The shockwave that appeared when the beast’s arms slamd into the ground, sent him tumbling backwards before coming to a sliding stop.

He grunted, raised his weapon once more and with a courageous roar, charged forwards.

The beast raised its arms and with a swing they ca crashing down, Resven anticipated the attack and with a quick motion, he moved to the side, keeping his montum as he charged.

The strike missed and Resven knew he had little ti to strike. He changed his direction, heading for a broken tree lying slightly angled to the right of the ape-like creature. Running on the base he used the angle to jump onto a tree to boost him further, changing his direction.

With the sudden change in movent, he leapt almost 9 feet high, his hamr swinging in motion as he turned his whole body aiming for the beast’s head.

The creature caught off guard by the sudden change of direction tried raising its guard, wanting to block the incoming attack but it moved too slowly and the mighty steel hamr ca crashing into the side of his temple.

Bang!

A loud sound echoed through the forest as the beast ca crashing down onto the floor. Resven landed as gracefully as he could without taking too much of a tumble himself.

Resven huffed slightly as he began walking to the beast, the strike would most likely not have been enough to kill the beast completely thus he made sure to quickly give a finishing blow.

His thoughts proved to be right, as just as he was about to raise his hamr, the beast started to move once more. Alerted, he hurriedly raised his weapon and it ca crashing down into the face of the beast.

A heart wrenching cry chased any chance of lingering beasts away as it continued to echo for a few more seconds before it was cut off abruptly.

Resven leaned against one of the trees, catching his breath. Luckily for him he had not sustained much injuries except for muscle soreness from sudden exertion.

"Ocen’s grave! This bloody beast could have killed if i was a bit slower"

He cursed and spat at the corpse. Resting a few seconds longer, he stood up from leaning against the trees with a groan.

"I should probably move on, don’t want more of these things co clobbering at "

Resting his weapons on his back, he turned to the beast, and grabbed his short dagger from the side and with a few quick movents, he removed the two long fangs of the beast.

"This should probably fetch a pretty penny aye"

With a soft hum the man went on his way towards the city once.

anwhile, back at the cabin, both Bramm and stin were busy expanding the area. Bramm had chosen an area a few hundred feet away from his cabin, almost a few feet away from the gate of the fence.

He and stin were building a new cabin and while the progress was slow, it was far faster with the help of stin, who Bramm found to be quite the handyman. stin was strong for soone of his ink and helpful with the building of the cabin, yet the man had said little in the way of anything except give a few grunts and nods in response to anything.

[Battle Log Updated]

Bramm was in the middle of hauling another log up when the screen flashed before him. Surprised and confused, Bramm quickly opened the notification.

[Slayer: Resven Longsteed]

[Target: Light Red Moss Ape]

[Renown: 50]

[Experience: 50/150]

’Resven killed a Moss ape?’

Seeing the info, Bramm could not help thinking of the giant apes he had run into a few years back. They were quite a difficult foe to face due to their fast reflexes and iron oak-like hide.

"Damn, I sent him to go seek info yet the man goes and kills one Moss ape" Bramm’s laughter rumbled like thunder.

It took a while before his laughter died out and he revisited the information, particularly the renown, ’If he goes and kills another 3 then I would be able to summon another warrior’ his mind raced.

The forest was filled with creatures and beasts of various strengths, most were common beasts but Primal beasts were as well. Especially the low rung Red tier beasts.

"stin!"

The large hulking man was busy setting another log onto the cabin when Bramm’s voice called out. He laid down his log and walked towards his Mormaer.

As the man approached, Bramm took him in with a scrutinizing gaze. Bramm was a large man himself yet he was a head shorter than the mountain before him, stin had large broad shoulders, dark brown locks of hair and a well grown beard.

"In the forest are various different Primal beasts, I want you to scout the area. If you can kill a few light red primals that would be even better, but i need a lay of the land in detail please. You think you can do it?"

stin, saluted with his hand over his chest and his deep rumbling voice rang in Bramm’s ears, "The will of the Mormaer shall be done"

Leaving his words to ring in the silence that followed, stin disappeared beyond the fence and into the forest.

"What an incredibly deep voice" Bramm wondered in astonishnt, taken aback by the simpleness that seed to be stin Longdale.

’Hopefully he can kill a few more primals then they would welco another brother’ Bramm smiled with anticipation flickering in his eyes. The future looked appealing and bright!

***

Resven had finally trekked down the mountain and stood before the gates of the great city called Dun-Shatter. The main gates are built into one of the cliffsides and just beyond this piece of rock he would find the bustling city.

Taking a deep breath, the man started moving slowly.

Guards were standing watch at the gates, scrutinizing the visitors as they ca and went. Tower shields and large one handed axes at their size the n were quite imposing. They wore the white and sky blue colors of House Morvayn, the ruling house.
