The pulse can change, but this was Manbao’s first ti doing this. Even though she practiced on a human model at night, there were still so differences when dealing with a real person, as everyone’s physical condition is different.

While feeling the other person’s pulse, Manbao pressed different points on the body. Not sure what she was listening to, she took a needle, found the acupuncture point, and pierced it, causing a minor change in the pulse...

Once Manbao achieved the pulse she wanted, she pressed the important points on the other person and signaled for them to take turns feeling the pulse...

Manbao taught them little by little using this thod. After two days, even Dai Yi managed to grasp a little, not to ntion Aynara and Agu. By now, they could recognize the pulse of a smallpox patient.

After all, this was the pulse they had been learning and practicing for the past two days.

Confirming that Aynara and the others had truly learned the skills, the chief and the shaman were very pleased. Before they left, they chose three plump sheep to slaughter.

They made the best mutton and lamb soup for them to eat.

Since Aynara learned the best, she no longer needed to clean the sheepfold. At this mont, she sat beside Manbao, carving at for her with a small knife.

The chief was grateful, so he had the herbs and furs they had accumulated brought out. These were furs that hadn’t been sold after last autumn, and so were collected later. He presented these gifts to Zhou Man and the others.

Mr. Zhuang politely declined on their behalf but did not refuse the prepared food.

It wasn’t just the chief; even the shaman had grown closer to them, thinking they were indeed good people. At least in these past few days, they had seriously taught them to recognize herbs and treat smallpox.

Even though Bai Shan and the others were running around, they were only learning herding, navigation, finding water and grass, and milking cows and sheep from the nomads.

If this could be considered studying abroad, the shaman thought it wouldn’t be bad for noble young n from the Central Plains to co to their grasslands for education from ti to ti.

"Co, Miss Zhou, I toast to you. You are a good person."

Manbao laughed, raised her cup, took a small sip, and her whole face turned red. She couldn’t help but hiss, stuck out her tongue, and sipped. It was too spicy!

The chief laughed heartily as he watched, not forcing Zhou Man to drink further. After gulping down a bowl of wine, he said, "This is our horse milk wine. Drinking a bowl when it’s cold warms you right up. Mr. Zhuang, since you’re taking your students to study in the Western Regions, it’s even colder there. Would you like to take two jars?"

Mr. Zhuang didn’t refuse and accepted with a smile.

The atmosphere at the bonfire banquet improved. Young boys and girls ca out, dancing around the fire. Agu also stood up and went to Aynara’s side, saying, "Aynara, let’s dance."

Aynara glanced at Manbao and said, "You go ahead; I’m staying to carve at for my teacher."

Manbao had just eaten a slice of mutton, suppressing the taste of the wine in her mouth. She said, "Don’t worry about , go have fun."

Aynara shook her head, smiling.

Agu was disappointed but turned to invite Bai Shan and Bai Erlang instead.

Seeing them dance so joyously, Bai Shan stood up and joined them, following their lead by lifting his legs and waving his arms.

Bai Erlang jumped along a few tis, finding it fun, and called out to them, "Manbao, co on!"

Zhou Liru imdiately realized that her aunt and Aynara wanted to talk in private, so she invited Yin Huo, who was sitting next to Manbao, "Young Master Yin, co dance too. It’s also good for your health."

Seeing that he wasn’t moving, she went up to pull him into the group.

Yin Huo was a bit stiff. Having never danced before, he could only awkwardly follow along, waving his arms and lifting his feet.

Bai Shan laughed heartily, bouncing and turning around before joining Agu again, then glanced over at Manbao. Seeing her bowing her head talking with Aynara, he led the others in circles.

Manbao asked her quietly, "Have you decided not to change your mind?"

Aynara shook her head, "Thank you, teacher, I don’t plan to change."

Manbao nodded, and the topic wasn’t revisited.

Bai Shan ca back after a circle. Seeing her bowing her head to eat at, he knew their talk was over and pulled her, "Co, let’s dance, it really is so much fun."

The shaman saw the two of them holding hands and dancing around the fire and squinted, asking Mr. Zhuang, "Young Master Bai and Miss Zhou are so close, and they’re old enough. Why don’t they get married?"

Everyone knew they were engaged.

Mr. Zhuang smiled and said, "They’re still young and are continuing their studies, so there’s no rush."

Being so old and still not in a hurry — in their Tutu tribe, people his age were already parents of a few children.

The shaman’s gaze fell on Aynara and Agu.

After pondering for a mont, he turned to the chief, who was drinking to the point of turning red, and said, "Chief, tonight is a happy and worthy night. How about arranging a marriage for Agu?"

The chief was surprised and asked, "Who do you think is suitable, Shaman?"

His gaze fell on Aynara, his eyes deepening, "Aynara is quite good, and doesn’t Agu like her?"

The chief frowned, unsatisfied. Although Agu was the least remarkable among his four sons, he was still his son.

Previously, because of Aynara, he went against him and the shaman, violating the tribe’s rules, so he wasn’t too fond of them, let alone agreeing to their marriage.

Apparently seeing his thoughts, the shaman said, "Chief, Aynara is now the best learner. Her wrongdoings are almost atoned for, and she has learned how to treat smallpox, promising to contribute to the tribe in the future."

After much persuasion from the shaman, the chief finally nodded reluctantly, so when everyone was celebrating, he called out loudly, "Agu!"

Hearing this, Agu imdiately stepped forward and bowed, his face red from dancing, sweat on his forehead, "Shaman!"

The shaman nodded with a smile and said, "Agu, you’re not young anymore; it’s ti to get married."

Agu’s body stiffened, instinctively turning to look at Aynara.

The shaman too looked over, the corners of his mouth curling slightly, calling out, "Aynara."

Agu’s eyes imdiately brightened, and Aynara, sowhat dazed, stood up and walked to Agu’s side.

The shaman asked them, "Are you willing to beco husband and wife?"

Agu imdiately nodded, but Aynara couldn’t help looking at the chief. Seeing his face wasn’t very pleasant, she didn’t respond right away.

Agu then turned and thumped his chest at Aynara, saying strongly, "Aynara, marry , and I will protect you for life."

Aynara was also a bit excited. She bit her lip, looked at the shaman, then at the chief, seeing one smile and the other wearing a stern face but remaining silent. She then couldn’t help but look to Zhou Man.

eting her gaze, Manbao was montarily surprised, then smiled and nodded to her.

Only then did Aynara nod to Agu, who was overjoyed. Lifting Aynara onto his shoulder, he ran around the campfire, shouting with joy.

The young bystanders imdiately joined in, cheering and surrounding the two with excitent.
