Little Taotie returned ho and heard her three brothers arguing.
She was a bit worried, they were at each other’s throats, as if about to co to blows.
She didn’t know why they were fighting, ran over quickly "thump-thump," and stood between the three of them.
Small and with a childish voice, she said, "Don’t fight, we are a loving family!"
Upon hearing this, the three of them fell silent.
They looked at each other awkwardly.
Seeing that they had stopped, Little Taotie began to diate the dispute like a head of the household, asking "Why were you fighting?"
None of them spoke.
Little Taotie sighed, "Can’t you tell why you were fighting? You always treat as a child and never tell anything!"
Cheng Guodong replied, "Aren’t you a child?"
Qin Xin added, "Sister, with your old-fashioned ways, you’re like a little old lady."
Gu Yixing chid in, "Sister, you’re so cute!"
Little Taotie reached out and grabbed Cheng Guodong’s hand, and with the other hand grabbed Qin Xin’s hand, stacking the two hands together, then went to grab Gu Yixing’s hand, finally placing her own small hand on top, stacking all four hands together.
"We are family and shouldn’t hide anything from each other!" Little Taotie, in her childish voice, asked, "Can you now tell why you were fighting? If you still refuse to tell , it ans you don’t consider part of the family!"
Little Taotie pretended to be sad and puffed out her lip, "I’m going to start crying!"
Cheng Guodong, feeling helpless, said, "It’s nothing serious, just a petty quarrel, it’s fine."
Qin Xin nodded, "It was a disagreent where no one wanted to concede, so it led to a quarrel. It was just a small argunt, it won’t hurt our feelings."
Gu Yixing, unlike the other two being evasive, seriously told Little Taotie the cause.
"The teacher called, there is a Parents’ eting at the end of the month. We three all want to attend, but only one representative can go, and that’s why we were arguing over the spot."
Upon hearing this, Little Taotie blinked and pointed at her small nose, "So... you were fighting over the spot for my Parents’ eting?"
Cheng Guodong avoided Little Taotie’s questioning gaze, feeling that admitting they were fighting over this reason seed childish and embarrassing in front of his sister.
Qin Xin smiled, but internally cursed at Gu Yixing: Bigmouth! Don’t we have any dignity?
Gu Yixing, unabashed, squatted down, and asked, "Sister, since I was the only one who honestly confessed, shouldn’t I get a reward?"
"Reward?" Little Taotie thought for a second, nodded her head, and with a soft cooing voice responded, "You should get a reward! Brother Xingxing, what do you want?"
Gu Yixing glanced at his older brothers with a mischievous smile, then turned back to Little Taotie with a gentle smile, "I’ve never been to your school yet, while both of them have, so it’s my turn now. How about letting go to the Parents’ eting this ti?"
"Gu Yixing!" Cheng Guodong roared.
This guy, so sly! Qin Xin smiled, but his eyes held a dangerous glint.
Gu Yixing patted his chest, feigning fear, "Big brother, I’m not deaf, you don’t have to shout."
"I am the oldest! I make the decisions in this house, I am the head of the family! I should be the one to go to the Parents’ eting!" Cheng Guodong declared authoritatively.
Gu Yixing sighed, spoke gently, "You’ve already taken Little Taotie to school, attended the midterm Parents’ eting, and the last parent-child event was attended by the second brother. Now it’s my turn."
Qin Xin smirked, "That’s not how it should be calculated. At that ti, you weren’t our third brother yet, not a mber of this family, so you can’t count the previous two tis, it should start from scratch. If we go by turns, it should be the eldest brother this ti."
Cheng Guodong nodded, satisfied that his second brother was on his side, and gave a thumbs up.
Gu Yixing spread his hands, "What now? You two are ganging up against ?"
Cheng Guodong glared at him, his eyes conveying: Yes, we are ganging up against you, what about it! That’s what you get for being the youngest!
Gu Yixing, unbothered, imdiately sought help, looking pitifully at Little Taotie, "Sister~, you promised a reward. I don’t want anything else, just to attend your Parents’ eting. What they say doesn’t matter, only what you say counts. Will you let go?"
