Little Taotie and Yuanyuan’s nas were submitted simultaneously, so they were placed at the sa table. Four people could sit at the table, and joining them were two individuals from different countries.
One had very fair skin, with sunspots across their face, likely a local.
The other was very dark-skinned, with strikingly white teeth. They greeted Little Taotie, their smile showcasing their dazzling teeth, "I didn’t expect a kid to join. How old are you this year?"
Dressed to appear older, Little Taotie appeared about nine or ten years old and casually responded in local dialect, "Ten years old."
"Not bad, young man. Do you have confidence?" asked the White Person.
Little Taotie puffed his chest with a confident face, "My appetite is quite big!"
The four enjoyed a pleasant conversation for a while until the sound of the starting horn signaled the beginning of the contest.
Servers brought food to each table, piled-up hamburgers.
These were the true and literal "Giants"!
The gigantic buns were as large as the table, packed with countless beef patties, estimated to be over eight patties each.
The person in a Chef’s uniform sliced the large hamburger into four parts, gesturing invitingly, "The ten tables that finish their hamburgers first will advance to the next round."
Upon hearing this, so were glad, so were sad.
This wasn’t an individual contest, more a team event.
If one of the four held the team back, the other three wouldn’t progress to the next round!
At tables with four burly participants, they exchanged smiles, but any table with one skinny person drew frowns from the other three with displeased expressions.
At Little Taotie’s table, the previously friendly White Person and Black Man now wore equally dark faces!
Their once friendly glances turned into ones filled with rejection and disdain, casting malicious looks towards Little Taotie.
White Person: "I advise you to withdraw from the contest yourself."
Black Man: "Don’t drag us down."
They had already decided the ten-year-old boy would beco a hindrance, slowing their table’s chance of advancing.
Little Taotie didn’t expect their attitudes to change so quickly, turning hostile in an instant, leaving him montarily speechless.
However, Yuanyuan was quick to counter: "You are free to forfeit, or change seats—there are many options, but you have no right to make choices for soone else!"
"Your willingness to stick with this kid is your business; you may want to lose, but it doesn’t an we want to!" The White Person glared fiercely at Little Taotie, "If you don’t withdraw, watch how I deal with you."
As they spoke, they clenched their fist, creating a nacing sound with the grind of their knuckles, "crack crack," intimidating.
Faced with a different child, maybe they really would be scared.
But Little Taotie casually picked up a fork from the table, smiling, and under the shocked gaze of the White and Black Persons, bent the stainless steel fork with his bare hands!
"Is he performing magic?" soone from the neighboring table leaned over to watch.
The White Person snorted, "Don’t try fooling people with such tricks, kid. Now I am not dealing with you, but after the contest, let’s see if you dare walk away!"
Curious, the person from the neighboring table asked, "Why are you all arguing? How did this little guy offend you?"
The White Person snapped angrily, "He can’t possibly finish the hamburger; he’s intentionally dragging us down. I want him to quit, but he refuses."
"How can you underestimate people? I think this little guy is quite good."
The White Person shouted furiously, "Stop making sarcastic comnts. If you have the guts, switch places with !"
