Illusion, everything is just an illusion.
Little Taotie gradually realized she was in a dreamscape. She was quick to grasp this mainly because she often dread, and many tis it’s like watching a story or mories from a third-person perspective.
This ti, however, the feeling of choking reached a certain extent, leaving one puzzled.
In reality, she was choking herself, after all, one’s own body isn’t as harsh when dealing with oneself.
Thus, the ti before death was prolonged.
In the dreamscape, Little Taotie’s neck was choked by vines for too long. She should have suffocated to death, yet she was still alive, and as ti passed, she cald down.
"Let... go." Her voice was hoarse, sounding like a worn-out horn, due to the choking pressure on her neck.
The vines tried to exert more force, but the strength on Little Taotie’s neck was minimal.
In reality, Little Taotie’s hands around her neck gradually relaxed, slowly falling to her sides.
Seeing Little Taotie’s hands leave her neck, Hua Jinyan and Feng Qi both breathed a sigh of relief.
Actually, Feng Qi wasn’t very sure, but she was prepared to intervene at any mont. It seed now that it wasn’t necessary.
Little Taotie was still in the dreamscape. She realized it was a dream, and she could escape it anyti she wanted. But she didn’t intend to leave imdiately; she wanted to see if there were any revelations in this dream.
The vines, upon realizing they were discovered, frantically recoiled.
What once appeared fierce turned into an ordinary dry branch, who would have thought that a second ago it was extending countless vines like an octopus.
Little Taotie slowly approached the dry branch. In the dreamscape, consciously controlling one’s body is quite difficult. She wanted to move quickly, but when it ca to action, it turned into a slow advance.
Her bending motion was also very slow, resembling the pace of a snail, in slow-motion.
The dry branch in the dreamscape tampered with her control over her body, but maintaining this illusion was already challenging; isolating Little Taotie’s consciousness was nearly impossible.
Finally, the dry branch made a last desperate attempt, completely shattering the dreamscape just before Little Taotie could touch it.
The surrounding scene scattered like broken glass, and Little Taotie’s conscious was expelled, suddenly returning to her body, which shivered three tis rapidly upon waking.
"You’re awake!" Feng Qi excitedly floated over.
Hua Jinyan reached out to hold Little Taotie’s hand. He said nothing, but his eyes seed to contain countless unspoken words.
Little Taotie exhaled a breath, feeling a slight pain in her neck, raising her hand to touch it.
Feng Qi conjured an illusionary mirror in mid-air.
Through the magical mirror, Little Taotie saw herself, her neck reddened, marked by two little handprints.
Little Taotie looked at Hua Jinyan in shock, "Did you want to strangle in my sleep?"
Hua Jinyan: "..."
Unable to hold back, Feng Qi laughed heartily, clutching her belly, her large tail swaying, "You did it yourself. You almost strangled yourself."
This ti, it was Little Taotie’s turn to be speechless. Her eyes widened as if hearing a tall tale, pointing at herself in disbelief, "How could that be? I was dreaming."
"Did the vines choke you in the dream?" Feng Qi asked.
Little Taotie nodded, "Yes, the vines strangled my neck."
