Now reading: Chapter 1432 - 1410: Half Understanding, Not Understanding ( from The Lucky Farmgirl, a Romance novel by Bamboo Rain.

However, the color of this dicine is as peculiar as the antidote given to him last ti.

The previous potion was blue, but this one is green. They don’t have such a dicine here, it’s suspicious to take it.

Once might be understandable, but if it happens again, surely the Crown Prince will beco suspicious.

Don’t even think about secretly putting it in the Crown Prince’s water, because anything imported is inspected by those around the Crown Prince.

Even if it’s decocting dicine, two people have to watch without blinking from the mont it’s delivered until it reaches the Crown Prince’s hands, never leaving the public’s sight.

So...

Manbao poked Shangcheng, deciding to wait a bit longer. If the Crown Prince really couldn’t hold on, she’d give it to him, letting Bai Shan think of an excuse for her later.

But after that, Manbao rarely saw any substantial progress with the Crown Prince, though he discreetly t people outside the palace several tis.

But it was just forming alliances, he hasn’t ntioned starting an uprising. Manbao felt it was still safe for now, mainly because she and Bai Shan had checked, and that person called Gan Bin was said to be returning to the capital for rotation in March.

Of course, this was from asking Yin Huo, and they dared not let Yin Li know.

Because they didn’t know if Yin Li knew Gan Bin was the Crown Prince’s man. What if he knew and they ssed things up?

Nervously passing another ten days, today Manbao went into the palace to take the Crown Prince’s pulse and insert needles, then sneaked a question about the Crown Princess’s period, asking, "If I’m not mistaken, your period was regular last month, right?"

The Crown Princess froze, then blushed and nodded, sowhat expectantly looking at Manbao, "Yes."

Manbao nodded at her, confidently saying, "I calculated, from today until the day after tomorrow is your ovulation period. These three days are the best ti for conception. It’s just right that you’ve stopped taking the dicine. Ahem, you can try with the Crown Prince tonight."

The Crown Princess blushed further, looking towards the Crown Prince lying on the bed.

Crown Prince: ...

Although the two spoke in low voices, he had good martial skills and sharp hearing, didn’t he?

Manbao also turned her head to glance at the Crown Prince, thinking of sothing she said, "Tonight, there’s no need for the Crown Prince to take any dicine. I can prescribe so dicinal food for him."

The Crown Princess, puzzled, asked, "What dicinal food? Can dicinal food treat it?"

Manbao whispered, "No, does the Eastern Palace have deer whip, ox whip or anything like that?"

The Crown Princess’s face turned an even deeper shade of red.

Seeing this, Manbao knew they did. She then ground ink and wrote a prescription for dicinal food, whispering, "They say it’s useful."

Crown Princess: "... Who told you?"

Manbao tilted her head, thinking for a mont before saying, "Shopkeeper Zheng and Doctor Ding both said it works well."

Thinking of the green jade hairpin the Crown Princess privately gifted them, Manbao hesitated slightly but still reached into her sleeve and took out, actually from her space, a small notebook.

She handed it to the Crown Princess, whispering, "For conception, good stuff, you can secretly look at it with the Crown Prince tonight."

Curious, the Crown Princess opened it and took a glance, almost flinging the notebook away. She looked at Manbao with a face full of shock.

Manbao was no longer the child who knew nothing; especially now engaged to Bai Shan, her face was slightly flushed, but she felt life was more important.

Now if anyone wanted the Crown Prince to have a child, besides the Crown Prince and his wife, she felt it was definitely her and Bai Shan.

So this bit of sha could totally be discarded, and she was a doctor. As a doctor, one had to be concerned with the urgency of the patient.

Manbao leaned into the Crown Princess’s ear and quietly instructed her.

The Crown Princess’s whole face was about to burst into flas, but she leaned against Manbao, seriously listening. After hearing, she turned to seriously examine her, seeing her also blushing; she couldn’t help but find it both exasperating and amusing. Finally, more amusent prevailed. She nodded Manbao’s forehead and asked, "I wonder who you learned from, to pick up all these things."

Manbao whispered, "This was all from research I specifically conducted when my eldest sister got married over three years ago."

Of course, it was Teacher Mo who guided her in the research.

She quietly said, "My eldest sister conceived soon after marriage, and my nephew now can walk."

The Crown Princess felt a vague sense of envy and instinctively clutched the booklet Manbao had given her.

After Manbao removed the needles from the Crown Prince, she hesitated a bit, then said on behalf of the Crown Princess to the Crown Prince, "Your Highness, tonight you and the Crown Princess can try to share the bed. These two or three days are good days; no need for dicine tonight, you can eat the dicinal food."

Manbao, ever considerate, asked, "Do you want to co to the palace again tomorrow?"

"No need," the Crown Prince replied without expression, "Co again in five days."

Doesn’t need to be that long, does it?

But faced with the Crown Prince’s gaze, Manbao shrank a bit, obediently agreed, and slipped away.

After she scurried off with her dicine box, the Crown Princess couldn’t help but laugh softly, her smile blossoming like a flower, as she said, "This child, where does she get all these ideas?"

The Crown Prince rely snorted without comnting.

The Crown Prince hadn’t summoned anyone to his chambers for a long ti; that night, he found the booklet Manbao had left for the Crown Princess from her, glanced at it, and then watched it together with the Crown Princess.

Five days later, when Manbao returned to the palace, she still didn’t know if the Crown Princess was pregnant, but judging by the couple’s mood, they seed pretty good.

Following routine, Manbao administered needles to the Crown Prince and prescribed him herbs as usual.

They didn’t know whether or not she’d conceived yet, but even if she had, the treatnt should continue to build a strong foundation.

The Crown Prince lay there with his shirt off, and as Manbao took out her acupuncture kit, she turned and saw the wound on his back, involuntarily exclaiming, "What happened, Your Highness? How did you get injured?"

The Crown Princess’s face turned red and discreetly left the room.

Manbao didn’t notice, but the Crown Prince glanced at her, seeing her frowning in confusion and couldn’t help but teasingly ask, "What, you didn’t know?"

Manbao, completely bewildered, asked in surprise, "Why would I know? Does this injury have sothing to do with ?"

The Crown Prince wanted to tease her so more, but the Crown Princess returned with a cup of tea, offering it in front of him as a silent warning, "Your Highness, you seem thirsty. Would you like so tea?"

Having just shared affection the night before, the Crown Prince couldn’t very well embarrass her today. So, he took the cup of tea, finished it in one gulp, and lay back down, "Go ahead."

Manbao gazed at the wound on his back for a long ti, not speaking before finally switching to a different acupuncture technique to avoid the injured areas.

She felt the injury looked like a cat scratch, but it couldn’t be a cat. Who would stand still and let a cat scratch such a large area?

With her brows knit tightly, after finishing the needling, she rummaged through the dicine box and found a jar of ointnt to hand to the Crown Princess, "This is for the Crown Prince’s wound. It should help it heal faster. Your Highness, you should advise the Crown Prince; he’s only just getting better, he shouldn’t be fighting."

The Crown Prince, who was about to fall asleep, was jolted awake by amusent at her words, his laughter almost shifting the needles in his back.
