Having served over a hundred guests, not only were the chefs feeling sore from all the cooking, but even the servers were exhausted.
In the restaurant business, staff either eat before the rush or after it.
Today, because of the unexpected influx of guests, the team hadn’t eaten yet. Little Taotie waved a hand grandly: "Cook up so great dishes, today we’re feasting!"
The chef who loves gaming asked quietly: "Can we have seafood?"
Little Taotie waved her hand generously: "Go ahead!"
The cashier said: "We haven’t made much, we’re going to eat ourselves out of business!"
Little Taotie giggled: "We’ve made plenty! One al won’t hurt, and it’s all from our own place, just at the cost price, it doesn’t cost much."
The cashier rubbed her nose and stopped saying anything.
The chef who loves gaming grabbed two crabs to prepare a crab with rice cake dish.
The Head Chef glanced over, noticing he had taken the two plumpest ones, and said with mock irritation: "You really don’t hold back!"
Chef Xu grinned: "Anyway, those demolition team guys never order this dish, it’s just waiting to perish in the kitchen, might as well be eaten by us!"
The demolition team people find eating crab troubleso and ti-consuming, so they mostly order straightforward dishes, not ones that require extra effort.
The Head Chef thought it made sense and didn’t say anything more, since it’s sothing the young boss agreed to, and it wasn’t worth worrying about.
Twelve employees, plus Little Taotie and the caraman, made up fourteen people, who combined two tables into a large one, and sat around it with a whole spread of dishes.
Though Little Taotie called for a feast, the table had only the crab with rice cake as an expensive dish, the rest were simple stir-fries, mostly chosen by the Head Chef.
If billed at restaurant prices, the spread wouldn’t exceed six hundred.
At cost, it would be just over two hundred.
Little Taotie glanced over, understanding, and just urged everyone to start eating.
After the rush, having served over a hundred guests, they were actually quite hungry and began to devour their al.
The caraman ate his al, still carrying the cara to capture a few more shots, like how Little Taotie and everyone are joyously dining, with smiles on the faces of the young boss and her staff, a mont worth filming.
After eating, Chef Xu noticed Little Taotie glancing at him, caught her eye, grinned awkwardly, and asked, "Can I play gas?"
After the rush, it’s break ti anyway, Little Taotie waved her hand: "You’re allowed to play for a bit."
Chef Xu happily took out his phone, diving into his ga.
The Head Chef, a lifelong learner, was engrossed in a gourt magazine, wearing reading glasses, completely absorbed.
The chubby guy was getting sleepy, intending to nap at the table, but Little Taotie stopped him: "You can sleep, but not in the dining area, and definitely don’t drool on the table!"
Recalling the awkward scene from their first eting, the chubby guy instinctively wiped his mouth, "Alright, I’ll go nap in the warehouse."
Little Taotie thought she should provide them with a lounge room. After the intense effort during rush hours, it’s really ti for so rest, so they can be refreshed for the next rush.
The young lady walked to the warehouse and discovered it was large and empty, just storing so rice, oil, and dry goods. Most ingredients were still in the kitchen’s fridge and freezers; not much use for this space.
Little Taotie was already planning how to transform the warehouse in her mind.
