"What did he do?" she asked, trying to restrain her excitent. Yu Wen rarely told her anything or asked for advice, so she didn’t want to ruin it by acting too excited. She didn’t want to scare him away.

"He... he helped that night when he didn’t have to. He could have thrown out onto the street and let embarrass myself. Not only that, but he gifted the figurine. I just... I just don’t understand why he would do that for when he knows I hate him," he said, the pain in his voice evident.

Lu Anu looked at the small ch with genuine surprise. She rembered when his son brought it back ho, he was so excited that he didn’t even let her touch it.
