Qin Xin looked toward Hua Jinyan, asking, “How did she die?”
Hua Jinyan said gravely, “The Special Departnt went to investigate her, and right after, she died in a car accident.”
Qin Xin said, “That’s literally a death escape.”
Hua Jinyan stated, “I don’t rule out that possibility, it’s still under investigation.”
“Was it caused by the journal?” Qin Xin asked worriedly.
Hua Jinyan slightly pursed his lips, reluctant to elaborate, but seeing the concern in the eyes of the two, knowing they truly cared for Little Taotie, he uncharacteristically said a lot more to reassure them.
“During the operation, one person escaped; this person knew the Special Departnt had two kids, so it’s not ruled out that he arranged for soone to enter the school to investigate and Little Taotie, confirming targets from the journal. For the following week, this person monitored every move of Little Taotie until the Special Departnt intervened, then opted for death escape. From her action to escape through death, it shows they are scared, lurking like mice, observing stealthily, and choosing to flee once exposed.”
Seeing their concern unabated, Hua Jinyan earnestly promised, “I will protect her.”
Qin Xin asked, “Was it you who discovered her journal was torn up, sensed sothing off about the art teacher, and had the Special Departnt look into her, leading to the art teacher’s panic and flight?”
Hua Jinyan nodded.
If it weren’t for him, his promise would hold no weight, but now that everything was discovered by this seven-year-old child before any adult, his promise is trustworthy.
