Amidst the playful banter between Little Taotie and Tao Bin, the family returned to the villa.
The nanny had already prepared a sumptuous dinner, but she was dressed very prettily, as if she’d been waiting at the door, ready to go out as soon as they got back.
Little Taotie looked up at the much younger and prettier Ghost, and asked in puzzlent, "Auntie, are you going out? Aren’t you having dinner with us?"
The nanny squatted down, and a fragrant breeze wafted over. Little Taotie sniffed and in a soft baby voice said, "Auntie slls nice!"
The nanny blushed and coughed lightly, "I... I have a date."
Cheng Guodong and Qin Xin exchanged a glance and raised their eyebrows at each other.
Gu Yixing: "I sll the sour stench of romance."
Tao Bin was surprised, "Isn’t Auntie married?"
Gu Yixing lowered his voice, "She’s single now."
Maybe she’s widowed, maybe divorced, but it wouldn’t have been a happy event. Tao Bin didn’t ask further but looked curiously at the overly youthful attire of the nanny, who, while she could carry off such a pink outfit, seed mismatched for her age.
"Will there be sothing tasty on your date?" Little Taotie asked.
The nanny nodded, "Yes, we’re eting at a great restaurant. I’ll try the food first, and if it’s good, I’ll take you there next ti."
Little Taotie obediently nodded, "You have to eat well, okay? You can’t skip als."
The nanny had been skipping als every now and then recently to lose weight, which had worried Little Taotie.
The nanny looked at the little girl’s sowhat adult-like expression and couldn’t help but laugh, her heart feeling warm. She nodded, "I will eat well. I’ll get going then."
Little Taotie waved at the nanny, "Goodbye Auntie."
"Alright, goodbye Little Taotie."
As they watched the nanny leave, Little Taotie went upstairs to wash hands and change clothes.
Gu Yixing: "Is she dating?"
Qin Xin: "Didn’t notice it."
Cheng Guodong: "Maybe this will make her a bit happier, open up a bit."
Qin Xin: "When you have money, there’s more trouble. Her vexing relatives have finally left her alone, so she should live for herself and find soone who appreciates her."
Cheng Guodong: "She’s not young anymore, I’m a bit worried she might get deceived."
Tao Bin interjected at just the right ti, "She’s dressed too pink, feels weird, maybe her date is younger than she is?"
Hearing this, Cheng Guodong and Qin Xin both frowned. Cheng Guodong felt worried, as they had beco attached after so long, and already considered her family.
Qin Xin was more concerned that the person approaching the nanny had ill intentions. If the target were the elder brother, or him, or Gu Yixing, it wouldn’t be as concerning, but if it were the younger sister, it wouldn’t be good.
Gu Yixing: "I have a lot of reporter friends. They’re pretty fast at investigating things. I’ll ask soone to help investigate."
Tao Bin was surprised, "Isn’t investigating sothing detectives do?"
Gu Yixing: "Forgot to tell you, reporters don’t earn much, so they occasionally play detective, helping those wealthy ladies catch cheating husbands or sothing."
"Impressive, you know people like that."
"In this circle, you have to treat everyone well, good or bad. Especially reporters, offending them ans trouble for , might even stir up so inexplicable bad press."
