As the crowd beca chaotic, Bai Shan was startled and tried to move forward to reach Manbao, but it was too late. People around seed to be helping find a child, and the crowd that was slowly moving beca turbulent, with many breaking through the guards’ isolation and rushing between them. In the blink of an eye, Bai Shan could no longer see Manbao, nor Bai Erlang.

Bai Shan could only shout loudly, "Manbao, Bai Er, go to the lantern shed, to Jishi Hall or back to our Bai Family’s lantern shed, did you hear ?"

Bai Erlang held Mingda tightly and pushed away those pressing in, to prevent them from squeezing her. He heard it, but had no ti to respond at the mont.

Mingda only felt surrounded by people on all sides, with Bai Er creating a space for her. Looking up, she could only see one person after another, unable to even see the lanterns on either side.

Her heart pounded wildly, and she couldn’t help but touch the bracelet on her wrist, finding it still there. She quietly took a deep breath, found her breathing smooth, and there was no strange sll, finally sighing in relief.

She reached out to grab Bai Er, intending to ask about the guards, but glimpsed one trying to push through the crowd with difficulty. However, another person squeezed in from the side, and she suddenly lost sight of the guard.

Bai Er, who was also looking around for the guards, found that the ones who were guarding them had been dispersed. Feeling people collide with him from all directions and hearing screams everywhere...

A person passing behind his back had sothing rubbing against him, causing a stinging pain, preventing him from looking back or even touching it with his hand.

With both hands holding Mingda tightly, trying to open up space for her, he waited for a mont and, finding no guards available, decided to move forward with the crowd, saying through gritted teeth, "Let’s move forward, and try to go to the right later. It’s close to the edge and easier to escape."

This was the first ti Mingda encountered such a situation, and she nodded, her face slightly pale.

The screams, shouts, and cries in the crowd grew louder. Bai Shan noticed a hand feeling around his waist, pulling away the jade pendant and money pouch he was carrying.

He was montarily furious, his eyes turning red, but still held onto Mingda, realizing soone’s hand beca even more brazen, even reaching for Princess Mingda’s hand and waist. He retracted one hand and grabbed that hand, tilting his head, sliding his thumb downward before pressing hard, hearing a scream from slightly behind him.

Bai Erlang snorted coldly, released the hand, and slamd his body in the direction of the scream’s origin. The crowd gasped in shock, creating half a circle in the cramped space where it was difficult to even raise one’s head. Seeing this, Bai Erlang, without caring to retrieve his money pouch and jade pendant, quickly moved forward with Mingda through a gap...

Mingda’s hair was sowhat disheveled, nearly knocking into a table due to the force of soone behind her.

The stall owner beside them saw the sudden congestion and fearfully moved the table back. But even so, his place was still crowded with people, making it impossible to do business.

Bai Erlang, holding Mingda, circled behind the stall owner, using the lantern light to ask her, "Are you hurt?"

Mingda, holding the bracelet on her wrist tightly, almost had it pulled off earlier. She was a bit scared, but upon hearing Bai Erlang’s question, she shook her head, looking worriedly at the crowded people in front, "Manbao and Sister Changyu, and my people are still in there."

Bai Erlang was also anxious but reassured her, "It’s okay, as long as Princess Changyu stays close to Manbao, nothing will happen. She has needles with her."

He added, "Your people will be fine too, as long as no one falls, once so people get out, it will loosen up."

At this ti, Bai Shan was trying hard to walk out. He was initially not very worried when the crowd started to clog, still planning to move forward with the crowd to look around since they were heading forward just now.

But soon, the crying and wailing grew louder, followed by various people shouting "Er Niu," accompanied by everyone’s screams. He was clutching Daji with one hand and holding Bai Dalang tightly with the other, standing on tiptoe for a look, seeing confusion left-front and people constantly pushing in that direction.

He instinctively felt sothing was wrong and decisively stopped moving forward, instead grabbing Daji and Bai Dalang, saying, "Let’s turn around and get out."

Bai Dalang was anxious, "Where are we going? The two princesses are ahead; they can’t be in trouble."

"I know, but how do we find them with so many people? To ensure they are safe, everyone needs to be safe." Bai Shan had great confidence in Manbao and Bai Er, believing they wouldn’t lose the two princesses. As long as they stayed close, it wouldn’t matter if the guards and palace maids couldn’t keep up.

He said, "What’s critical now is that the people on this stretch mustn’t get into trouble. This is the main street, intersecting everywhere. Who knows how many streets have people converging here? They’re searching for traffickers; those inside can’t get out while outsiders keep pushing in. Sothing is bound to happen. Let’s get out first and find Senior Brother Tang!"

Bai Dalang gritted his teeth, turned, and followed Bai Shan in pushing people aside, enduring curses and screams as they forced their way to another side, then moved out following the movent of the crowd...

Daji exerted effort to open up a path for them.

Once in a spacious area, Bai Shan imdiately sprinted further away, turning back to look at the still crowded scene behind. He then turned to Daji, saying, "Look around here, find a shop, preferably a teahouse or restaurant type, right at the intersection of two roads and the tallest."

Daji, being tall with sharp eyes, scanned the area and pointed to a building ahead, "Young Master, there."

"Let’s go." Bai Shan started running.

The three ran to the entrance, Bai Shan saw it was a restaurant, and walked in. The clerk greeted them with a smile, but Bai Shan directly approached the manager, asking, "Where are the County Governntal Office’s officers? Have him co down to see ."

The manager: ...

He scrutinized Bai Shan, seeing that although he looked a bit disheveled, his clothes were decent, and squeezed out a smile, saying, "Young Master, what do you need with the officers?"

Bai Shan searched his body, found the pass for the palace gate, and showed it to the manager, his face serious, "Have them co down!"

Not daring to joke around, the manager quickly complied with a smile and went upstairs to call soone.

Before long, an officer ca stomping down the stairs, initially looking dissatisfied, but upon seeing Bai Shan, his expression changed imdiately. Previously heavy footsteps beca light as he quickly trotted down several steps to greet, "Ah, it was Young Master Bai; what can I do for you?"
