"You're eating this for breakfast!"

As expected, the little girl imdiately retorted.

"Then who are you taking this for?" Hua Ling asked.

"For Xiaoxiangzhu?"

"You want my Xiaoxiangzhu to eat this?"

"Make it clear, it's not yours, it's my Xiaoxiangzhu." The little girl said seriously, "Besides, although it doesn't look great, it has high nutritional value and is ridiculously expensive."

"How expensive can it be?"

"Don't be fooled by the small amount, it's at least thirty bucks, no less."

Hua Ling put her hands on her hips and said with no expression, "Do I look that easy to fool?"

"Talking to soone like you who hasn't seen much, it's hard to have a conversation." The little girl said angrily, "Believe it or not, if you don't believe , then forget it!"

After saying this, she headed to the corner where Xiaoxiangzhu's castle was located.

Hua Ling looked at Xiao Feng and asked, "Is she telling the truth?"

Xiao Feng nodded, indicating confirmation.

In fact, the little girl wasn't lying.

After all, Xiaoxiangzhu was part of another get-rich sche, and Xiao Feng attached great importance to it, providing top-notch feed.

During breakfast, Xiao Feng inford everyone about the annual assessnt.

Xue Nuofu certainly couldn't go, and due to age, Lao Ha, Aspergillus oryzae, and Lv Ziming also stayed at ho.

Zhao Guo'an and Zhen Jinghan wouldn't contribute much by going, as they wouldn't pass the assessnt, so they stayed ho with Sun Shijie.

Aside from these six, everyone else set off under Hua Ling's leadership to the assessnt location to familiarize themselves with the site and assessnt items.

...

This year's assessnt was at a remote mountain.

Vehicles could only go as far as the foot of the mountain, beyond which climbing was necessary.

Getting off the car, Hua Ling explained to everyone, "There are so things you need to know in advance. Once you climb up, you can't co down until the assessnt is over.

This is for confidentiality purposes, so if there's anything you really need to handle personally, it's best to do it before going up the mountain."

"Why didn't you say earlier?" the little girl was the first to express dissatisfaction.

Hua Ling snorted, "Saying it now isn't too late, we're not up the mountain yet, right?"

"If you'd said earlier, we could have brought toiletries and a change of clothes before leaving the house." Lin Jiaxuan stood next to the little girl, with an equally discontented expression.

Hua Ling shook her head, "You don't need to bring anything; everything will be provided uniformly after going up the mountain, including all necessary daily supplies for girls during their nstrual period."

Saying this, Hua Ling glanced secretly at Xiao Feng, her cheeks turning red and hot, recalling the scene of her first nstruation.

"Does anyone have anything that needs personal handling?" Xiao Feng turned to the group.

The little girl raised her hand first, "If I don't go back, won't Xiaoxiangzhu starve to death?"

Xiao Feng nodded, that was indeed a problem.

Other than the little girl, Xiaoxiangzhu wouldn't even look at what others fed her. If she really starves to death, it would be a joke.

"I'll feed Xiaoxiangzhu," Hua Ling volunteered.

The little girl eyed her, temporarily suppressing her discontent, and gave detailed instructions, including how to mix the feed, the quantity, and feeding frequency.

After listening to the little girl's lengthy dissertation, Hua Ling sighed, "I didn't believe it before, but after hearing you, it's clear you genuinely care about Xiaoxiangzhu."

The little girl snorted, rolling her eyes, "This is the first sensible thing you've said since I've known you."

"Oh, really?" Hua Ling raised an eyebrow, glancing sideways, "I only talk sensibly to people. Naturally, I don't to non-humans."

"Are you calling non-human?"

"You said I don't talk sensibly!"

With just a few words, the two started bickering again.

The group was speechless at the scene, but they were used to it and didn't find it strange.

After a while, noticing that Hua Ling and the little girl weren't stopping, Xiao Feng clapped his hands and said, "Alright, if you'd spent that ti arguing on the way, you'd have already reached the mountain top."

Hua Ling and the little girl glared at each other, then simultaneously snorted and turned their heads away,

Though both acted like they wouldn't give in to the other, they stopped quarreling.

The path up the mountain wasn't narrow, but it was uneven, with so areas having more than half a ter difference in height, hence vehicles couldn't go up.

More importantly, the path was exposed with nothing on either side, not even a tree or a sizeable rock.

From the mountain top, the view downhill was vast and unobstructed.

This might be one of the main reasons the mountain was chosen as the assessnt site.

After about forty minutes of walking, they reached a checkpoint.

On seeing Xiao Feng and the group, a sentry stepped forward, stood at attention, saluted, then said sternly, "Beyond this is a restricted area. If you don't have a pass, please turn back!"

Hua Ling walked up and said, "I'm one of the examiners for this assessnt."

"You?" The sentry looked Hua Ling up and down, full of doubt.

However, he still presented a tablet-like device to Hua Ling.

Hua Ling chuckled, extended her right hand, and pressed her thumb on the screen as if marking a fingerprint.

With a 'beep,' Hua Ling's personal information appeared on the screen.

The sentry lowered his head, his eyes moving back and forth between the screen and Hua Ling, checking repeatedly before speaking, "Alright, now imitate a cat owing with ."

"Together...woof woof woof woof woof!"

Xiao Feng and the others were puzzled—weren't they supposed to imitate a cat?

Yet the sentry saluted again before turning back and shouting, "Pass!"

Everyone realized that the "imitate a cat" was actually a code.

Admittedly, this answer-not-really-related-to-the-question kind of code was comndable for its security.

Though compared to the Celestial Defect Sect's code phrases, it seed trivial.

After passing the checkpoint, they noticed a lot of people in camouflage busy on the mountain top, setting up tents and arranging the area.

As they worked, they shouted slogans, making the scene lively!

At this point, a brawny man approached, demanding, "Hand over your weapons and personal communication devices!"

This abrupt command startled many, with their eyes showing varying degrees of discontent.

Still, no one complained, each taking out their phones and any weapons they carried.

Iron Kid held his phone and said, "If I hand over my phone, how will my girlfriend contact ?"

"Look closely, there's no signal. Even if you keep it, it's just a brick," Hui Shiba said from the side.

"No signal? Then why are they collecting our phones?" Iron Kid pursued.

Lu Yao speculated, "Probably to prevent random photography."

"Why are you all dawdling? Why so much chatter?" the burly man across shouted.
