Boss Li, who was left with only a few houses, discovered that his wife had co up with another move. Because he was at fault, the children stayed with his ex-wife, and she demanded a lump sum alimony, aning Boss Li had to hand over those few houses as well!
There was no way Boss Li would agree. He lived in one of the houses himself, while the others were rented out. Why should he give them to his ex-wife just because being a landlord is a good gig?
But Boss Li had no ti to react. After refusing his ex-wife’s demands, a court summons unexpectedly arrived one day.
Unsurprisingly, Boss Li lost the lawsuit.
Divorced, with the kids staying with the ex-wife, the money that should have been divided went to the ex-wife because he was at fault and mishandled the joint property. Thus, all the money and houses belonged to her.
Boss Li’s life has been one of ups and downs.
From being a penniless man to building an empire, he was thrown back to his original state, becoming penniless once more.
Now, his concern was where to stay tonight.
No money, no house, and not even a place to rest!
Rembering that the house Jiang Jingjing lived in was purchased with his own money, Boss Li swaggered over there.
He knocked on the door for a long ti, but no one answered, instead attracting a neighbor who ca out and said, "They moved out, the house is up for sale."
"Who allowed her to put it up for sale!" Boss Li shouted.
The neighbor was startled.
Boss Li glared at the neighbor, "This is my phone number. If she cos back, give a call."
The neighbor was dumbfounded, wondering what this young man ant.
Out of kindness, he had co out to tell him the house next door was unoccupied so he wouldn’t waste ti knocking, and yet he gets glared at—talk about biting the hand that feeds you. Even worse, the tone sounded as if he was ordering a subordinate to do sothing. Why should he, why give this foolish young man a call?
As Boss Li walked downstairs, the neighbor crushed the postcard in his hand and tossed it into the trash can by the door.
Once again, Boss Li was faced with a dilemma: Where to stay tonight?
After searching all his pockets, he found so small change, all crumpled and worn.
He couldn’t rember why there was change in the pocket of this jacket.
After thinking for a while, he finally recalled.
Jiang Jingjing wanted to see the lanterns, so he took her to the lantern festival. There was a stall selling rabbit lanterns, and Jiang Jingjing found them cute and lively, so she wanted one. However, he planned to pay by card or QR code, but the elderly owner refused.
The old man was busy crafting new rabbit lanterns, and in a spare mont, he looked up and told him he could go next door to scan a QR code for paynt.
So he went next door, scanned the code and paid, and the stall owner gave him cash. It was mostly small denominations from the day’s earnings.
After selling the rabbit lanterns, he was left with so extra money, which he casually put into his pocket. This was the jacket he wore to the festival with Jiang Jingjing.
Using this money, he found a guesthouse, negotiated with them, and finally settled on staying for five days, but he had to leave over the weekend.
Boss Li’s misfortunes had nothing to do with "let’s open a restaurant together." From the mont he withdrew his investnt, there was no connection. The director finally found a replacent for Jiang Jingjing after she was kicked out.
It was a Little Handso Guy fresh off a talent show.
At just sixteen, Little Handso Guy was in the pri of his life.
