In the dead of night, the Ghost floated out of the Horse-Faced Bell. Her form beca increasingly solid as her cultivation improved. Little Taotie handed her Chen Laohu’s address.
The Ghost Sister gently patted Little Taotie’s head: "What are you worrying about?"
Little Taotie hesitated for a mont, then shared what she had found to be amiss.
She had learned many skills in the Special Departnt, such as observing subtle facial expressions and hand movents.
She noticed that the first ti Tiger Sister got in the car saying she was going to buy spicy hot pot, the second ti she got in she just left it, and the third ti she ca back and frowned when opening it, seed like different people.
She suspected that Tiger Sister might be possessed by sothing, perhaps so lingering spiritual remnants.
"I didn’t sll any Yin Qi on her," Feng Qi said, flicking his large tail.
Seeing her ntor suddenly appear, the Ghost Sister was about to bow, but Feng Qi leapt onto her shoulder and gently patted her with his paw: "Don’t bow, I don’t like it. You’re so troubleso, you’re making regret taking you as my disciple."
Hearing this, the Ghost Sister dared not bow again, only called out: "Master."
"Good disciple, go explore that tiger’s dream and see what exactly is going on."
"Yes, I’m going right away."
With the address, the Ghost drifted away with the wind, her form flickering in and out of sight in the night, disappearing within monts over several kiloters.
Feng Qi yawned: "Aren’t you going to sleep yet?"
Little Taotie struggled to stay awake, though her eyelids were already at odds: "I’m waiting for the Ghost Sister to co back."
Feng Qi tapped her forehead with his large tail, but it just passed right through.
"What are you worrying about at such a young age? Go to sleep, I’ll wake you up when she returns. No need to wait around, who knows how long it’ll be."
Little Taotie felt sowhat persuaded, looked out the window: "Seems like a long wait."
"Of course! Go to sleep soon."
Little Taotie nodded, climbed into bed, and before closing her eyes, reminded him: "Rember to wake up, don’t forget!"
Feng Qi yawned: "Got it, got it, such a trivial thing."
Only then did Little Taotie close her eyes with peace of mind and quickly fell asleep.
Seeing her asleep, Feng Qi also lay down next to her and fell asleep as well.
Her spiritual body slumbered for a long ti, and when the Ghost returned, she found her master and Little Taotie both asleep. She didn’t unexpectedly wake them, instead quietly waiting.
At dawn, Little Taotie woke up, the sunlight a bit blinding.
The little girl sat up suddenly, waking Feng Qi as well: "What’s wrong?"
Little Taotie looked at Feng Qi, then the Ghost Sister, and angrily said: "Didn’t you say you’d wake up?"
Feng Qi: "..."
Oops, forgot!
But Feng Qi didn’t panic, smilingly said: "She just returned, I was just about to wake you up. Who’d have thought, such a coincidence, you woke up yourself."
Little Taotie huffed: "You’re lying, you were clearly asleep, I saw you sleeping soundly when I woke up!"
Feng Qi stuck out his tongue innocently: "I’m a spiritual body, why would I need to sleep? You must have seen wrong, definitely saw wrong!"
Little Taotie was even more upset: "I wasn’t wrong, you were clearly asleep, snoring even with your eyes closed!"
Feng Qi retorted, annoyed: "I don’t snore, don’t tarnish my reputation!"
