Seeing the two kids go up and hearing no screams or cries from above, it was clearly safe. The three exchanged glances and chose to climb one by one.

Upon reaching their layers and finding themselves alone, everyone realized sothing was wrong. Attempting to head back down the stairs to leave, they found the staircase behind them vanished the mont they left, looking down they saw nothing but unfathomable darkness.
Little Taotie called into the darkness: "Teacher! Hua Jinyan! Hello?"
Shouting for a long ti yielded no response.
Standing on the edge, Little Taotie’s little feet fidgeted, pondering whether jumping down would lead to her demise.
Ultimately, she didn’t jump because soone was talking to her from behind.
She vaguely heard soone calling her: "Little Taotie... Little Taotie..."
Curious about who was calling her, she turned around but saw no one.
Driven by curiosity, the little girl walked slowly towards the source of the sound.
Her eyes seed distracted, pupils slightly unfocused, and the closer she got to the sound source, the dimr her gaze beca, gradually turning hollow...
Finally reaching the source, Little Taotie’s perspective was totally dark.
But before her stood a withered branch.
It was this very branch calling her, summoning her here.
The branch seed to co alive, starting to wriggle, while green leaves began to sprout from it, growing larger, extending a vine or perhaps a green stem towards Little Taotie, like a green python slowly wrapping around the little girl.
It had already wrapped Little Taotie tightly, the girl’s body resembling a sectioned vegetarian chicken.
Her breathing beca slightly unstable, and the green "python" finally reached her neck, about to encircle it.
