, a dragon's claw, slightly slimy, slowly reached out, possessing the soft quality of a newborn creature, yet remarkably emanating an undeniable aura of majesty.
However, that sense of majesty didn't last long, breaking apart as a panicked, soft whimper echoed before Alakdo's eight legs could begin trembling.
"No… How is this possible! How could I… beco like this?!"
It has arrived.
Anticipation flickered in Luo Yan's eyes, and Youyou leaned in directly, excitedly watching the gradually cracking eggshell, adding fuel to the flas.
"Quick! Push harder!"
A delicate pink baby dragon finally crawled out through the eggshell cracks with difficulty, resembling a plucked parrot.
Staring at its two paws, it gradually realized sothing, then reached under its armpit, finding the drooping "chicken wings" on its back, and its bronze eyes instantly filled with despair.
Pain.
That look truly conveyed pain.
"Puhahaha!" Watching its comical appearance, Youyou laughed uncontrollably and insensitively.
A drip of egg liquid rolled along the edge of the eggshell, landed on Alakdo's head, and slid into its mouth.
The fat spider slurped up a mouthful.
The taste wasn't bad?
Luo Yan didn't gloat like Youyou; instead, he ticulously observed it, comparing it to illustrations of baby dragons he had once seen in the library.
And at that mont, the esteed "Dragon God" finally cleaned the egg liquid from its eyes, opened its not-yet-fully-developed big eyes, and locked eyes with Luo Yan.
In an instant, the whole dragon stiffened, as if suddenly reacting, pupils contracted sharply, and it angrily spoke.
"What are you?! Why are you here?! Dumbass, how did you get in!"
Its voice still carried a hint of baby tone, yet it forcibly squeezed out a haughty deanor, and this ti even Luo Yan couldn't hold back his laughter.
"You guess."
"I guess you@#%!"
Its mouth spewed out so incomprehensible Dragon Language. Clinging to the edge of the eggshell, it attempted to crawl out, but accidentally broke off a piece and fell back in with a thud.
Originally, Luo Yan hadn't held it too firmly, instinctively withdrawing his hand when he saw the oozing egg liquid.
Thus, Gutaf, dazed from the fall, together with the half-broken eggshell, landed atop Alakdo's head and rolled to the ground, like a deflated basketball.
Luo Yan watched its tail dangling on the eggshell's edge, montarily unsure what expression to make.
Speaking of which, the Dragon Clan truly is tough.
If it were a human infant, this fall might have been fatal.
Youyou approached him and whispered.
"It seems to have no mory of its ti inside the eggshell... but surprisingly rembers things before becoming an egg."
"Yes, it is indeed quite interesting," Luo Yan nodded, speaking ambiguously.
Perhaps the warmth of the eggshell was rely an unconscious reaction of the soul to external stimuli?
"... Lord Demon King."
Alakdo's low, sticky voice echoed suitably, insidiously speaking.
"I can tell this thing is no good; why not hand it over to your most loyal subordinate, , to deal with?"
Saying this, the large-bodied cave giant spider slowly advanced, its legs clicking as they drew near, saliva almost dribbling from its mouth as it closed in on Gutaf, lying sprawled upside-down.
Only then did Gutaf truly co to his senses, finally realizing not only was there a "God Usurper" around, but an actual live spider was staring intently at him with six eyes.
Its whole dragon montarily froze, turning pale. Especially upon seeing those eight hairy legs and huge spider eyes, its tail quivered involuntarily.
"Holy, holy crap?"
What is this?!
Could it be...
The gene pool has leaked?!
Suddenly aware of a possibility, its complexion beca increasingly terrified.
A strong ominous premonition surged in its heart.
Could it be these Otherworld creatures have broken through species limitations, achieving cross-species gene transfer?!
This is a huge problem...
Imagining that it may shoulder the cri of "creating a devastating ecological disaster," Gutaf turned paler, like a cat dunked in icy water.
Luo Yan knew roughly what it feared but felt its worry was purely unnecessary.
Does a war criminal lack this sort of guilty hat?
Besides, this isn't helping communication.
Watching Gutaf panic on its own, Luo Yan calmly spoke, offering a reassurance.
"Don't be agitated. This world manifests spiritual energy, and your little gene contribution is just for show, not as impactful as the locals' own vivid imagination."
Gutaf slightly froze.
"Oh, right..."
It instinctively replied but suddenly thought of sothing, tore off the eggshell, and jumped up, eyes sharp as arrows, aid at Luo Yan.
